Network Glitches are ruining my chances

Please if an admin knows what's going on here please help me out.

This is 3 times now that I was up in a game and was signed out of xbox live for no apparent reason and given a DQ, and a severe drop in rank, I've dropped at least 200 or so spots now due to this most recent disconnect.

Normally when the internet messes up and it's on my part, I check my modem and the connection has been dropped from there. That hasn't happened this entire month though, I check my modem and I'm still live yet being dropped from games anyhow. When it's my modem that messes up the black screen and countdown will come up. Now, however it just tells me something along the lines of "the active gamer profile has been signed out of xbox live" and kicks me back to the main screen.

Why is this if my connection is perfectly fine when it signs me out?

I hate to get on here and moan, but I've been wanting to play in these 2k tournies for the past couple years now yet haven't been able to until this year, now I'm being penalized for nothing that's the fault of my network connection and it's very frustrating.

Fan--First off, are you still having this problem? Have you been able to get in any online games since this post?

Next, I talked to the lead of our online team for you. Here is his response and a question for you:

"I've heard of something like this maybe a couple times before, but we do not have a conclusive reason for why it happens. The only time that message is displayed is when Xbox Live tells us the users who are signed into that 360 have changed or if they were signed out of Live by the system software. Something to ask him is whether he sees the dark grey "Disconnected from Xbox Live" at the bottom of the screen when this happens."

So if you could answer that question for us, we could dig a little deeper.

I haven't had the time to try again just yet, but I will later tonight. Though the previous two times that this happened earlier this month, yes I was able to complete some games after the occurence. Yes, I'm also almost certain that the "disconnected from xbl" icon does flash at the bottom of my screen when this happens. I know when I click the middle button on the joystick to bring up my profile I'm still signed into the same profile but disconnected from XBL, and again my modem would be perfectly stable.

So, there's no rhyme or reason as to how or why this happens?

Admin, I've had this problem also the last week. In two games I was winning one against princeGQ and one aganist garyland both of which I won at the conclusion of the game the connection goes out and I recieve a drop and loss in pontiac points and I clearly won both games. It didn't come up with the gray box at the bottom saying signed out of Xbox live. All I got was connection lost to opponent and I had to go back the menu an go to xbox live and back to the lobbies when i clicked on XBOX live again it didn't have to re-sign me in because like I said I was never disconn from the service. The win against princeGQ was a key win for me and I didn't even get points for it because of this reason...care to shed some light on this for me?

I have also had this problem 3 or 4 times. I was up by 10 at halftime in all of them and they disconnected at halftime saying the same thing. This has been over the past couple months. I would still be under the same profile and just had to sign back into XBL where i was able to play more games

This has happened to me on one day. But you guys should reset your x-box and reset your router or modem. That may help with most of your games.
