"The controversial sprinting mechanic, which could give some players a superhuman burst of speed as long as you had quick fingers, does make a return in 2K7, although it has been redesigned. Now, the burst has been downgraded to a more realistic and manageable level"

I really hope they've fixed the other huge problem this button caused. If you had more than one player on the basepaths then the person you weren't controlling would walk around the bases (since you weren't controlling him with the spring button) without sliding and would end up getting thrown out. That was probably the bug that bothered me most. They better have resolved this issue.

I've heard 2 different stories about this. I've heard that its gone, and that its back but revised. If they do have it back, I hope that it is a press and hold sprint. I dont know how my 360 controller button is going to hold up after a full summer of pounding the A button continuoulsly. And its $50 for a new one.:( Thats almost enough for a new game.

First of all Jrey07, awesome name. I just dicaplined myself to use the sprint button when stealing bases, and when going from second to home on a hit.

It'd be more realistic if it were removed from the game. Because, technically, all baserunners are running as hard and fast as they can...

Well just think about all of the times that a batter grounds one to second and just doggs it over to first. Happens all of the time. I don't know how to accurately represent that in a videogame but my best guess would be some kind of "hustle" rating to see day in and day out how much effrot the player would give in thise kind of situations.

That's a good idea, set it to your players rating and say his development and confidence or whatever. Missed catches, slow runs, bad hits, or none at all can all bring it down. The more it goes down the worse he gets. Until that rebound game comes along, they all have one at some point.
