so far I would say it depends, who is robbing you? I've been playing with ny and crawford does rob me, but I'm not in shock since I am trying to pull it and he is a fast and agile fielder.

I've played two games so far, both against the White Sox. Scott Podsednik has robbed 3 homers. He is a good fielder, so i'll have to wait and see if I get robbed with crappy fielders.

I got robbed by adam dunn and i was like  . He got so far above the wall, it was crazy. Im a reds fan and he is the worst fielder ever so it is overdone. To many good and great catches and not enough errors. Still fun though.

True, but in this game if you hit power all the time, it will goto the wall a lot.

i haven't been robbed of a homerun yet, my first one actually the guy went up to rob it but it went to far over the wall I guess and it was a homerun I liked how that looked. Granderson has made like 5 cathes at the wall or diving etc in a game which was ****ing me off haha. I have seen them miss it or drop it etc so i'm glad it's not 100% caught all the time.

What you have too do is reduce the out fielder speed alittle, What i did is play it on all star level and i changed the sliders too 50 everything for both human user and cpu except pitcher's fatigue users 30 cpu's 40 and i have had very real game stats and scores and as for being robbed only 3 times out of 6 games, of course i'm kinda new at playing baseball games but as i get better i will up the cpu's slider as needed. Even moving the sliders some things in the game is cpu controled like the batters eye and clutch at bats, it works for me i still lost 2 games my record is 4-2 with the giants. Also a good tip for franchise players: if you have money for free agents pick up roger clemons then trade him to another team in a three way trade, i picked him up for the giants then traded him with winn and a AAA pitcher for bobby a can't spell his last name but his rating is a 92 from the yanks and AAA pitcher and an AAA out fielder and i still have money if i need another player. So far bobby a hit two HR"S and plays a solid outfield I love playing this game and i'm not a big baseball fan either great job 2ksports.

Key to stop getting robbed of homeruns....
Stop trying to hr swing with everyone...Some of you cats try to take it out with every batter. How about a base knock every once in a while

Im from chicago and posednik was good maybe two years ago thats why he's in left now and not center where he started. Also not knocking you but the fielders are definitley overrated:) :)

I have had a few robbed by players that normally wouldn't be robbing but also a bunch missed so i am not to upset about this more upset by all the over the shoulder and diving catches made by really slow outfielders

I'm pretty sure this is a bug. I've had balls robbed from THE GREEN MONSTER in Fenway!! I don't think there is any logic checking how tall a wall is--players and the computer can jump anything. I hope they release a fix.

You need to play with the sliders. Increase errors. MLB 2k7's default settings are a bit exagerated so that casual players can see amzing catches. If you want a really real experience, fiddle with the sliders....

In my league I have lost four gams out of 21, and three of those losses have been from robbed homeruns! Twice they robbed Mark Teixeira. The whole unbelievably, ridiculous, good feilding junk gets on my nerves.

ive easily been robbed 3 or 4 times in a game on top of 5 or 6 spectacular catches on balls in the yard. Very fake!!

how do u go about chaging the sliders without changing the entire game??? everytime i play with the sliders the opposing team cant hit a ball out of the infield, even if im touching a defensive slider??? The game setting goes from allstar or whatever im playing on to custom and once it says customs the computer plays like garbage and its very easy to win every time

it is wicked crap. ive played a whole season and had over 100 hrs robbed. 4 5 6 in a game all the time. by crappy fielders and good ones. its a huge problem. i very rarely hit homers that go more than 10 feet over the wall....what happened to homers that are just blasts. never happens. crappy.

You need to pump up your infield and outfield errors as well as the computers' infield and outfield errors to 100%. They will boot hard hit balls, drop diving slide catches, or log running catches, as well as robbery catches over the fence. Since I put these settings this way the game couldn't be any more realistic. I have yet to see a computer fielder rob me of a home run reaching over the fence. It may have happened once, but so long ago I can't even remember. By putting these sliders this way it'll make the great fielders make great plays and the lesser fielders more apt to make a mistake. It's in the player edits how well they will field. I have played with every error setting from 50% all the way to 100%, and believe me these are the most realistic. Give'em a try and see what you think. And by the way at 100% it's not ridiculous where every ball hit there is an error to follow. They are about as realistic as watching a real baseball game. Later

My guess is that it is all in the sliders. At the time of writing this I don't know mine off hand. But I am playing with the Reds (and I am doing far better than the real team :thumbsdow) Adam Dunn commits more errors in the outfield than any other outfielder I have used. He is pretty solid most of the time but it seems like anyime his % gets down in the 60's he is more likely to commit errors. This may be true for everyone, but I notice it more with him. He is by far the best all around batter on my team though, strangely enough. Encarnacion is a close second, with Griff being a close third.
and on the flip side, I do get robbed way more than I rob others. it does seem a little rediculous.

What team are you using? I am leading the league in homers with the Reds half way threw the season. Dunn, Griff, and Encarnacion are the bomb!

This goes back to the fact there are too many HR's in the first place. I lowered OF speed and raised errors to the field can't get to everything and when they do, there's a slight poss. it will be misplayed.
then i made it pretty hard to hit homeruns. raised pitcher difficulty, speed (more prone to hard hits but my timing is much worse) ... etc. You have to be willing to play with it otherwise you are doomed to waiting for a homerun to score.
In my game, i see homeruns being robbed four or five times 50 games into the season. can't stop em when they play your hitter deep.
ive seen someone jump to rob one and fumble the ball back into the field.

Lowering Fielder Speed is the key. That way the Outfielder wont be able to get back to time his jump before the ball goes over the fence.
Also, lowering Outfielder Speed is a key for more realistic Doubles, without being thrown out at 2B on a routine Double. Also, I raised Baserunning Speed, and that helps the overall balance too. This helps for plays at 1B where runners appeared waaaay to slow for routine plays and wouldnt even be in the screen at 1B most of the time.
Lowering Fielder Arm Strength helps the overall balance too as players have rocket arms by default.
By doing these things, I never have more than one robbed HR a game tops and usually I dont have that. And I dont have guys getting thrown out at 2B on a routine Double. Of course, this doesnt apply to short porch parks like a Fenway.
You DO have to adjust the sliders to get realistic play in this game. I play on Allstar and I have very good games with a nice variety.
Sliders are a great option to have in a Sports game as people that like Simulation gameplay can then tweak it that way, where kids that just want a HR contest can have their cake too.
