only differance is in the gm career mode you have goals set by the owner you have to meet. or try to

Differenceis that GM Mode you have a Boss , the owner and he tells you to do things and you have to do them or risk getting fired.
Franchise you are the owner and do whatever you want.

Big difference is that you have to play 162 games if you play GM Mode whereas you can edit the season length in Franchise.

GM mode adds much more emphasis on money management as well.
