Do you think we'll get Dan and Peter back?

In keeping with the theme of how generic can work you think Dan and Peter will return as announcers? Or will they try to get some real people to do it? I'm thinking they have to stick with DnP seeing how long they've been on the payroll even after 2k5 was done with but weren't doing anything.

I definately think they'll be back. When you look at Greg Thomas's interview at Gamespot, he mentions that this game is all about the fans of NFL 2K Football.

I'm sure he knows that those fans loved Dan and Peter.

They weren't on NBA 2K6 unless you're talking about those training videos they do for the controls. That's pretty much all they have been doing since NFL 2K5 is those training vids. I couldn't believe that 2K would keep them around just to do that. I had to believe they were up to something else and , "hey while you're here in the office you guys want to get these training vids in for us?".

It would be nice having them back. Some people said that commentary was one of the weak points in 2k5, but I enjoyed it. They did more than just play by play. They had jokes, and actually talked to one another.

They are VOICE ACTORS, of course they'd be happy to do another 2K football game! Those familiar voices are a part of what makes the 2K football games so good, IMHO.

I expect they'll have another guy to do pregame, halftime, and postgame commentary too, as Berman was used in 2K5. I've got no problem with them creating another fictional announcer.

I don't mind Dan and Peter, my only gripe is that they sound too bubbly. They need to sound more serious. I've been saying this for years now.

Also, and I don't mean to be too harsh, but they would benefit from studying football a lot more. I say this because in prior years they've botched some names that any casual football fan would know, like Troy Polamalu. I remember back in the 2K1 game for Dreamcast, they mispronounced Marc Bulger's name.

Good point. However, keep in mind that the TV announcers are saying these on a one-shot deal, live on the air. Dan and Peter have the chance to do many takes to get it right.

Some names can only be butchered if you're not really into football. Like, if you screw up Marc Bulger's name, it's proof that you're not watching football much if at all.

One good thing about the commentary in 2k sports games, its never repetitive like madden.

I don't know why anyone wouldn't like Dan and Peter, either. They are, by far, the best commentating team of any football vidoe game ever.

However, I like the radio guy on Madden much much more than Madden himself.

Hey, their bubbly attitude makes me happy. In 2K5, there's an unlockable soundtrack of outakes where the guy who does Peter can't pronounce some of the names. It's actually quite funny. You'll hear his struggle on one name for about a minute or two lol.

I think having Dan & Peter back is essential. It wouldn't feel right without them and i hope 2k atleast get them back for the return of the 2k franchise after it's 3 year hiatus. It'd be such a classy move.
