i was thinkn and since all pro football doesnt need to follow what happens in the nfl do u think it would be necessary to make an all pro football 2k9 and 2k10(i think ea's deal would be done by then) i mean they wont have to update rosters or team ratings i mean unless they are going to add alot to the game i dont think they need to make a football game next year considering tha teams will probably be exactly the same. the only things i could think of that would make them want to make a game next year is to compete with ea(obviously), add new legends, and features(obviously). if they do make a game next year they should make a way to import your data from this years game soo that you can play with the teams the way u already have them instead of having to start all over from scratch..with an nfl game ur not actually startin from scratch when a new game is released because the teams have been updated

I'm thinking that this will be the only game until 2K10, at least. If they decide to pursue re-acquiring the NFL lisence, they'll start making NFL 2K games again starting with NFL 2K11, otherwise I see them releasing an APF2K game every other year.

Did you know that you answered your own question in your post?
And how do you get your point across without using periods and stuff?
Damn, you've got skill....
Seriously, Scotty, you make good points but your posts are hard as hell to read...
On the other hand, KRSOne: perfect grammar, my friend. A pleasure to read, always...

in all actuality, perfect grammar would include a period after 2k11. otherwise, it is technically a run-on sentence. back to school......
it is my feeling that the deciding factor for future releases will be sales. if apf2k sells enough and makes an impact, expect an update every year until they get the license back.

I think we will see new versions each year.
After all .......... 2K doesnt slap a roster update on and call it a new version like EA does ........... they actually make improvements to the game!

actually it will be 2k12 if im correct because dont they have the NFL rights till 2011, and the game is always released a year ahead. ex. 2k8 releases in 2007.

I thought about this also. Being that this will be the first year without the NFL, I think we will see 2K9 to make some improvements for glitches and features that couldn't be completed in time. We have to remember, they haven't been working on this game for 2.5 years.
Expect 2K8 to have some issues and let's hope that they fix them with 2K9. After that, I think every other year will be fine.
Everything will depend on sales of course. Money makes the world go round.

Like I said in a thread that I made, maybe they'll want to progress them from year to year, and add a rookie class as if it were a real league.. that would be the best move for them..

well maybe someone can answer this question for me, how much would they beable to change with a patch? i have seen patches do different things for different games, but i never knew exactly how much the could do to a game with patches. i guess my point is would they beable to avoid releasing another game but just making a patch every couple months?

no... that would just slightly upgrade the game and then they would have to work on those rather than the next game.. just make a game every year witha rookie class and retiring players etc.. like it was a real league

Actually, a comma after NFL 2K11 is perfectly acceptable. Ending a sentence with a number irks me, and I avoid it whenever possible.
Good try though

Because EA locked that down for awhile, too.

Along with the NFL License EA also bought out the NCCA license...

I beg to differ. I bet those wiz kids have had this games Engine Core ready to go from 2 years ago. In fact now they can add even more features to dominate Madden/EA.
1. Bring back wave blitz & QB quiting the crowd down from the Dreamcast days.
2. End all drop glitches. If you quit, drop, or pull plug it's a loss. PERIOD.
3. ONLINE DOMINATION.
4.How about player blogs for each gamer. So if you are a cheater people can add to your blog. Kind of like DRICUS.COM used to be for the dreamcast users.

Also add a keyboard for the above feature.

Sorry but your wrong, the game has been in development since 2k5 was released but nothing was said until now about (this was mentioned in the interveiw by the 2k sports president if not mistaken).

According to the rules of the English language. ;)
Maybe you don't care one way or the other, but I personally think proper English is very important.
