so guys I still have my ps2 and I really want to get this game...I hear all these great things about the new gen versions....I want to go buy an XBox 360 and purchase this game...what do you think I should do? Try not to be bias. I can afford to buy the system and the game on my credit card, but I know I shouldnt bceause I just paid off my credit cards and have NO debt. If i were to do this, I can pay it off in about a 3 months no problem. But if I do do this...my fiance gets mad at me because I will have debt again and with the wedding coming up...you older guys know how it is. Now I could do it and she will get mad...but she will get over it. Or do I just suck it up and buy the PS2 version and deal with it until I can afford to buy it without my credit card in a couple of months?

Think of it as an investment. If you ever need a mortgage or car loan, having existing long term revolving debt will make it more likely you land the loan. So long as you pay monthly you will improve your credit rating.

The answer to your question is how grown up are you. Part of getting older and growing up is realizing what's most important to you and well since you have a fiance her as well a video game system isn't worth the headache of fighting and debt you would put yourself in. If you could pay it off in 3 months save the money and use cash because you never know when you will have an emergency and need the credit cards.

put the xbox 360 on your wedding gift registry. She might break up the engagement and wedding plans if you spend the next few months playing your new 360 24/7! :p

Personally, I think the next gen hasn't really kicked in yet. It certainly looks much better this year but I think it's still just a souped-up old gen game. By next year, it will be worth it to pay high price for a truly great next gen game. Just fork over your 30 bucks for the PS2 version and bide your time until next year

Well said lost kiwi. If you want a cheap 360 buy it off ebay. I think the cheapest system new is selling for 179 which is awesome compared to 299.But I agree, dont fork over money if you have a wedding coming.Wait alittle longer.Besides, I hear this years version isnt that great to pay 59.99 for

Honestly I would go get the system because it will be a nice investment for the upcoming years and after I played this game I could never look at another old gen baseball game again, but honestly we can't tell you what to do it's what you want to do all we can do is give you our opinion so I hope you can make the right decision and not make your girlfriend mad. If I were you I would buy a game for her to and say, "Hey I thought of you when I bought this I bought you your own game."

Like someone said, put it on the registry...why get into debt if someone buys it for you? :D
