Hotel St. George are an indie rock band that has the swagger of the UK while mixing in the grit of New York. So it may surprise you that they actually hail from San Diego, CA.
The band includes Matt Binder (guitar, vocals), Erik Visnyak (Bass, vocal), Simon Leader (drums) and Brian Riley (guitar, keyboard) and made their live debut at the Casbah in Sandiego, CA on November 30, 2007. They’ve since shared the main stage with local boys Writer, as well as perennial threats to national breakout, Louis XIV.
Their debut EP, Yipee (produced by Mike Kamoo of the Stereotypes) was released in July of 2008, followed shortly by the full-length Hundreds and Thousands in November of the same year. The band's third album, City Boy Lemon, was released in December 2009.
Hotel St. George won a SPIN Magazine fan voting contest to secure their spot on the MLB 2K10 soundtrack.
