It would have made sense to have the guy who reviewed 2k6 to review 2k7. Why they had a different person review it is kinda retarded.

Where are the radio spots, promotional nights, stadium maintenance fees or other vital organizational tasks are presented to you when you're worrying about your budget?
Things that should be considered for 2k8...other than that, terrible review by someone who obviously doesn't know much about baseball. He believes that everytime you go for a wall grab it should be brought back into the ball park.

I deff. do not consider a game to be great with a score of an 8.0 what are you talking about maybe that's what IGN considers it to be but not me. IGN's reviewer is clearly a fan of EA or on their payroll or something because there is no way in hell that madden 07 is an 8.5 if this game is a 7.9 total ********..........imo. I mean IGN even delayed the review of NBA LIVE 07 from EA for over a week most likely because they knew it sucked so bad they wanted some impatient chump to buy the game because he couldn't wait for the review......2k sports owns EA they clearly put more time and effort into making sports games. 7.9 Come on that is a suckass review and clearly there are a lot of people that agree with me all over the net because all people have been doing is bashing this ****ty ign review but it's all good the fan reviews show the true results of this game....haha and read this I was reading a guy on a forum saying that yeah the graphics are pretty good on mlb 2k7 but he has been playing mvp 2005 on HD for a couple years so it isn't a very big step up?? Haha wow....PEACE

That review is garbage. In my personal opinion, gamespot is better. IGN gives bad ratings. They gave FIFA 07 a 6.8 and gamespot gave it an 8.3 for 360. And i have to say as a soccer fan that it was a GREAT game. So i don't really trust ign

Did I read the same review as everyone else? Seems to me it wasn't that bad of a review. Sure they listed a couple flaws, but every game has something to complain about. But most of the review was about how great a job 2k did taking 2k6 and really ironing out a ton of issues and making the game play better. The only place I think their review was off was the Graphics. This game looks great and the animations are top notch so the score there could have been higher.

My problem with game review sites, like IGN and Gamespot, though there are others, is that they always seem to "talk up" the previews of the games, and how great they think they are, and then when the game is actually released, they slam it!
Take this game for instance. IGN had previews with comments and pictures like "Wow, this game looks good", and statements like "We wish we could have played more than one inning", etc. Even if these are not final builds that they are previewing (and I know most of the time it's not) many of the issues/flaws pointed out in this review could probably be seen in a near final version - not to mention I'm sure the IGN staff had this game at least a few days before Joe Public did. Why not just be honest about it? If certain stadiums look poorly done, or the crowd looks terrible, say so!
While I think the score is a little low, and the review seems a bit too critical at times, it's not bad for the first of what is a three year plan. I actually expect to see reviews this year in the low 8's. It's only too bad last year was such a waste, we could be in the second year of something great.
