They will take a look at the way things are going and say well lets let them both make an nfl game and we make twice the MONEY. To them its good business. So its going to put all the pressure on EA to make a better game.:o

EA doesn't hear you, or anyone else.
We ask for smarter A.I.
We get QB Vision.
We ask for better presentation.
We get their so called Lead Blocker mode.
Lead blocker mode shouldn't even frickin' be necessary if their A.I. weren't flawed.
Hang on, let me check something right quick... BRB.
OK, yeah. The most active forum on the EA sports website is, you guessed it, the Madden forums. I'll click on the Madden 08 "wishlist" forum, hang on. BRB.
Oh, guess what folks, it's not even there anymore!
This comes as no shock to us, because we know EA ignores its consumers.
It was there, and it was about 200 pages worth. That's a mountain of input and opinion, my friend.
This happens every year. We get nothing in return.
But don't fault the NFL so much. They actually put out the word that they (after having years and years of the game companies offering to buy them out, Take Two included, BTW) were looking to accept offers for an exclusivity deal.
EA stepped up with an estimated three hundred million dollars.
Could you refuse that?
Make no mistake, the NFL is a business like any other.
The goal of any business is to make money.
God bless America.

Good catch, shad... and thanks for your help.
I beg your pardon everyone.
It's simply not as prominently displayed as before, or maybe I didn't dig deep enough.
My point is only amplified by the fact that I can now tell you that the "Madden Wishlist" boards are now filled with exactly two hundred and thirty pages of wishes that will be ignored.
My apologies.....

LOL These will also be ignored by the thousands of blind mice called **Madden Fans** every year who complain and then claim Madden is God.

I still hate the NFL for what they have done but I guess they figured that they weren't doing anything wrong since Madden was the highest selling of the football games out. Even though its over 6 or 7 platforms. So the NFL killed two birds with one stone. Have only one licensed football game and get a ton of money for it. They of all people should know if you hype something good enough that a lot of people will be curious enough to try it. EA had to out bid everybody because they knew Madden was all they had. NBA Live isn't the best NBA game. Its the same for College B-Ball, Hockey and it used to be for Baseball until they tightened that up. Links is better than the Tiger Woods series. EA would be in trouble if VC started making soccer and boxing. The Nascar game ain't even mentioned as being all that either. Its not even in the top 10 of racing games.
So you see the NFL has to deal with only one company instead of a handful of them and getting paid hand over fist for it. EA keeps their game on top because its the only NFL game around getting all the sheep to buy their other sports games even though the other brands are rated higher.
