I have found a few very annoying things in the online which need to be patched. Feel free to add your own as well...
1. Joe Morgan tips pitches many times (mostly during payoff pitches) by telling both players how the catcher is setting up. (eg. "Posada is calling for the pitch high and inside.)
2. Why is there no rumble when pitching to tell you when you're out of the strikezone? I did a friend match and neither of us had rumble while pitching, despite it being set to "yes" in the settings.
3. Voice chat gets cut off in a friend match as soon as the game ends, despite the warning on the screen saying that voice chat will be cut upon exiting game.
4. The lag issues make it a completely different game online vs. offline. Not sure what can be done there, but hopefully something.

1. Not too bad, it's dealable.
2. Definitely annoying and needs to be fixed.
3. Don't have a mic so it doesn't bother me.
4. The lag should get much better as people get tired of the game, and 2k fixes issues throughout the spring.

1.)Yeah, Jon Miller does speak out on the catchers position, but you can bluff it. It's actually quite fun to do so.
2.) I actually like that there is no rumble when pitching. It makes it a bit harder to pitch. You do get a glimpse of the strike zone. The only time the rumble is useful is when playing 2 players on one system. Since the curser disappears, you need the rumble as a guide.
3.) Yeah, that is quite annoying. I really like saying, "Hey goo..." and then being cut off.
4.) I've actually had a few lag free games. This is the best playing online baseball game I've ever played. Some games may be laggy, but you will find many that are not.

I very much agree that they have to turn commentators off for online games if they are going to give away pitch location. That works fine in single player mode cause they don't tip the AI pitches. But online, it's a huge oversight.

I know that I can just bluff the pitch tipping, but it seems to occur a lot during payoff pitches, and those are the ones I don't want to bluff.

The most concern Id have is the lag during online play. How are leagues suppose to keep it smooth if you play league games with lag? Is this the case?

I dont see what the big deal with the announcer is. As a batter you have no choice to swing high/low or inside/out so all the batter is concerned with is the speed of the ball and if it is in the zone. Joe does not give either of those facts away and even if he does say 'possibly outside the zone' you still have the ultimate decision on where to put the pitch. If anything I think the announcer helps the pitcher more than the batter because it gets a batter looking for one spacific thing.

Yes, it can help both the batter and pitcher. It helps the batter especially if it's a payoff pitch (which is usually an instance when you want to listen to what your catcher is suggesting) because the hitter can use his batter's eye in the area Miller is mentioning, giving him an edge. If the batter uses his eye in that location and it doesn't tip off the pitch, it eliminates a section of the strikezone for him to focus on.
It's a minor thing, yes, and it can be lived with, but I'd personally rather them leave that little bit of announcing out during head-to-head online play.

I have one. Waaaaaaaay too many homeruns. I could place a perfect pitch, if it has almost any contact by a guy with a big bat, it's gone almost everytime. Almost worth giving guys like Frank Thomas a free pass to first base because it's not worht pitching to guys like that. Sad and I hate it. 2K needs to make it to where if the pitch is place perfectly in the corner that chances of a long bomb are significantly dropped. And whats with the homeruns being robbed

How about not getting the achievement for playing a 9 inning game online. I played three in a row and I didn't get the achievement. Maybe it has to be through a ranked match only, I don't know. All I know is that my friend and I didn't get it.
I know that many people don't care if they get an achievement or not, they just want "gameplay to be pefect", and I repsect that, I'm just listing this as something that needs fixing. Maybe I'm not doing something right and it is Okay already and I just need to learn what to do to get that achievement.

Bluffing the called out pitches is great. You don't have to fire a pitch off every 3 seconds. Take your time, set up your pitches. It's a baseball game, not a Nascar race to the finish. If he calls out my pitch location, I will change it until I feel happy, even if it takes me 15 seconds to pitch.
I'd rather get that strike or get that batter to reach for something than pitch a spot that is automatic.

It's not really needed and makes pitching a slight more difficult, but it's still too easy.

Then why allow the option for "Vibration" (which I have set to on) when I'm in my online settings, but no vibration.
If it wasn't supposed to be rumbling online, that option wouldn't be there.
