probably go with a powerhouse because you'll likely win it all with any team in the game if you actually play all the games.

It all depends on your interests. Do you just want to win? Or do you want to make a team into a powerhouse?

It just takes time, just like real life you dont become a power instantly. George mason made it all the way to the final four and they didnt have a great recruiting class still.

choose a smaller team in a bigger conference - like Seton Hall, Providence, Northwestern, Baylor

I would go with closed legacy and work your way up. It's way more rewarding and realistic than going in to a school like UNC and being able to recruit all 5 star players.

I agree one-hundred percent!

Started out at the top is boring to me; I like a challenge. Nothing like taking a weak program, adding your magic touch and becoming a factor.

I always use my favorite team in any sports game. Looks like you are a fan of New York teams so I say get St Johns or Syracuse. i see nothing wrong with starting out at the top if your favorite team is the Gators use the Gators. As a Blazer fan I loved the days I got to win 75% of my games with Staudamire, Wells, Pippin, Wallace, and Sabonis.

I used Kentucky (favorite team) and it was difficult besides having some good players. I couldn't land every 5 star and I only ended up with a 5 star and two 3 stars. It was definetly rewarding getting that 5 star guy because there was another school with the same interest and he chose me. Im happy. :)

i just got the game i plan on starting my legacy with either mississippi state (one of my friends is the freshman phenomenon on that team. his name is barry stewart. i think he's number 20.

i will either start one with them or with middle tennessee state university (that is the college that i graduated from)

those are both very low profile schools. and i will have a blast building them up. i just wish i could get some help with these roster names so i can have the real names.
