I have been playing MM 2007 for a couple weeks and it is not a bad game.

Iam a 2k guy and have been since NBA2k on dreamcast. I decided to give MM a try because in my opinion the gameplay in college hoop and 2k7 are to similiar and I wanted a change.

The biggest plus to me in MM is that the plays they run by far are better than anyother bball game. College basketball is a game of constant player and ball movement. How they run plays on the game is beautiful. On the other hand I think College Hoops is to stagnant there is not a lot of player movement at all. The edge goes to MM.

Actual player movement(fluidit) hands down goes to college hoops , the guys move so graceful in CH that it is not comparable. There is also still some funky ball physics in MM.
The edge is to CH easily.

Iam not a dynasty guy so Iam just talking about more gameplay here. I will do a season but dont get into the dynasty mode at all so I have no clue how that plays out.

The biggest downside of MM is the players rankings Iam not sure if they even researched them. But u have a ton of players whos ratings are horrible, I mean u have guys who have been 40-45% 3 point shooters with rankings in the 50's for threes. College hoops rosters and rankings are alot better.

Graphics , I like both games graphics. But I give the edge to MM .

I could care less who makes a game I just like a good game and in my mind both of these are. U might have to spend sometime fixing the rosters on MM but the game is still good.

I would give MM a 7.5 and College hoops a 8.5. If College hoops could get there plays down like MM it would easily make it a 9.0 or better in my book.

I agree on the plays.
I wish 2k7 would steal a page from MM and allow you to click the R analog and allow you to see what the play is supposed to be.
For those that don't know. You can call a play and it will put arrows and whatnot on where the PG is supposed to dribble to "activate" the play or who the pass should go to to start the play. It really makes it nice as you can try out some new offenses and not be lost on what it is supposed to look like.

In 2k7 you call plays you know and in ones you don't you just hope to eventually find an open man.

my two cents.

I give the slight edge to College Hoops 2k7, its a better basketball simulation, the game runs smoother, the gameplay is better and the graphics are a hell of a lot better. The recruiting in Legacyn mode is much more deeper, you are allowed to do more things to contact the player. MM 2007 is more for fans who prefer a more arcade style basketball game. MM 2007 can too easily turn into a dunk contest, guys would be flying from a little inside the free throw line to dunk over half the other team! the one thing i do prefer about MM 2007 is the lockdown stick which allows you to play better defense, in CH 2K7 the defense is a little more lackluster, once in awhile the defense just isnt there for me and my opponent goes on a 10-0 in like 50 seconds. other than that tho i give the edge to college hoops, and i own both games so i'm not being biased here. i give CH 2K7 a 9 out of 10, and MM 2007 a 7.5 out of 10.

The one thing that has kept me from even considering buying MM07 is the fact that you can have your player dance with a cheerleader or mascot. I just don't see how that would be fun at all. And its really that one thing right there that kept me from even considering that game.

I might rent MM07 one day but for now I'm totally happy with CH2k7.

college hoops needs the lockdown stick that is the best thing yet actually allowing u to play true defense...and the playcalling in mm is awesome with all the movement and the traps and such ch 2k8 needs some features like this...
