barry this barry that i have grown tired of hearing about barry bonds you know if he was hitting these home-runs without having gained nearly sixty pounds of muscle since the late 90's you know it's not that i dont not like barry beacause honestly i think he is a terrific player, but i can't say that i will cheer him on as he continues to hit home-runs as long as he illegally used steroids assuming he did but it's only a matter of time until it all comes out that he did.

That is the third longest sentence I have ever seen.
Punctuation is your friend.

bonds is bnds with or without steriods i still think he would be doing what hes doing now anyways im not to sure if he will stick around long enough to break the record but i think he has a damn good shot at it if he decides to stay and not retire after the season.

The whole steroid thing bothers me just as much as anyone else! But I was thinking that if the pitchers are juicing, dosen't that even things out?If no one was juicing then maybe we'd still have the same numbers! I'm rationalising, I know, but I need some sort of theory to tell me everything's O.K!

Bonds would not be Bonds without steroids.
He'd be like Soriano, a 35-35 guy, not a 60-10 guy. Bonds would've been better off NOT taking the Breakfast of Champions.
Freddy Foxxx, name one pitcher who is definitly on steroids.

I can't name one for sure, but if you were a pitcher and you knew the guys you were facing were juiced what would you do? Eat more spinach? I don't think so! Like I said I'm rationalising here, so gimme a break! I'm positive the pitchers are juicing, I just don't know who! Anyways, I just heard that they made the balls harder wich is the reason for the long ball era! So that throws all my rationilising out the window! For me , it's all about comparing todays players to yesterday's. That's why I rationalise or better yet lie to myself!

I would (as I hear a car accident outside) pitch them high and inside (in the strikezone,) if that doesn't work, I'd throw it at their heads (the ole Pedro escape.) If that doesn't work either, I'd eat more spinach.
Then if I get bombed my next start, I'll leave the park early, ignore the media, and say I got an injury (or is THAT the Pedro escape?)

I agree, I loved him until...
I was watching a game last year, he literally almost threw his bat out and jut flicked the bat, and i was like wtf this proves this guy is messed up.
No doubt he would still be a good hitter, cause I mean you gotta have the swing, but I agree his homers are fake!

Nothing, as long as there's proof that he's cheating.

Don't forget, steroids also decrease reaction time. So that 90 MPH fastball looks like it's on a tee, and Zito's 12-6 looks flat.

I really didnt mean that bonds isnt a good player because he is. All i was saying was simply that until the guy proves to me that he is clean i cant believe that he didnt cheat to gain sixty pounds of muscle since the year 2000.All credit must be given to bonds though the guy can hit he just wouldnt be hittinbg home-runs like this as a near forty year-old unless he did something to get an edge.

We got it the first time....
Muff, there's no proof, but it's gotten to the point where we don't really need any. Sure, around 30 people gain some weight...about 10-15 pounds, not 100!

Its a tuff call because he has shown no symptoms of roids. He has managed to stay healthy which is why he has a shot at the homerun record. I don't like that homeruns are so common now days, but roids or no roids players are bigger and there is more money for power hitters. If Bonds does pass Ruth, it will not be another 34 years for it to happen again. I really don't think he is setting a record but pioneering a new generation of baseball. The way things are going now, Hank could be number 5 on the list in next 15 to 20 years. Arod could pass Bonds in the next 7 to 8 years at his current pace. Bats are getting lighter, players are getting stronger, pitching is lost art, and owners like to fill seats. I don't expect this homerun surge to go away any time soon. So keep going Balco, oh excuse me Barry, enjoy being on top, you won't be there long.
