Great Day for Up, led by Mike Vitali and Michael Langone, hit the scene in 1999 and finally gelled with the addition of Jared Krak on drums and Brendan Slater (ex-Clay People) on bass. Formed in Albany, New York, Great Day for Up is a cross-pollination of bands from the Northeast (NYC's Greys, Boston's Ajna Chakra, and Albany's Stigmata) that has found, tapped, and booted their own particular vein of East Coast Rock. 2002 & '03 saw a lot of touring and the release of both their debut EP, Ready Rock and their first full-length effort, God Loves A Sinner. After spending the past half a decade constantly growing and evolving, Great Day for Up has finally hit their stride. They have found a home at Small Stone Records. Great Day for Up have established a niche. For the last few years, they have been ramming into cities up and down the Eastern Seaboard playing mile-high live sets of aggressive, lethal high-energy rock and leaving just as quickly and silently as they arrived; it's no wonder they've been winning the hearts and praise of fans and fellow bands alike.
