I downloaded the Ridge Racer demo earlier today , not really worth it. Hopefully we can get the MLB demo tonight/today.

Really? Weird. I tried at 1 PM CST when a friend called me to ask if the demo was out yet. From then on, I've been trying every 5-15 minutes and get a message stating ' a connection to the store could not be found' (paraphrasing) or the 'Playstation Store is down for maintenance' (in English & Japanese) screen. You must have tried at the right time.

No. Major changes like that are done overnight. That's why if you work for a corporation you'll get an occasional email that says "our servers will be down for about 2 hours from midnight to 2am on Saturday night".

Either way, demo or no demo, this seems like an odd time for server maintenance. I thought that typically happened early in the mornings. (or maybe I'm getting it confused with when Resistance does their server maintenance.

I know XBL has a pretty set schedule in terms of adding demos (early morning), but I'm not sure Sony and the PS Store has that yet - but I don't visit the store very often. I'm preparing for the worst (no demo), but hoping for the best (demo).

ya...just as much as you guys i want the demo to be there...but maitenence is usually for fixing and upgrading servers and such...demos usually dont require a shut down of the store...last week same thing happend and no new demos...but we can hope..

Now that you mention it, I think you're right. IIRC, they were put up mid to late afternoon last Thursday.

sony usually puts demos up on thursday afternoons around 4-5 central time...mait takes place usually on mondays in the middle of the day..this has been the trend for past two weeks...with flow, RR7, the week before that was Full auto 2..all on thursday around 4 or 5...i hope we get it today though as well

I hope so. I have a 360 but those clowns at M$ made it so only Gold members can get the demo and I hate online play so don't have it. (See my post in the NBA 2K7 online forum for a fine example of why)

2K should do something about that espically when unlike those that only have a 360,PS3 owners have another option and I personally have no faith in 2K7 after playing 2K6 but still want to give it a chance.

I think Tekken 5: Dark Ressurection was supposed to be put up today so that might be why it's down though I really do hope there's a 2K7 demo.
