PS3 Online Issues

I cannot connect with anyone I challenge in the lobbies. And everyone else is the lobby is having the same problem. It indicates that some people are playing online somewhere.... Can someone tell me what configurations or ports needs to be set for this to work for us lobby dwellers?! :rolleyes:

BTW.... the 2K Online Desk doesn't even load the FAQ! So go figure that one out :thumbsdow :thumbsdow

Server sucks 2k fix this freakin nba2k7 has same issue if they don`t fix it i`m done with 2k game`s i play for the online aspect

here you go...this is wat you gotta do...you gotta give your ps3 an ip manually and not let it do it automatically when using a router...

most default router ips are 192.168.1.1

give your ps3 an ip of 192.168.1.104 (or something between 100-199)
the next line will be 255.255.255.0
next line is usually default router...which is 192.168.1.1
next line is primary dns which i believe is same 192.168.1.1
next line is secondary dns which youll have to call your internet provider because i dont know how to look that up....

next go to your web browser on your cpu..type in 192.168.1.1 and type admin for username and pw
click on gaming and assec.... then go to dmz(sub menu) and type your ps3 ip into the box and enable it and save

enabling the dmz will open every port running to your ps3...dont worry bout hackers or viruses cuz they wont target ps3's ...trust me once you do this youll be fine....especially if you have cable..i have dsl and have trouble hosting still but can accept every challenge...hope its helpfull

tmoney you dont have to do hardly any of that, let it get the IP from the router and then use that ip to do port forwarding on and boom bobs your uncle

im not able to challenge anyone but i am able to recieve challenges
heres wat i noticed, wen i look at who is challengin me i always look at the persons PING
if its green then itll go throw, but u gotta make sure ur ping is green to
i accepted challenges from ppl wit no ping and it never went threw

Yes it does tell you its IP address, just go to the internet settings option and it will display your ip address. I have my ps3 setup to acquire everything dinamically and I have had the same ip address for my Ps3 sense the day i bought it.

This game will not let myself, or hardly anyone connect in the lobby. Full ping, no ping, doesn't matter. I know my connection is good, i play numerous online games with the PS3. Go figure though, the one i was most excited about, blows big time. 2K games, you need to fix your issues. You are losing some serious fan base with this. Oh yea, don't tell people to refer to a friggin in game online faqs...that doesn't work either.

Reading posts scattered all over the net and on this forum, and from not being able to get online myself along with many others. Only one conclusion can be made i suppose. Seems to me, in order to play online with this game, it requires a whole bunch of d**king around. I am unsure why it can't be as simple as say, "Resistance", or any other non 2K game. For whatever reason, it sure kills what could be a fun game online. Bad bad move 2K Sports.

its easy. ports 3658 and 4658 need to be forwarded for all 2k games. there are almost always ports to open for online. i have no problem at all playing games online as long as the ports are open. dont bash 2k it has nothing to do with it.

the problem is with sony and 2k....had the same issue on ps2 with all 2k games....you gotta give you ps3 an ip manually so that you know what it is...then go to your router settings on your web browser and enable the dmz for your ps3 ip...takes 2 minutes.
