before we move into 2k7 which will hopefully be better then 2k6 I want you all to post your franchises results from 2k6, heres mine.
D-backs- 1 season- 95-67- wild card winners- lost NLCS 4-2
Summary- The Los angeles Dodgers went 101-61 and beat Arizona for the N.L. west title and would go on to beat them in the NLCS 4 games to 2 games. D-backs signed Rodger Clemens to a one year deal in late july after releasing struggling Green after only hitting .231 with 13 home runs. It would be a good trade after Clemens went 7-1 with a 2.87 era but it would not prove to be a championship trade.
Angles- 1 season- 103-59- A.L. west champions- lost WS 4-3
I now know how the 2001 seattle mariners feel. No but seriously I felt sick and hopless after I went to game 7 against the Cardinals. See the way I play is I only play 3 games of the 7 game series so I played the first three and won them all so my own strict rules that I follow had me simulating the rest of it. Well I thught that it would be done after my first sim but nope. The Cardinals would make this bull **** come back that I still have not gotten over!!! Colon was 26-3 with a 1.98 era.
Bluejays- 1 season- 71-91- A.L. east 4th place- No playoff apperance
Nothing I mean NOTHING went right for the bluejays and me. I felt like I ran this organization to the ground and also the jays barley missed last place by one game (Baltimore went 70-92). The injuries were key to the downfall of this club with Wells, Lilly, Halladay and Hillenbrand all going down for either 60 days or season ending injuries (Only Lilly went on the 60 day D.L. the rest season ending). Also a horrible season for Glaus as he hit .212 with 24 home runs and 61 R.B.I.s his OBP was a miserable .229 no one would trade for him.
Phillies- 1 season- 90-72- N.L. east champions- WS champions 4-1
I just finished this franchise a few weeks ago and all I have to say is finally!!! After 3 other seasons went down the drain I would finally win it all with the Phillies after what I was begining to think was some awfully bad luck on my behalf but finally I came out on top with the fightin phills as I destroyed the red sox 4 games to one and outscored them 24-9 in the series. The pitching was mediocre and the bullpen was below average but the offense proved to be the phills road to victory as Howard and Abreu were unstoppable. Howard hit 39 homers and had a .355 BA while Abreu hit 46 homers with a .363 BA. Rollins hit .387 and had 68 SB on the year and was the N.L. MVP. Whats funny is I almost completley missed the playoffs altoghether I was 3 games down with 5 games to go and just barley edged the Nats for the division title.
All seasons were played by me playing one game in each series and simming the rest of the games in the series. Playoffs were played by me playing 2 out of 5 games in the divisional series and 3 out of 7 in the LCS and WS.
