Yep. Ben Brinkman's a liar.

In all his recent interviews he was bragging about how the soundtrack was so good that he didn't rip any of his own tracks to the game. Well, turns out that's because you CAN'T do that in the first place.

I honestly can't believe it - why the hell would we want to customize which of the 10 or so songs we have as options will play after a 2-run homer? None of them are stadium songs anyway.

You can upload songs I think, but you can't do it with an IPOD.....I tried. You can only do it with the playlists on your hard drive.

Fightin Penguin
February 28th, 2007, 09:40 AM
It is possible to put your own songs in the game but I have found nowhere in the game where you can give each batter his own custom song.

You cannot put your own songs into stadium beats, from what I have seen and been told.

Even if you have a playlist, and I have several, it does not give you the option to select said playlist in the stadium beats section (like for situational songs, etc.)

If I am mistaken, please tell me how you do it, because I have tried everything.

February 28th, 2007, 11:52 AM
You can't. The custom songs for batter walkup, etc., is for the soundtrack that the game provides. You can change the songs that 2ksports already has in the game for your batter walk up, HR, end of game and so on.

You cannot do it. you play to win the game hello.

YES YOU CAN. You can do it for XBox360.

Go into 2k beats. press left trigger and select a PLAYLIST, you have to have a saved playlist in the dashboards music player.

Next, go to stadium beats and turn off all the songs there. then save.

I can't understand WHY 2K sports would cut a feature this popular in the 360 version. EVERYONE loves the ability to customize the soundtrack, so why on earth would you remove it from your next-gen versions?

The only thing I can think of is that the game is STILL being made on last gen systems and next-gen is an afterthought.

Negative, this doesn't work.

Everyone please push 2K for a patch to add this, it's totally inexcusable to remove it.

Ok, most obvious thing is to make sure you have a playlist made in the dashboard.

Next, go into stadium beats and turn all the songs off using the Y button. Make sure they are ALL off, not just the solo homer, you can press lb to see them all Next go into 2k beats ten press left trigger and select the playlist you made.

Finally, go into My 2k7/my settings/presentation/audio scroll all the way to the bottom and switch custom stadium music to all stadiums.

I also came across a glitch where, if you are playing any music from the dashboard, then go into the game, then play a game but stop the music during it, it will switch back to the original music when you go back to the menus and wont reset unless you reboot the game.

Does anyone know if you can with the Playstation 3? I noticed when you start the game up and it's loading all the saved data (settings, etc.), it's also says it's loading "user playlist"? Does anyone know if that is refering to the user edited soundtracks in the game or the actual music stored on the hard drive?

I dont know but how do make a playlist? Cause you know what? I just flicked the right analog on my 360 controller and this media player thing popped up, here it gives you an option to turn off all in game music then you click the LT or RT and it switches to custom music and it allows you to use a playlist that you have saved on your 360 HD.

But the thing is that I dont know how to get my own music on the 360. Does it have to be in a different format other then an mp3?

Why do sports games have the WORST Soundtracks! First it was EA and all the garbage music they put on, and now 2K is following right along with them. I had to disable all music in this game.

Alright I created my playlist. I turned all of the songs off in the stadium beats. Went to 2k beats and turned off the Default Music. Went to my playlist selected it and its playing during the menus. Then I went to the settings and turned custom stadium music to all stadiums.

How do I get the music to be played during the game? It doesn't show up where you can select songs to be played during the different times of the game. In fact no music plays right now because I turned off all of the default music. So how do I get my music to be played during the game?

I have not seen any posts on custom soundtracks in a few days now. I have done what was suggested and have menu music of course. I have however heard my music play in a game situation if you have created a player. You will hear your custom music as he comes to the plate, but at no other time have I heard it. It also cycles between songs so it may be a different song you hear each time. Let me know if anyone else has experienced this....

Hey Gamers - I'm really shocked to see this thread has 5 pages of posts and no solid answer for the question. I have the xbox 360 version of MLB2K7 and this what you can and can't do with customizing music:

The 'Stadium Beats' feature allows you to choose and customize what songs play in the stadium during different situations of the game. Songs can be customized for each stadium or for all stadiums. Stadium Beats/songs CAN NOT be from your hard drive/computer/zune/ipod etc. The songs you can choose and customize are only songs that come on the MLB2K7 Disc. You have different versions of some songs to choose from and for some situations you can choose from dozens of fan chatter, stadium organ songs, and fan chants. It's nice to be able to get in there and turn off some songs - I can't stand hearing that organ play the "how much is that doggy in the window" tune... ugh.

You can however select custom play lists from your hard drive/computer/zune or ipod to play in the game menus. I have mine set to shuffle the iTunes play list I am streaming from my computer. Using the right analog stick to activate the 2K Sports music player you can skip/pause/stop/play or change play lists quickly.

If you have a created player on your team I noticed the stadium plays part of a remixed version of the Beck song "Qué Onda Guero" as they come up to plate. I'm not sure if this song is different for created players placed on different teams - I've only used created players that I have added to the Dodgers. Kind of weird that the Beck song is not selectable in the Stadium Beats lists though.

Hope this clears up any confusion :)

I'd assume this was done to limit how much the 360 is accessing data outside of the game. MLB2K7 substantially improved the replays and load times - everything is much smoother than it was in MLB2K6. If the game was trying to access MP3's from some external source while loading the last innings replays, pitcher intro, and then batter intro's - I'd assume we'd see some performance issues. Not a bad trade off in my opinion. I could care less if I hear 'Fall out Boy' as Furcal steps up to the plate :)
