Thank you 2K Sports. I held out, never bought the competition whom after they bought the license, didn't do a damn thing worthwhile with it. Know that there are many supporters and backers that have been faithful and there are many who have kept the best Football game alive and updated by many means necessary. I own every (VC/2K) Basketball and Football since Dreamcast and I can't wait for APF 2K8. Like the saying goes. "The cream will always rise to the top" To you 2K, I say Thank You, Monkboon....

Thank you 2K sports for always keeping it real. Instead of adding fluff to your games (I'll give you a pass on the crib :)) to bring in the masses, you continued to try and represent each sport by making it as true to life (sim if you will) as possibly. You didn't always get it right but I never felt like any 2K sports game was a mere roster update for another $50. Keep taking chances and reinventing your games because that is was makes your development team so great!
We will take the good (NFL 2K5, NBA 2K7) with the bad (MLB 2K6, NHL 2K7) and continue to support the greatest sports video game development team in the business.

Agreed. And thank you Midway for not folding and for making Blitz: The League and showing 2K that a non-licenced game can sell... because without Blitz's success 2k would never have taken a chance on another football game.

When the news spreed that the NFL had given the license to EA, I thought it was a new opened door. At first, I thought 2kSports had given up, but now that seems not to be the case.
I am coming back to the forums because of this. For the past few years, I have bought a lot of EA products after swearing them off. Now, I feel my loyalty for 2k coming back. While I'm here, I may not agree with everything in APF2k8, but I will respect the decision to come back to the best games 2k ever made, on the gridiron.
Thank you to every member of the 2kSports staff,

After reading that 2K Sports is going to make All-Pro Football 2K8, I was jumping for joy. So they may not be able to use actual NFL teams or current players, they could create their own teams and use ramdom names and stats. I am looking forward to getting APF 2K8. I hope that 2K Sports will take any suggestions from gamers. Thanks again.

Greg Thomas and the whole VC and 2K team. Thank you very much. You all helped me get unhooked off videogames in general. It helped me get a lot of school work done. Question is boxing next? Love everything you guys do. Holla!!!
I second that 100%. Please 2K, I beg of you, make a Boxing game worthy of being titled "Boxing". Victorious Boxers 1 & 2 needs some competition in the states because Fight Night refuses to provide any. Also, I would give anything if you guys would make a generic Wrestling game. THQ/Yukes are destroying American Wrestling games with the crap *** Smackdown games they make. It's sad that the best overall American Wrestling game in on the N-64. The DOR series was headed in the right direction but we all know what happened to that series. If we Americans want to play great sim Wrestling games, we have to import and mod our systems. See:Fire Pro R/KOC II/ASPW3. I, along with many, many others would support a generic Wrestling or Boxing game just as we have supported all 2K Sports games over the years, through the good and bad, Monk....

I've been a fan of the NFL 2k series since NFL 2k first appeared on the Dreamcast. Now, 2 and a half years after NFL 2k5 came out, I have yet to give in and buy a copy of that horrid game called Madden.
So, after a looong day of work, I can't describe the joy I felt when I visited the 2k Sports website and saw that All Pro Football 2k8 is coming out this Summer. Thank you 2k Sports...I am confident this game will totally kick ***.

I don't think pre-orders are available anywhere yet, as far as I know.
I used to work for Gamestop and I still have good friends there. As soon as that game is listed a buddy of mine will reserve two copies for me. Gamestop is usually pretty good about getting new games on the reserve list fairly quickly so I'd be surprised if it wasn't available for pre-order by the weekend. The game companies use pre-orders to gauge how well a game will sell so they like it up early.
So, technically, I don't have them reserved, but it's as good as done.

Thanks... but man oh my i was so excited yesterday when i read the article in gamespot i even pumped my fist and was luaghing like evily type of like yes 2k is back.
Anyway its good t osee they were reading our posts all along and the numerous petitions we did....i did a petition like 6 months ago on a different username i forgot the pass to email...and that petition had a couple of signs and i worked so hard trying to compare the madden 360 pics and the 2k5 xbox pics lol i wasted 3 days doing it and scratching my mind on what to put in the text well even though i think i had like 30 signs LoL..it wasnt for no cause these goes to all the other dudes that tried their hardest to make a petition work and well it kind of payed off cause we got our 2k football back !!
Anyway im excited and ive been behind 2k sport serieses all the way since the first 2k for dreamcast..and i did buy madden this year as i couldnt take being without football 2 years but madden is ok and horrible at same time....2k is way to realistic for madden and the thing i most enjoyed is the online leagues loved them with a passion.

Thank you 2K Sports!!!! I'm an older gamer, I just turned 47 on the 30th, I've been playing video game football since the days of the Sega Master system and I've been playing the 2k football games since the Sega Dreamcast. I admit I was sucked in and bought Madden 07 for the 360 this year, and after I played it for a while I realized how foolish I was for doing so. Madden 07 isn't even up to par with NFL 2k5. EA has bought up the rights to the NFL and ESPN and done nothing with them. EA continues to put out the same trash year after year, so again Thank You 2k, Thank you for once again giving us a choice, and the best damn football game on the planet!

I have been trying to play those horrible madden games with they're lack of control and tackling animations and running game. I was really upset when they let EAawful get the license but in the end it just proves that EA is not givimg gamers what they want. They just have a large brainwashed impressionable fan base. Thanks 2k...you guys are the best. With my 360 in regular rotation (and my XBOX controllers have broken) I've moved on, but with APF 2k8 coming....I've started a new season.
The funny part about that is I remember the days when I used to buy both games. I would always tell a buddy of mine that:
When ever I play Madden I would replay because something would **** me off because it wasn't right or I was figuring out....how the hell did this happen.
With 2k5 it was replays of enjoyment. I would even save replays that the computer made.
Thank You Guys a million.

Back in the 90s, I played high school football, and I got hooked on the computer game Front Page Sports: Football Pro from Sierra. It was an excellent football simulation.
When that series ended in the late 90s, I turned to Madden for my football gaming. It always kind of left me with a hollow feeling.
Then I picked up NFL 2k5. I was blown away. The on-the-fly defensive controls, the quick positioning of defensive players, the 10,000 plays to make a playbook with, the AMAZING ball carrier controls... what a great game.
I've since bought an Xbox 360 and Madden 2007, and I re-sold Madden after playing it for about a week straight. It's just not football. I've kept my old Xbox just for the one game I play on it still, NFL 2K5.
I'm damn excited to hear about APF 2K8, and I can't wait to play it!

I would like to thank them because I lost my will to play videogames after what EA did. I've been gaming for over 30+ years. With 2K football out of the picture and the price of videogames hitting $60 and $70 bucks w/ the Xbox 360. Now with a new 2K football coming out I don't feel as down about the videogame market as I started to get. I feel EA and Sony although they're making money hand over fist that they're doing more harm to the videogame market than good with their deep pockets. You wanna do good by making good games not by over advertising and over hyping pieces of you know what.

I'm an Italian guy who discovered 2k sports games on the dreamcast and from that day I didn't play any other ea sports game, nfl 2k5 on xbox is one of the best sports game ever made (I played videogames since mid '80's (on mattel intellivision (yes I'm an old guy))), I was so happy when I read about pro football 2k8, i hope it will be great as 2k5, I see on eurogamer.com that the game will be available also in europe (so I don't need to modify my new xbox 360 as I do with my dreamcast).
Sorry for my bad english
Thank you 2k sports from Italy

Everyone is happy about a new football game, but 2k sports should give a little credit to those loyal people who kept their franchise alive. How about a round of applause for Finn and his editor and the many roster editors who kept this game fresh and alive for all these many seasons while 2k was figuring out what to do. Without those guys, I believe there would not be the multitude of loyal fans to this football franchise. Thank you guys for the hard work and thank you 2k for getting off the sidelines! Let's see what you got!
