They gave it a 7.5 overall. I don't have the game yet, so I can't agree or disagree with their assessment. I also don't typically go to this page for reviews, so I don't know how reliable they are. Doesn't seem like there have been any in depth reviews yet, addressing some of the problems people are having like an absurd amount of HR's, amazing web gems, and roster glitches that occur during franchise.

If anyone has any information about those topics I just posted, or potential remedies to these problems. post them here.

1.) Absurb amount of homeruns - I'm my franchise with the Indians I've played 5 games and hit 3 homeruns. (Sizemore/Marte/Martinez). The computer has slugged two or three I started it off playing on Pro, I hear that rookie mode is where you'll get the slugfest of homers. Upping the difficulty is a remedy and of course there are always sliders.

2.) Amazing Web Gems - Playing Seattle in my second series Ichiro was all over my *** in the outfield, making diving catches, running onto balls catching them then crashing into the wall. While they looked spectacular it got a bit repetitive. Same thing in my series with the Whitesox, as the SS and 2B posisition it was hard getting hits because of great defensive dives and grabs on hops.

3.) Roster glitches - Not being that far into the season I can't tell you anything about glitches, all I know is playing against the computer it adjust to your pitcher. I've heard through someone else though that later in the season the "glitch" from 2k6 is not apparant.

That's fine if the computer adjusts to your pitcher. For instance, in an AL lineup, having a righty DH against a lefty pitcher, or vice versa. But some of the stuff I'm hearing, like having Beltran leadoff and Reyes out of the lineup? That's just absurd.

Now I'm hearing that someone did a fantasy draft, and the computer didn't draft the good players, leaving Mauer to the 8th round, Reyes till later, etc.

These are the type of simple problems you would think decades of gaming would have been able to fix. Charging $60 per game and selling thousands of games, you'd think they'd care that their product didn't have these errors. It's like grammatical or spelling errors in a published article. You just don't make these stupid mistakes because you test the games before you put them out...

Couldn't tell you about the Fantasy Draft, on the other thing though. Reyes batting 8th or Manny leading off. Those issues I believe have been fixed. A simulator mentioned in another post that in May after simming a bunch of games Manny was still batting third, which is a good sign.

Yeah, I did see that post earlier today, but I've also read a post saying that in the 2nd game of the season, against the Mets, Beltran was leading off and Reyes wasn't even playing.

THe AI did stupid stuff like that. I played the Reds AI trade him to Reds) in 2K6 the had Glaus leading off. They also had Rolen leading off everytime I played Cards. I hope is better this year.
