that looked terrible imo. The gameplay seemed like last years still. The base runner only gets a single after hitting it all the way to the wall, and the OF arm strength still looks way to powerful.

My head was called for when i said the gameplay looked just like last years. When the CF picked up the ball, his body spun, and delivered a flatfooted through back in.

Watch video #2, around the 0:38-0:40 second mark, a fan in the back says... "C'mon Tubby!" as C.C winds up...

Dude, did you even watch the video, you are talking about the Angels ones right? The first hit?
He could have easily made it to second, and the throw to the 2nd baseman took him off the bag with a one hop. It looked pretty natural.
You can tell they (the player) held the runner up. The runner was about to go and was held back, you can see it in the little PIP window.

Aramis Ramirez looks so realistic. I also like how CCs hat is turnt to the side a little bit as it always is in real life.

I don't know where all the doubts are coming from, but I'm loving what I'm seeing from this game! It looks nothing at all like last years debacle, there's so many new aspects and things done better or simply right. For example... the bat sounds do sound better, and they are varied depending on the contact. Also, the animations are vastly improved and batters actually swing correctly. I don't have an issue with the rocket arms that people are saying are "still there", but maybe I'm too simplistic. The variation in the details, uniforms, accessories, stances, lighting, attendance, and sound all seem vastly improved to me, IMHO.
Also, that runner could have made it to second base, my guess is that the human controlling him held him up either because he wasn't sure if he could make it, or maybe because he didn't know the controls.
Maybe I'm easy to please, but I've never considered myself in that way when it comes to games. This game looks solid!
Those 5 new screenshots look unbelievable!
Anyone agree?
Peace

Did you even play last years game? The base runners always rounded the base regardless. The way the CF throws the ball was still to powerful, and he was pulled off the bag but I bet magically he would of reappeared like lighting and tag the runner out just like in 2k6. I won't give the developers any credit until I see footage that proves they fixed the problems.

how can you say that when it didnt even happen and you cant judge gameplay by a video you have to play in order to get a feel

Yes I played last years. For a whole 10 minutes. I hated it, I loathed it, it was the worst baseball game I played since the Triple Play Arcade series. I returned it the SAME DAY and bought a brand new slim PS2 and The Show because 2K6 sucked so bad.
But this game looks NIGHT AND DAY compared to last years. The throw from the outfield looked no different one hopping the 2nd baseman off the bag than it does when they fail to use a cut off man in real life.
And to say he would magically appear, etc. Reserve judgment until the game comes out.

Lokk at other videos, I have seen Big Papi hit a standup double already so I don't know what you are talking about, alot of outfielder have shown different arm strength/ accuracy in different videos

lol you played it for a whole 10 mins. You must be an expert at this game. I don't see how you can say this game will be so much different besides the eye candy and added features. The gameplay will be almost identical. Watch the only way to score runs as usual will be by hitting the homerun. I hope I am wrong.

I was only using a figure of speech!
I never said the gameplay would be better, I said the game looks night and day better. I said reserve judgment for gameplay when the game comes out, because no video will tell you how it is. Hell these look no different than the gameplay videos (animations wise) from The Show, and we know that was leaps and bounds better gameplay.
Reading comprehension is a good skill to have.

In the first video, when D Lee grounds out to the Shortstop, I thought that would have been a good time for an animation that had the SS either spin and throw or shuffle his feet and turn to first and throw. I didn't like the fact that he continued in a straight line towards right field while throwing to first. It looked very unorthodox. But with that being said, it was good to see the throw lob a little bit.
Secondly, on Kotsays ball of the fence. I can't tell if the ball got to second from the CF too fast or not. It looked like it had some air under it (lobbish). I thought the CF was able to get to the ball to fast, especially considering that he played the bounce off the fence wrong. It just seemed like he made up a little to much ground too fast. But I also think if Kotsay didn't stop, he would have made it easily. It would have been interesting to see if the play would have been close at all. In real life, Kotsay runs pretty well and I think it's safe to say that if he hits a ball to fence in right center and the CF misplays it, thats a guaranteed double, possible triple.

My picture wasn't very clear, but can someone confirm that at the end of video # 3, that when #22 is just standing in the box, he is a black man? That's Milton Bradley and should be black, but on my computer, he looked a little too light. Again, this could just be my computer screen.
If someone could confirm this, I'd appreciate it.

It's probably because it hasn't changed much since last year. Like others have said, probably just a roster update and some minor tweaking.
I just finally got a 360, so I was in the same boat last year and earlier when NBA 2K7 came out.
But you got to look at it from their point of view. Most of the people who own an Xbox have probably moved on to the "next gen" system so that is now their bread and butter. All of their efforts are going to that system. Because of that, they want to invest in their future and not their pasts. Also, when they are selling the Xbox game for $19.99, they're not making much of a profit on it at all, so the more marketing they put in to the game, the less their profit is.
Think of it like the car business. You see advertisements for the 2006 models all day every day, but the second the 2007 models come out. You don't see the ad's for 2006 models anymore and see nothing but 2007 ad's. The 2006's are still sitting in the dealer lot's, but nobody really looks for the old models anymore (except right at the beginning, because there is usually a price drop, but that's neither here nor there).
My advice: Find stuff laying around your house that you don't need anymore and sell that stuff on eBay. You'll be suprised at how fast it adds up. I just sold my original Xbox for $100. ask your parents if there is stuff that they want to get rid of. You can sell it and split the profits. (A few years ago, I sold a bunch of old recording equipement and made a few thousand dollars of stuff that was just collecting dust in the attic).
or
Buy the Xbox 360 at Target. If you sign up for a Target card, you save 10%. So your Premium console with a game which would normally be $460 is now $414. Not cheap, but still a better deal. Plus, by signing up for the card, you give yourself a month to earn any extra money.
or
I think at Gamestop and EB games, if you trade in your Xbox, you'll get $80 towards a 360 instead of just $45 cash.
-Just some thoughts.

First, 'next-gen' (360, PS3) is now 'current-gen' and 'current-gen' (Xbox, PS2) is now 'last-gen'. Which pretty well explains things.
