I called both EB Games and Gamestop and they both told me that this game was not released on the old Xbox system. They said the only old system it is on is PS2. Why would they release it on PS2 and not regular Xbox. Can someone clarify if it is available for old gen Xbox please? Thanks.

eb games told me that too but they're lying. They were told to say that I guess. It's just they aren't carrying it so they wanna trick u into buying the game from them on another console.
you can buy mine off ebay if you want

It is available for Xbox only in limited quan******. I have it and am not impressed. It plays a little better than 2k6 but the rosters are pretty bad and they aren't many possibly no updates to stadiums or teams like they did for the next gen systems.

I bought it for xbox old gen from the 2k store. Just go to the 2ksports.com site and there will be a link to their store. (Got here in less than a day too) I think Best Buy has it/will have it too/maybe has it online.
This is my first 2k game, too. Graphics arent great, but the peripherals (unlockables, etc) are pretty cool so far.
My 2 cents

do not buy the game for XBOX. It is horrible. It's funny that you're selling yours on ebay, I'm selling mine on craigslist. For first time 2k guys, you will think this game is OK, but if you played last years game, you will know that it is exactly the same as last year, no new features. Nothing looks better to me, the hitting just looks worse. The ratings are what **** me off the most. Not only is Cliff Floyd a 99, one of the 40+ 100 rated players is Mike Sweeney.

I noticed that about Cliff Floyd. Maybe he knows someone at 2k or something.
So far I'm enjoying it, but it's clear that it was retroed from a next gen game because there are a lot of little things not so great about it. But frankly, I'm just happy to finally be able to put away MVP05. I had done everything I could do with the game and was just getting bored with it. This will tide me over until the BIGS comes out this fall (which will prob also be next-gen only and crappy-retrofitted to this system)

It's not only Cliff Floyd. I'm a big Cubs fan so I know all the Cubs... Jaque Jones is a 93, Murtons a 91. Lee, Soriano, and ARAM are 100. Also, Konerko, Dye, and Thome are all 100. I agree that the 100's are good players, but NO ONE in the game should be 100. I think they gave every team at least 2 players rated 100.

I agree. It's fine to have a 100 rating for a category or two, but overall??? Are they actually saying that Aramis Ramirez is the BEST player in the game (albeit in a 40 way tie) and that he cant possibly get ANY better? I think the first few months of his 06 season would beg to differ.

That being said, I'm unbelieveably giddy that the Astros are ranked #21.

Well, its not only in the older gen games. I heard the 360 also has a bunch of players that are at 100 That is not true. The only player on 100 on the 360 is Albert Pujols
