This is one thing that would be really easy to implement and also be a cool feature of the game. On most create-a-player options, you are able to choose what genre of music the player walks up to. It would be cool to choose the same for a closer and have them come running in from center field. Like enter sandman for Mariano or ACDC for Hoffman.

That's a good idea. It would be pretty cool to see that.

Yea that would be cool but my only problem is that it doesnt let me copy my own music from my ipod or a burned cd onto my xbox. It lets me play the music when im just sitting around but when i try to upload the songs it always says i cant. Its really a shame because id love to play and have most of the guys walk up to their authentic music.

Does anyone know how to import songs from an ipod and save them onto the xbox 360 hard drive? Note that it only lets me play songs i got from lime wire so Protected ACC files dont even show up.
If somebody could figure this out for me i would be very greatful.

It doesn't even have to be an official song. Just give a few different genre and effect options. For example, I create or edit a closer. Have section called closer intro or something. Have the options of hip hop or metal, and for each one give four or five different little snipits. All you need is really 20 seconds, so you could choose hip hop1, hip hop 2, or metal 1 and metal 2.

Then if you wanted to get even craftier as dbacks pointed out with hoffman, give an effects option where you can also add bells or have a siren go off, even add fireworks. Seems like such an easy option to integrate, yet no game has done it. The closer role and their intros in real life have become a distinct part of baseball. It gives you that adrenaline shot when your watching the game, being a braves fan and going to about 20games a year, I remember when Smoltz was the closer. He would come out to hells bells and with a one run lead going to the ninth, I would get so into it because his intro pumped me up.

Exactly! What most of these games have always been missing is that thing like crowd noise or music that will give a player a big adreneline rush. I hope if the gameplay is fixed this year they try to bring the game and the crowd to life in 2k8

You dont need to upload them from the Ipod to the 360 HDD u can just play them straight from the Ipod....go to the music section on the dashboard and your ipod should be listed under your HDD when you try and play a song it will ask for an update to play ACC files. After the update u can play the songs straight from your Ipod. If you have a playlist saved on your Ipod you can also play by playlist. So you can make your own MLB 2K7 playlist and play the songs from there.

The only problem is that im pretty sure if the ipod is just plugged in the songs on it don't come up as an opition for the player's personalized batting song.

The bells that ring when hoffman comes out are from hells bells by ACDC

If they used the songs like Enter Sandman, they would have to buy the license to that song, and its wayy to much of a hassle for money and time on something that basically goes unnoticed anyhow.

Yeah youre right about how it would be a huge hassle, but i promise you that it wouldn't go unnoticed.

It also wouldn’t only have to be for closers, when Matt Cain comes into pitch “Twist of Cain” should play.

Noo.... i mean the fact that there is no music for closer intros basically goes unnoticed. If there was music, it would be noitced, bu I mean the fact its NOT in there.

Maybe they'll let you import your own songs into the game. I remember they did that a few times for xbox. You import songs and put in were the game will play them. A few were after hitting a homerun, when somebodys up to bat, and in this case hopefully when the closer comes in.I think that was back in 2k5.I hope they bring it back.

Yea but the only way that i know how to do that is by putting in an audio cd that you bought from a store. As far as i know you can't SAVE songs on your 360 Hard drive from a burned cd or an Ipod.

Like I said before, you don't need fully licensed music or your own music. Just be able to pick like a heavy metal, hip hop, or rock intro. It's very easy for them to write a riff or sample that you could include in the game.
