On a scale 1-10, what is you're excitement level for this year...

Just curious what everyone is truly thinking about this years endeavor. From the looks of things on the forms I'd say most seems pleased.

So tell us all what you're really thinking.

For me(and I'm sure for most) obviously the graphics look amazing, I mean some of the best I've seen in a sports game or any game for that matter but as we all know graphics aren't everything. Soooo one thing that really troubles me about this year... is the fielding still...We just haven't seen enough of it and there not showing much of anything(which tells me there hiding something). Last year, that's what killed it for me was the horrible fielding. I got past the bland graphics but it was the bugs and all the fielding that sent me packing for The Show.
I understand that there is only so much you can do in less then a year for a game...I just hope they truly cleaned up the bugs and the fielding to make this last longer then a couple weeks of WOW factor.

Even with not knowing the fielding yet, I still give it a solid...

The gameplay last year was just soo off and if they really fix it like they say they did for this year my rating will be higher.

8 if that's omitted, but they've put back control of all teams in franchise mode.
7 if all that's omitted, but they've fixed the gameplay.

I give it a 9, But all of us seem to relize that it was the first time it was on the 360, I got it last for xbox and did not have an issue. If anyone played Madded 06 that was a horrible game. But Madden 07 was 100 times better. I think they improved on it. I did rent 2k6 for 360 and it was nothing compared to the xbox version, I think it will better and we all will be happy.

I'd say this is about a 6 or 7 for me. I was too excited for last years game and it completely disappointed me. Right now I'm interested in this years game but I won't get my hopes up until I see the final results...

But, the graphics look sweet as hell...:)

right now on a scale of excitement,for me its a 3,i guess im just not into the whole baseball gaming thing any more,but hopefully this game will bring back the love i once had for baseball games,oh wait i said that about last year's game to i think.

The Mlb 2k series are my favorite video games.I was ranked in the top 10 a couple times and cant wait until i do so in MLB 2k7. The thing I am most hoping for that differs from 2k6is the chessy glitches that ruined the game.If you were a 2k6 fan you know about the running into the walls, the auto-round, the outfielders dancing around the ball and thats just a few. I can't wait till March 5th i'm looking foward to it.

well I still can't help but get pump with what I've seen, but know matter how good or bad this years game plays...Next year should be amazing...Giving Brinkman a full year to really take a hold of this series a making it his own...Well I hope anyways.

At least as far as the forums go. From about now, until May, there are hundreds of guests and tons of new members joining and getting hyped over the game. Asking the same questions, over and over. It's alright, I was there once.

However, I'm surprised that no one has asked if Bonds will be in the game yet... :eek:

Obviously havent played it, but mlb 2k mlb has been a complete joke. Last year it hardly changed and also they still don't know how to fix the double switch feature. Stay away from this crap, I'm buying mlb 07 the show, that game last year was far more enjoyable!!!!!

The fielding does look like they haven't done a lot of work on it. But they did say months ago they'd be focusing this year on pitching animations, and that other things would have to wait until 08.

i really dont think you can judge it there has been a total of 2 ground balls and one of them was a decent animation in the giants vs A's video so unless your talkin about all overall fielding you cant judge it

I'm talking about the outfield play. The running and fielding animations do not look good. Check out the vid with Coco running into the wall and bouncing off it.

since ive seen the screen shots ive already made up my mind to go buy the freaking 360 and spend 400 bucks on it only because this game looks so good. so my scale is easily an 11 i guess since its moved up

I'll give it a ten but only because its been a long offseason for me ready to get back to all the highlights and watching barry try for aarons record but I am as let down as last year after all the publicising I'll give up on 2k for my baseball games and just stick with the show the only reason i preordered this year is because its only 19.99 for the playstation 2
and i really hope that they fixed it so when after u swing your batter is watching the ball and doing a 180 and looking into the dugout But I definetly give it a 10



BY the way mlb 2k5 world series edition is the best baseball ever made by 2k sports so far hoping this year changes my mind though

I would image that if there is a freezing issue in this years game, then that would be it for 2k and there MLB strong hold...No way Major League Baseball would let 2k get away with the same issues time and time again...Not when they know EA could make an outstanding game.

From what I've read Major League Baseball was none to please with last years game.
