IF you look closely when they show the mets turning a double play look at the pitcher running from 2nd to 3rd...He is wearing a coat on the base path...Nice touch.

It is old, but you did infact point out that guy wearing the jacket, which I DID NOT see the first time. INSANE!! Thanks for pointing that out, and thanks for posting the video, even if it is old.

Omg.. this trailer is great, watch when he hits the ball (the one where his bat breaks) and when he begins to run, pause it. Look at his face, he's watching the ball and he has the concentrated look on his face.

What is the deal with every stadium having the team logo cut in the outfield grass? None of these teams actually have this in real life. (I have seen it in Boston)

Its funny, All Star Baseball always had pitchers wearing jackets while on base, but no one mentions it.

I've thought the same thing too, but I think we're all just so surprised and relieved to see it in a new/ next-gen game. The details like that have been missing for a few years now, and we're excited to see them again!
ASB had a lot of those little touches, for sure.

Peace

Yeah, the 2K game designers should take a look at ASB for several ideas: Expansion Team mode, co-op play, details like jackets, etc. (I suppose innovations like that were at least partially the result of competition in the market from multiple baseball game titles.)

What are you talking about, people did but ASB has been dead for how long????

It doesn't matter that ASB is dead. It's the fact that you people are going wild for features that a PS2 game had 3 years ago. ASB may be dead but the fact is that game had more features than this game does. I find it sad really.

It really is a wonder why ASB failed because that series had everything we want in a game. Arbitration, Rule 5 draft, c.a.p. during a season/franchise. Other than the crappy game play and mediocre announcers....that game awesome

I thought the announcers were pretty good. The only thing I disliked about it was how the players just SHOT off when you moved them a little bit. The movements, batting, sounds.. etc everything was great. I have it on xbox, and I was playing a game and listened to the bat hitting the ball, that is the most realistic I've ever heard.

Yeah I remember ASB 03...It was the first ASB for the X-Box and it was awesome...

I made an exp. team (The Orlando Owls) I even loved how each Exp. team got there own mascot.

You know looking back now, the animations were pretty damn good for it's time and the sounds were amazing.

Come to think of it why the hell is ASB dead...

I kinda of felt that MLB: The Show was it's true successor.

ASB is dead because they didn't sell well. People didn't appreciate the game for what it was. The whole company is dead. Some of the boys who helped make ASB should come to 2k and show them how to make a great baseball game.

Does anybody know what the "intensity" number in the bottom left hand corner of the gameplay videos is. Its interesting because it seems to ajust after most plays but i havn't heard a thing about what it does or how it affects the game.
