To be honest with you after playing the demo many times this game was seriously over-hyped. They took last years game, made it look a little better, still has rocket arms, you can still throw guys out at first from right field. I got thrown out at second from the corner of left field. It feels nothing like the old MVP. Fielding is somewhat choppy, same with turning double plays. Field looks real cartooney. Dirt and Grass look really fake (cept in dirt and grass cams) I mean its playable and better than last year but after reading all of this stuff on how great it was I have to admit the demo was a letdown. I will still buy it because I do not have a choice so I guess thats all they care about.

it's a demo. the demos are never usually that good. From all the POD vids the game looks pretty darn good.

Dirt and grass look fake? what do you want? maybe they should scan real grass and put it in the game, I heard this same complaint in FIFA soccer, the grass looks good IMO.
P.S. People do get thrown at second from the corner, that is nothing new

I really like it. It looks like the demo is an early build of the game. The retail game will likely be much better

Demos never look NEARLY as good as the final build. I really don't know why people go by demos to buy the game from.

The teams are, Cards vs Mets nothing really special it's the Nl championship series and you start from the 7th inning tied at 1-1

Thats fine that you do not like the game, My point was that the demo's gameplay was the same as the real games gameplay.

To be honest, I wouldn't spend that much money on a game I didn't think I was going to like. You do have a choice...no one's forcing you to buy it.

If you don't think it's going to be much better than 2K6, maybe you can wait a little while and try to buy a copy on Ebay for a lot less than $60.

I havent played the demo but I can almost guarantee that the final release will look, sound, and play about the same as the demo. After last year's fiasco Im sure that 2K wouldnt put out what they considered to be a sub-par demo that people would complain about so that they could then release the "improved" version for the official release. Im sure they released the demo this year to try to gain the confidence of those that were disapointed with last year's release. That being said...the demo is the game you will be purchasing. If you dont like the demo, dont expect to be won over by the release because it will look the same. Again, thats just my opinion.

I just noticed on the demo that the players feet go through the bags and not on top of them. little things like that are annoying and need to be fixed. I find it hard to believe that after hours upon hours of testing that nobody noticed that. Also the announcer talked about a play at the plate when no such play occured.

come on this game has got to be an improvement - just looking at the video clips it looks light years ahead

the visuals are improved, and the game is improved, but it is not the complete turnaround you and I were expecting. People are just lying if they say it is. It has lot of the 2k6 gameplay feel to it.

i dont think any of you will ever be happy...just be happy your growing up in the day and age of video games that do look this good....my first baseball game was on atari..and im sure some of you would have complained that first base looked to pixely....or the bat looked just like a players leg..cuz it did.

All I see right now is speculation. Rent the game tomorrow or go to a friends house if need be, but there are so many conspiracy theories that can be made to promote or demote the game. Personally I am impressed that the game got moved up a week. Remember last year when the game got pushed back 3 times and it was still garbage?

After playing the demo with much anticipation I have to say that Im not too disapointed...but not too impressed either.
Without giving a long winded review (play the demo and form your own opinion) I think I may have been looking for a more reinvented type of gameplay from last year's game. I was thinking the worst when I saw the same camera pan of the skyline at night while showing the team comparison screen but was happy to see some improvement with the gameplay. This game has too much of a feel of 2K6 in my opinion.
My first baseball game was on Atari but that doesnt mean that I am going to settle for a game (graphically/gameplay wise) because it is labeled as NEXT GENERATION. I hope to see more improvement in years to come. Although I dont feel that this game takes full advantage of the XBOX 360 (based on the demo), it doesnt seem to be a disapointment either.
I guess I am still looking for the GEARS OF WAR of baseball games...hopefully before the NEXT, NEXT GENERATION systems are produced.

I here ya, some of the things like the strikeout replays and stuff are really cool, wish they coulda made homerun replays different then last year. I don't like hitting the homeruns and you can't even see the ball, you just know it's gone cuz of the thing on the wall, we should at least be able to watch the ball going out etc. Maybe next next year lol

I think the reason why it's getting so much hype is because it is so much better than last years. The batting interface is alot tighter, the players actually resemble their models, and the stadiums are much more detailed. I hope the online mode is up to par.

the game is very good and anybody who hates on it just wants attention....first of all this is a beta version since you can tell that some of the players are not in those teams as of today and the audio still talks like wagner pitched 6 strong innings when he just came in,.,, [anybody who compares last years garbage to this demo is just asking for attention like that fool pengiun......this is the first year for Brinkman on 2k baseball he has a 3 year plan like he did with mvp.... next year this will be a great great game... right now is a solid game which is worth it to me

I wear shorts and t-shirts January. Besides, who actually really cares about that at all, is it making the game stop because it is october and the crazy fan is wearing shorts and shortsleves.

Its a shame that some of you are so spoiled rotten you wouldn't know a good a game from a bad one..I mean complaining about 2k7 and the grass doesnt look real..I wish you would have played RBI or hardball where they couldn't even use real players names (now they have there accessories and signature plate appearance styles), and you were happy the bat resembled a stick..or bulls vs blazers where the signature style would hopefully have a number 23 and a little bull on Jordan's shorts. I play these games today and they are unreal. I mean to even complain that the crowd doesnt wear the right clothes in the winter..MAN..your lucky you have crowds that move..so enough with the complaining and enjoy what you do have or go get a psp and emulate some of the old basketball and basebal games such as RBI baseball and prob the best baseball game up until this one World series baseball for the sega saturn.

everyone always says its just the demo the real game will look and play better but out of all the demos i played i never felt the real version of the game was that much different. iv never felt that a real version of a game was so much better then the demo that it would change my opinion about the game. some of the complaints about the game seem a little nit picky (crowd wearin shorts, players feet go thru bases). they are little thing that could be fixed but they really dont change the actually game. if things like this are being complaind over gameplay then 2k must be doing their job.
the people that are complaining about gameplay and saying its feels like an updated 2k6. then just stick with 2k6 if u feel like 2k7 isnt worth $60 or just try ebay to try to get a cheaper version.

just as an aside IMO the demo of ncaa football 07 did not due the final build justice so it is possible that this demo (which I haven't played) may not totally reflect the final product.

In a real game on TV, how many times have you seen the ball jacked over the wall? the only way we can tell if it's a homer most of the time is by following the outfielder just like on television and the breeds authenticity and I love that!

The only people who hyped this game-up was "US". Kush & Brinkman never HYPED this game to be the gr-8est thing since slice bread. As a matter a fact, they were honest by telling US MLB 2K7 is year-1 of a 3 year plan for this franchise.
From what I played yesterday, this game has made some nice improvements from last year's game, which IMO is exactly what they wanted to achieve.
