Judging how most of you hate MLB 2k7 for PS2 and xbox, I now know to go for the show.

I see some people must stick with this game just because you only have an xbox. I have an xbox and a PS2.

Reason?

My favorite first person shooter games are on xbox (doom 3, Return to castle wolfenstein, halo2??? I don't really like that game.)
More variety of sports games on PS2 (the show)

I find that the show 06 is very hard. If anyone tried both games, tell me which one is easier in difficulty. I never won a game in mlb 06 the show in the EASIEST mode. Nor did I win in any of 989 sports games.

I'll just rent both and pick. It is the only and best way for me to pick a game. I never tried any 2k games except nhl 2k6. I mostly play EA because I normally don't touch my consoles. Only in parties do I take them out.

I have always liked 2k better for hockey and basketball. Their baseball games have always had some nice features, but never seemed to be the best game out on any given year and I never cared much for 2k football.

989 / Sony sports games in general have been weak, in my opinion, but they have put out one of the better baseball games (if not the best) for several years now. I did not buy the Show, but I do have the previous year's Sony baseball game and I bought that after trying all the baseball games that were out two years ago. I think MLB/Sony series picked up alot of the old Acclaim All Star Baseball fans; I know the Acclaim series was my favorite when it was available.

It it very interesting to me that 2k's PS2 version, at least, is getting some very poor reviews on its own forum!?! When EA signed an exclusive deal with the NFL and 2k signed a deal with MLB, many believed that the lack of competition would lead to an inferior product. Looks like they were right! I'm not singling out 2k because Madden has not made the types of upgrades that they were making prior to the exclusive deal either.

Speaking of which, do any of you know about sportstalk baseball for sega genesis? Which game EA, 2k, sony, comes close to this game? The sportstalk baseball themesong is awesome.

I remember to pitch, you just pressed a button. To bat, you hold a button to bunt, but to hit it normally, you have to tap the button just as the ball passes the batter. It was that simple.

Also another question, when you bought mlb 2k7 for ps2, did you get any so called free MLB.TV? It is definitely certain that if you buy the show, you get a free cap.
