For three days now I've been trying to make my catcher snap throw. I know you hit the button for the pitch, hit it again when the circle is small and then you hold the base button with a runner on. I've tried holding it right after the pitcher releases it, I've tried every possible spot before it hits the catcher and I've tried it right when he catches it. Oh, and I've tried it a bunch of times after he catches it. I just don't get it, it's driving me crazy  Could a left handed batter block a throw to 1b from the catcher? Is there a button that puts you in catcher cam? Please help me!

I believe what you have to do is: When your pitcher is on the mound, instead of throwing with the normal pitch buttons you have to use the pitchout command: Hold down the right trigger and then click down on the left anolog, Clicking on the right analog while holding down the Right trigger button will intentional walk.

Intentional walks?
By snap throw he means the throw a catcher makes to first after the pitch to try to catch a runner with a large lead napping. Yadier Molina is famous for it.
Did I just state the obvious? Maybe I misunderstood what was going on here. And to answer the original question, no I have not figured out how to do it, but I would like to know. Great question.

Like we said in the earlier post: You have to hold down the right trigger and click down on the left anolog when on the mound.

no thats for a pitch out, as in when the runner is stealing and you give up a ball to set up your catcher better for the throw down to second. I actually dont know how to snap throw either... try checking the book.

I don't think you can snap throw this year. I guess you just have to pitch out and then throw to the base.

when i play or look at stats (i think) it has a stat for snap throw but of course i have none but i do believe you have to be able to do it or they wouldn;t have the stat

Actually it is possible you had it half right before, you have to throw a pitch out by holding the right trigger and then clicking in the left thumbstick, then after the pitcher throws the ball you hold down the button for the base you want to throw to (similar to how you throw out a runner who is stealing)

Never thought to use the snap throw. Frankly, I didn't even know what a snap throw is b4 reading this thread. Post above by Billythe kid is correct. Pitchout then throw to base...
All in all I've only seen an opponent use it once. I'm gonna have to try using it now and then.

to snap throw, you have to pitch out and while pitch is in mid flight, press and hold the button where the base runner is, this will take you into the "catchers view" and then get the circle down till its white and he'll snap it.
that is how it is done. there is no other way to snap throw in this game.

That is totally geigh. You shoudn't have to throw a pitchout. Most snap throws are done on regular pitches and the catchers usually don't even stand up to throw it.
You should be able to throw on any pitch (pitchout or not). MVP had this right. Chalk up another one for 2k!
