Just a short list of things i'd like to see for next year's version. Feel free to add yours.
- Improved passing. Too many times do i push the direction of the intended player only to have the pass go across the court. Too many passes are weak and easy to pick off.
- A little bit better post play.
- Crowd attendance an reactions/cheering based on team performance.
- Have players actually grab the rim instead of hands close to the cylinder on dunks.
- Other minor bug fixes.
Other than these, for me this game is awesome. Keep up the great work!

How about this one: Making one (1) release date and actually releasing the game that day! We can't even comment on how the PS3 version plays because it's still not out yet and apparently doesn't ship till March 18, which will be more than halfway through the real NCAA tourney. The PS3 version has been handled extremely unprofessionally and it really makes 2K look bad. The game better be above and beyond when it finally hits stores.

the way it is going 2k7 is gonna be 2k8, they might as well change the cover athlete and write 2k8 on the cover.

I'd like to see all the release dates be the same....I know it most likely will happen. When I actually get the game I might be adding to this thread. Just curious, is it illegal for them to add the players names even w/ their permission. Why wouldn't you try to contact all the d1 athletic directors and have them ask their players if they wanted their name on college hoops 2k8. Who's going to say no?

I believe it's because they are student-athletes...key word being student. They are in college and their primary reason for being there is to go to school. The NBA is a profession and they are paid.

I got that, but I'm saying ask for their permission to put their name in a video game...that's not against the rules is it?

Yeah, it has to be.

If that happens then players will begin demanding to be paid for those rights. Which in essence some college athletes are beginning to protest companies making money off of their work.
A student-athlete's primary role is to be a student, athletics is second. They shouldn't be paid as they already receive much more in compensation than the average student.

College students don't have a players' union to sign a contract with to include their names (A la Barry Bonds' name isn't included in MLB games because he isn't a part of their union when the union signs contracts, unless he joined and is included now). I imagine they could, technically, sign a contract with every single player. ^_^

I wouldn't mind seeing the create-a-school uniforms being a little more diverse.
They have been that way since 2k5 I believe.

I would love to have more and better passing capabilites, Such as on fastbreaks (behind back pass, behind head,or other sweet passes)

There are a few things in the gameplay that hinder this game from being great. First off the stealing and passing need to be addressed. There are far too many turnovers and steals each game because of players passing into the bodies of defenders standing right in front of them instead of automatically lobbing it over them or taking 1 pivot step to pass around them. This is quite annoying and keeps the game from running smoothly, real games have about 8 steals per game most games I play have around 20 and thats with me setting the steal slider to 0. When steal slider is at the regular limit there is a steal every other possession. The post up play can be polished also, the power step with the X button where he spins into the middle of the lane is FAR too effective. You can dominate a game with this move single handedly if you have a solid big man. Other than that I don't have many grimes overal the game is by far the best college basketball game I've ever played, would just like to see 2k go the extra mile and fix some of these bugs/unrealistic gameplay issues.

Hopefully once the game is out someone can post the best sliders for the PS3.
