I figured I'd start the thread. I love this game. In fact, it's my favorite game. My wife is getting sick of me playing it. It's the only thing I touch.
SUGGESTIONS:
(NOTE: I play coach mode. That's the only way I play.)
1. More specific POINTS OF EMPHASIS during timeouts... also... should be available every timeout. Maybe even... single out specific players to tell them to set better screens... or to rub off screens better... or block out... etc. Would love to see the posibilities be unlimited. Yet, you only get 1 or 2 a timeout.
2. HALFTIME pep talk? POINTS OF EMPHASIS at HALFTIME??
3. PRACTICE... with the players. Running plays. Running scrimmage. Making em' run! LOL
4. Coaches press conference. (that would be cool)

having students and players charge on to the court after a big win

1) Need to be able to call timeout after you make a bucket, and before the other team inbounds it. Not sure why this isn't in 2k7.
2) Recruiting should be more in depth, maybe a small video on signing day of top recruits choosing their school's hat, and more options instead of only visiting, inviting to campus, and scouting (besides phone and email).
3) Jerseys that are flawed like Florida's and Kentucky's NEED to be fixed, and retro jerseys should be an option with most teams.
4) Each major program should also have an unlockable all-time team (Kentucky, Duke, UNC, Kansas, etc.)
5) Final four should be more exciting, March Madness games should feel different from November throw away games, and possibly a "One Shining Moment" montage in the Season Wrap-up Show.
EDIT: Additions
6) Undershirts NEED to be in next years game, I've heard that they were already put in, but they are a necessity when it comes to uniforms.
7) Also, like in the older NCAA Football games, you as the coach should be able to convince your underclassmen to stay another year or two of college. Maybe use "points" among you and your assistants like you do with recruiting.
Thats about it, I'll add more if I notice that I missed something. BTW, this is my favorite game and I love playing it.

I like them all but I love #2.
I'm a career guy and it would be nice if I could attend a camp with 1, 2 and lower 3-star players. Hell, I would love to see some AAU ball with 1-5-star players playing on the same teams.
Imagine watching a 2-star player that you have a good shot at taking it to a 5-star player that you don't have a shot at.

A few suggestions for 2k8:
1) Shooting is still way too inconsistent. The players either make 0 out of every 5 shots or 5 out of 5 never in between like most players do during games.
2) I think you should be able to sell your pitch to your recruit, like telling them "You'll start as a freshmen" or "You'll be the go to guy by your senior year" and so on.
3) When the gym is being filled the seats closer to the floor, when you go to a gym and it is nowhere near sold out, you don't see people sitting in the last row.
4) There should be ONE DISTINCT STUDENT SECTION
5) This next one is not needed but I think it'll be cool: You should be able to retire players numbers and have championship banners and a sign with your 1000 point scorers on it, etc.
That's all I can think of right now, I'll write more later if I can think of anymore.

Those are some good ideas I don’t mind limiting the point of emphasis. I love the idea of singling out players though. That would tie into the pep talk well. You could even trigger the coach to actually say something when you select a point of emphasis.

That would be hot if done right.
If you tell a kid he will start as a freshman and he comes in and you make him the 9th man off the bench. Talking about a unhappy ready to transfer recruit.

I think it would be cool if you could give names to the team your controlling in dynasty mode, like we could name them ourselves, so we could...you know, give them the real names.

After playing this for past few months, I have come up with things that have caught my attention about what can be added and changed. For most of the request in this list, I realize that you can use the sliders to adjust this, but the sliders should only be needed to SLIGHTLY tweak attributes because the game should be as realistic as possible out of the box to begin with, but it really isn’t for this year. So please feel free to add to the list if there is anything that I may have missed.
Offense
- Better 1-on-1 moves (decrease the bumping…IT’S A FOUL WHEN YOU BUMP LIKE THAT!!!! And it makes it impossible to pass or shoot out it, possibly getting called for a 3 secs)
- Ability to abuse lest skilled players (everybody on the floor can’t play good defense)
- Improve inside shooting (it’s very difficult to shoot jumpers inside the arc and the shooting touches are too inconsistent as far as how long to hold the shot stick)
- Allow players to adjust the shots automatically if they’re on the baseline. (I hate that when I take a fade away or hook shot it hits the side of the backboard)
- better passing (determine when to use different passes in different situations, and limit all of the jump passes)
- Limit catching the ball and turning away from the basket. (I figure out that you have to tap the pass button gently to get the forward pass but if you see an open man, u want to get there as fast as possible, but when you hit it hard, they come away from the basket)
- Actually have players run plays out of the playbook, not just the defaults (my roommate was doing the coach mode in his legacy and his players wouldn’t run what he called)
- Please fix the jump ball on the difficult levels (It’s impossible to win on All-American and MOP, there’s no way I can have a 7’2 center with A+ jumping lose to a 6’9 center, even if his jumping ability is the same)
- Better passing out of traps (I have had players simply throw the ball away even if ppl weren’t in front of him…and yes I know it depends on passing skills but the animation sucks)
- Player specific dunks (centers are more power unless they are athletic like Joakim Noah)
- Better substitution A.I. (this has always been a problem even on the NBA version, if a player is hot and not that tired, leave him in…I also know that you can adjust this in the coaching settings but they still come out no matter how long you have your starters stay in.)
- Decrease the amount of forced shots in the post (If a player has a lane to the rim and a defensive players comes over, too many times does my player try to force a foul and it never gets called)
- Home court advantage (I go to Michigan State and the Izzone are jumping around making noise and chanting all game long, it’s loud all game long, this should be the same at other tough schools like Duke, UNC, etc)
Defense
- Decrease the amount of steals in the passing lanes, it’s too easy to do it
- Better post d (shot blocking w/o being called for so many fouls)
- REBOUNDING!!!
- Ability to pick off weak ball handlers and when players have ball behind their back (I get called for too many fouls)
- Ability to catch up on fast breaks (this should only be applicable if you know your player is faster than the offensive player b/c I have had centers outrun my point guards, and this should also apply for the user as well)
Clutch – I feel that this is a silly attribute to have on the game because it has too much emphasis on how the game is played toward the end of games, and I always felt robbed when I was with a weaker team in my legacy and played a powerhouse very well, only to be cheated at the end of the game with shots missing that usual fall in less extenuating situations. I realize that players may get a little rattled when it counts, but that is due to either being on the road (HOME COURT ADVANTAGE), or a less experienced player, or a young freshmen, but that is where team unity should be used better as a clutch factor, but not to the degree that if you play a near perfect game against a powerhouse only to lose composure in the last few minutes. But I do have a few things to use as an example to change.
- CPU free throw shooting (We all know college players don’t shoot free throws that well and there’s no reason why players can hit every shot in the end (while the real FT % is turned on) but there are players that shoot well, but this where practicing in the legacy mode would be useful (to increase the likelihood of them hitting in clutch situations
Recruiting
- Give coaches the ability to view world players better. I’m not sure if the NCAA has rules about coaches going to look at players, but if they do, I would like to at least be able to view multiple game tapes to get an accurate rating on player (I’ve had 4 & 5 star recruits with D ratings on their potential and it’s because I took a chance on them b/c of the difficulty recruiting US players)
- Decrease the amount on 7 footers & increase the size of SG (we know that guys this tall are very rare and they should be in the latter part of recruiting when all the real players leave, and not every 2 guard is 6’2” and shorter, the Allen Iverson factor isn’t legitimate)
- Ability to e-mail players more than once if possible (give the recruit your pitch according to their reasons for playing)
- Talk players into staying after the season is over (this feature has been on March Madness)
- Allow verbal commitments from juniors
Rules and Other random stuff
- More charges (takes too long to set up with the charge button, and if a player is attacking the basket and runs into my player...IT’S A CHARGE EVEN IF MY PLAYER HAS THEIR BACK TURNED AND NOT MOVING)
- Have more points of emphasis after each timeout and during halftime, as well as talk to specific players for emphasis if needed
- Retire jerseys and show banners in the rafters
Animation
- Include facial hair and tattoos an players who have them (every school has a picture of the players, and I know it would take a very long time to gather who has tattoos, but the facial hair shouldn’t be too difficult)
- Better facial features and emotion (race variety…If a player is Mexican, have them look Mexican, this goes for other races and if a player does something spectacular, have them scream and other emotional expressions) also if you get an upset, have the players run on the court as well as the crowd, the same goes for winning the NCAA Championship
- More hair styles and tattoos, there’s not enough of a variety
- Please fix when a player gets stripped and fall out (this is a very stupid animation because the player pretty much dies on the floor and it takes for ever for them to get up, and it doesn’t happen that often in real life, but when it does, the player tries to get the ball back, even if they’re on the floor)
- If teams are ranked, show their ranking in the scoreboard
- During the tournament, show the brackets as the default view with the option of going to the calendar
College Hoops Show
- If your game shows up on the show, display footage of what really happened in the game (the same animations are shown for every team)
- If your game is being previewed, show highlights of one of your past games in the season, unless you’ve played that team this season or last season(only after playing a year) this goes for all the other games that haven’t been played yet
- Players of the week must play at least 2 games to qualify and have realistic stats for the player (the game so far has awarded this to ONLY SF, PF and C, and they always have ridiculous stats, nowhere near their averages)
- Late in the season, show candidates for national awards and have stat comparisons amongst the players
- Possibly add crew from Game Day to do weekly shows during season and continue to have Greg Gumble, Clark Kellogg and Seth Davis do the shows during the tournament)

^^
Just want to respond to some of those and add some myself
I would say the effectiveness of the moves are pretty accurate. Using Arkansas I can break down guards with Welsh and Ervin, I can break down swingmen with Sonny Weems, and get to the rack against big men with Charles Thomas and Vincent Hunter and that’s versus the CPU on the toughest level it’s a lot easier playing someone online who has to deal with lag.
I don’t have a problem with my midrange game either but I do agree it can go too cold.
Other than that I pretty much agree with you on offense. I will say the passing out of traps and in the air is a lot better than NBA 2lk7. With NBA 2k7 you have to have an allstar PG to pass in the air or out of traps.
With defense I pretty much agree with everything except I like the clutch rating I just wish it was more dynamic and that it hinged more on confidence and less on some static rating that may never change more than a few point in four years.
With recruiting I cant disagree with much other than the short 2 guards but to me that’s nothing major.
My mains issues are the following
Camera- Most of the cameras are unplayable. They need to start combining vertical and horizontal cameras so you can see the full transition with a horizontal camera. They could at least pan it out like the 200ft camera in NBA 2k but that camera which was my favorite was missing from CH2k7. Every horizontal camera should have a transitional vertical swing option so the camera swings at the halfcourt line.
Vip bug- The Vip does not show the offensive plays you call. NBA 2k7 had the same problem.
Charges- Like you said they are too low and that’s one of the reasons its too easy to drive baseline.
The defense ad the off ball contact is not physical enough. Not enough off the ball bumping and shoving, not enough hard fouls, and the defense gets knocked down too much. It still beats NBA 2k7 in this area
Guards don’t rebound enough- In real life the Razorbacks 5’11 PG and 6’1 SG get almost as many rebounds as the big men. Guards should have higher rebound ratings. Part of this problem is because there is a lack of long rebounds and all of the tips go stright up instead of out to the perimeter.
Lack of control when diving for lose balls- Not a major issue I just like the fact that they only let you dive when you have a window of opportunity.
CPU inbound game- They just suck. Every honest Razorback fan is going to play fullcourt D and relive 40 minutes of hell. I got to say I get at least 10 steals that I had no business getting a game because the CPU sucks at inbounding. Their inbound defense is just as bad. When they are in zone they just give up wide open threes.
Mop post D- The CPU’s inside game is a bit too effective on MoP

Okay, I havent played 2K7 yet, I just ordered it and it will probably be a couple weeks. Mail to Iraq isnt exactly a speedy thing. I have played 2K6 though and one thing I thought they could improve on was the passing. Personally I feel that the right stick could be better used for passing than shooting because really all it seems to add is the ability to choose between power and finesse dunks which should be pretty much decided by the player who is dunking and it adds the ability to do a player controlled 180 or 360 dunk. release on jumpshots is easier with the button anyway and I dont see the shot stick helping too much with post moves. Using it as a pass stick you could do like baseball passes for full length passes to give better distance, bounce passes to avoid defenders, use the button for a regular chest pass, use the right or left motion of the stick to try to pass to the right or left of your man to avoid defenders or lead to the hoop.

I agree with a previous post....March Madness should have more build up and excitement.
Also, celebrations should be added to tournament victories. Show the players cheering and/or the fans storming the court.
A great game for PS3!!!

I love this game. It's definitely the best basketball game i've played and here are my suggestions for 2K8.
-There is one defined student section in the arena. EG behind both basketball hoops or on the sideline (like the Duke Blue Devils).
- When there is an upset the students storm the court but only if it's an upset like a 7vs.10 and up because a 8vs.9 upset isn't that big of a deal. Or an upset like a ranked team vs. an unranked team.
-Please put in the Agganis Arena for Boston University- i understand that that's not their homecourt they play every home game but it's brand new and is worth putting into the game.
-a practice mode where you can practice playbook plays or 2k can teach you how to run certain plays like motion, handoff, etc. This practice would be without a defense just so you can practice the basics until you perfect it.
-More words for chant creator. Maybe a whole dictionary but just without curse words and words that aren't appropriate. (I understand this would take a lot of recording but at least add words that are used everyday)
-More fan animations on the sideline. (The fans/students jump the whole game) Also more coach animations, for example if the coach thinks that a bad call is made he starts yelling at the ref or his players.
-Pregame player motivation animations, for example the moving circle with the captain in the middle motivating his teammates.

While i do think that fans storming the court should be included, i think that it should just be during the regular season and maybe conference tournaments. If you notice, the only people that storm the court during the NCAA Tournament are the teams themselves and maybe the cheerleaders.

How bout the players you recruit have a grade for Discipline as well? There grade would affect things like how happy a player they are (team player willing to come off the bench or super-star wanna be, etc.), if they get in any off the court issues (poor GPA, violations against team/univ policies, etc.)... if this was added then 2K must also add a feature where players can get suspended, of course the coach would have discresion on the amount of games, etc... but I think this would be a really cool feature to add, it would certainly make the coaching/recruiting process in Legacy mode more interesting and in-depth. I would also like to see the "meet with player" thing be upped to 15 or 20 if the discipline feature was added.... I also like the idea of juniors being able to give verbals, however, maybe "soft verbals" and "solid verbals" would be a way to make that more in depth as well.

Another thing that i would like to add is that the pregame show, the pre-season show, and the Selection Sunday show (no offense 2k) look absolutely horrendous. I think the first thing that needs to be done to fix this is that the set should look a lot like it is on CBS or ESPN. The next thing to be done should be to make Gumbel look more realistic. His body and hands never move. His head and mouth are the only things that ever move.
I think that in order to really get "points of emphasis" to be big in the game is to give more and when you pick a point of emphasis during the timeout you should either see the coach talking to the team or the team captain talking to his teammates.
This game needs to be more realistic during the end of the game. If your team is up by one or two and you're at home the crowd should be very very loud when the other team has the ball. And if you win by a last second shot your team should go nuts, not just walking back to the bench like they just tied the game.

Alright got one: How about making the calender year round because coaches don't get fired on the same day. Put something in the game like you are actually getting persued by different colleges that are without a coach and they can offer different things ($$/year, visits to the colleges???????, certain goals to achieve). This would also make it tougher to choose the school you wanted after your season is over cause they don't all open up at the same time. So you could jump from your school to let's say UMASS after both of your seasons are over but then after NIT or NCAA's are over and something else opens like Memphis or a Kentucky you kick yourself wondering if you could have landed that job!!!! This would also make if fun because if you don't act fast you might miss out on a job you could've had and be stuck at your school another year or have to take a lesser job than you could've had if you wanted to leave your school.

yea being able to have the fans rush onto the court after a big win would be really cool and also UCLA should be ranked better than you ranked them. I mean seriously what the hell

I like the idea that you said Nicholls State, that would be a really cool idea of being offered a job and accepting but then have a powerhouse college show interest in you a few days/weeks after you accepted the offer the the mid-major college.
I think that at the end of the season when the coaching jobs are available you should get offers on how you did the year before. Say you're a mid-major school and you bring your team to the sweet sixteen, you should get offers from a few powerhouse schools and notable mid-major schools instead of all terrible one hit wonder schools.

I love the game but I have a few problems, and agree with everything listed above so I'll try not to post things that have already been said.
There needs to be a uniform editor. especially in create a team. But it would be very cool if there was a uniform editor for all teams. Like if a team like syracuse changed their uniforms mid season you should be able to edit them so they look like the new ones. This would prevent people wanting updates with new uniforms and such.
There needs to be the college atmosphere I think. March Madness tried to capture this I think and they succeeded somewhat. After a fastbreak huge dunk you need everything to go crazy and the other team begging for a time out because the arena is going crazy. Player emotion.
In games that are played on nuetral courts, why is there still a home team and away team in the crowd? Like if I'm in the NCAA tournament why is 95 percent of the crowd my team and 5 percent the other? Stupid
DEFINATELY agree with the half time show and such that they dont even show real replays. Also sometimes both teams will be wearing white which is stupid.
It's impossible to drive in this game. The defender will just become an invisible wall and bump you and make it impossible to get by.

Sorry if this has already been said I haven't read through the whole thread. I also don't own a ps3 or 360 so some of this could already be in the game.
-Add each schools records & year of the record (Each yr W/L record, All-time points leaders, rebounders, number of sweet 16, elite 8, champ appearances, 1st & 2 team All-conference players etc.... basically tons of stats so we can remember not only our players but players thoughout the game)
-Add past School All-Americans
-Add tournament appearances and yr of that appearance for each school
-When it's conference tourney time, your conference tournament is the default tournament for quickly viewing the bracket
-Fix the layups (higher %) and steals (lower %) especially on fast breaking situations where percentages should be less extreme
-Fix the ability to easily recruit world players (I currently won't even recruit them because it's just not even fair)
-Add the NIT or call it something else
-The Ability to practice w/ your team in legacy mode!
-Add the handedness L or R to the player cards
Thanks for listening :D

One thing that definately needs to go is the turnaround jumper from the 3 point line when the shoot button is tapped. When I catch a pass on the arc I'd like to throw up a quick fake, but most of the time my player does some really weak and slow turnaround prayer shot.
Also, when I get a board I want my point guard not to sprint upcourt, especially since I run a halfcourt offense. Half the time when I try to icon pass to my PG after a board he is way downcourt. This makes absolutely no sense.
One more thing. The playcalling system for all basketball games is loooong overdue for a makeover, especially in a game like this where the cpu plays defense so well. There should be a REAL practice mode where plays are explained and able to be practiced with my team in a legacy.

These are actually more than just suggestions, they are essential for a realistic game of basketball to be played.
1. Make the full court pass a risk. Make it go out of bounds 90% of the time and be completed only 10% of the time or atleast 80 and 20. No one throws the ball full court every play and no one completes 100 percent of the passes. This will eliminate the cheesers that throw the ball the length of the court and dunk.
2. Create an effective momentum and foot sliding system. Be able to keep your defender in front of the ball handler so they cant drive by you at will and dunk. Eliminate sliding-Don't let a player be able to slide back and forth with the ball until the defender is an inch away from him so he can hit a 3.
3. A collision detection system needs to be created. There is a decent one now but players can still dribble back and forth until there is a hole and they drive through it and dunk. When there are 3 players in the lane and they all get drove by and dunked on without there being any contact, thats a problem.
4. Lower 3 point field goal percentage when contested. When a shot is contested, the percentage of the chance of the shot going in should go down by 20% or 20 rating points. Too many shots go in that are perfectly defended and they go in at a high percentage. Also almost NO fadeaway 3's should go in EVER.
5. Make low post defense possible. Offensive post moves are almost undefendable. Whenever you post up and quickly shoot after it goes in at a very high percentage. Quickly pressing the LT and shooting must be toned down and not always go in.
6. Just because theres a perfect release doesn't mean the shot has to go in...If there is a perfect contest and a perfect release...the shot has to be effected.
7. Don't make the little 1 handed hook/throw shot always go in. This animation is ugly and is way too high percentage.
8. Double teams need to be adjusted. Don't let a guy be able to shoot while being double teamed and easily make it. When a player is double teamed he should be defended good enough not to be able to make a shot or he must give the ball up.
9. Improve the right stick defense system. When you slide with the ball handler,be able to stay in front of him and make sure there is contact and not just an invisible forcefield. Also be able to tell the difference between great defenders and so so defenders.
10. Make different steal animations. Too many people think they are amazing stealers because they are constantly pressing X to try and "anticipate" and get a steal. Make it a risk to get the steal and when a player lunges and misses the steal, take momentum into consideration and take the player out of the play and have to recover. There is no risk to constantly swiping-There's only reward and if it didn't work so well players would stop doing it or just look like fools doing it.
11. Be able to inbound the ball a little quicker. The ball gets kicked around too much and the refs cant get to it and it takes a long time to inbound the ball. Have a big guy quickly grab the ball out of the net and inbound the ball.
12. Make it easier to take a charge. A lot of charges are taken when players blow by someone and go up for the dunk or lay up. Punish players that are out of control.
13. Make new rebounding animations. There have been the same ones for a while now...Make a one hand snag animation that occurs every once in a while, powerful 2 handed animation, and the grab with one hand and snatch to the other hand-Make different types of rebounds...Powerful, snags, and normal...
14. Pick and roll and Pick and pop-Let the CPU make the decision whether or not to pick and pop-Good shooting big men will pop more than big guys that cant shoot and can finish more in the lane who will roll all of the time.
15. Be able to run a constant motion offense, not just a "set" motion play. I want to be able to run motion like BC or be able to drive and kick like Memphis. Make the drive and dish game more effective. The defense rotates too quickly and should be able to be beat by dribble penetration and good passes.
16. Of course-nearly no open missed lay ups. Also make new lay up animations for the guys that cant dunk and dont give those guys the 1 handed dunk. Give them lay up animations.
17. All new dunk animations around the rim when there is only one step and then dunk. The sideways one handed dunk has never happend before and the other dunks look stiff and ugly. Make a dunk where the big guy gathers, jumps off 2 feet and dunks powerfully with one or 2 hands and pulls down the rim as most big guys do in college basketball. All the other dunks on fast breaks and everything else look good.
18. Make the net flow like it did in NBA 2K6 on PS2 and XBOX.
19. No dunking through the backboard or going under the rim to dunk.
20. Make the momentum system apply to offense too.Why is the offensive player faster than the defender? The offensive player shouldn't be able to slide back and forth like on ice and make it hard for the defender to stay in front of them. Make a player have to shift his weight and plant his feet to change direction. Momentum and foot planting on offense and defense are needed.
21. New shot animations-Take out the one that Lee Humphrey has-Not too many people,if any, shoot like that.
22. The hop step has to be changed dramatically. If a player is in front of the ball handler,he should hop step and run into the defender and lose the ball or get a charge. He shouldnt be able to hop step through a defender. The hop step and spin also need to be slowed down and varied for faster and slower players. This is a must change.
Overall make the game play like the real college basketball. Momentum and foot planting is needed. Majority of full court passes need to go out of bounds. Constant reaching and swiping needs to be punished by momentum and not rewarded. Lower field goal percentage when the shot is contested. Reward open shots and punish bad shots-contested shots and fade aways from 3. I want to truly be able to play defense...Slide my feet quickly and beat the player to the spot, stay in front of him, and keep contact with him and not have him just slide around and force 3's and dunks n be rewarded.

There need to be rivalries in this game. In conference and out of conference, I know NCAA Football has this feature. Just being a Seton Hall student I know we are rivals with St. John's, Rutgers these aspects should be in games which help you in your job security and increases the fan base or lowers the fan base.
There should also be a more interactive and realistic coaching hiring and firing also there should be more interaction with the Athletic Director as well as the fans.
As mentioned before, the fan base should be more realistic. Mid level Major BCS conference teams don't have 100% attendance and low level programs at BCS conferences don't either. I feel like this 100% attendence level in the game is really bogus.

How about Freedom Hall? It's not like UofL is some midmajor school. Is the KY Fairgrounds charging you for the rights or something? We're talking about one of the Top 10 programs of all time here.
When a center gets the ball on the short coner, he should gather himself and go up strong with 2 hands for either a dunk or a power layup.
Offensive palyers with the ball should be a tad slower.
Presser breaker plays. We don't need a ton, maybe 2 or 3.
Crowd gets loud at important possesions. NCAA games should be more realistic for the crowd. The bigger schools with high seeds are going to bring alot of fans. But you will never see everyone in the arena be for one team like in the game.
Maybe a cut scene for a big upset, rivarlry win, conference championship, national championship, or buzzer beater.
The trap on the press looks sloppy. The players trapping seem to slide in front of the man with the ball.

i like the idea of press breakers because when the computer puts on a press especially the fullcourt man trap press it's really hard to get past the halfcourt line. So to get by it you have to pass a risky pass that 7 times out of 10 gets stolen.

This might be a bit too indepth but I'd love to see it....
There should be a Game Mode in which you create a HS senior and you are locked as that player during the Summer Camps and such and you should be able to get recruited by various schools and here their pitches... (if the kid is a mid-major player he should get recruited by all levels and get pitches such as; "here at Florida A&M you'll start from day 1 and be the star player for your 4 years here"; or "here at Hofstra you'll have a great chance to start by your soph year and have a chance to help us make a deep run in the NCAA's; or "here at Rutgers you'll be a great back-up player and get to play night in and night out against the best of the best and we'll work together to build a championship team")... after the recruitment period you have to sign or walk-on with some team and then you can build your player up through achievements, etc. Get the choice to transfer to a higher or lower school depending on your development or how you feel at a certain school and eventually get a chance to go into the draft, get your number retired at your school, etc.
You should also have the chance to practice, go out and party or study and depending on what you choose your abilites will get better, you'll become academically inelgible, you'll violate team rules and get suspended etc.

My ideas for 2k8 are that It should be 2 Covers one with Billy Donavin and Joahkim Noah on the covers and kevin durant on the other. Another Idea is that seth davis and Clark Kellog should be involved in th the game as far as post and pregame analysis. There should be 2 allstar games as well the jordan classic should be included because 2k sports
has the rights to use M.S.G. So Ea sports probably will already have the rights to jordan
classic in next years game or will probably have it included in that March madness 08. so
They should call the it the 2k h.s. Round ball classic it should be played in M.S.G. It should
feature 5 and some 4 star recruits that did not make the 2k-All american Game. The 2k
world hoop summit should be played that should feature the best 2k-All american east and west Against the best 4 and 5 star World Recruits if Available .You guys should some how get SI involved in this game somehow.

I would love if the Career Mode had SI do a weekly magazine for the game. I knowEA did this (maybe still does) for their legacy mode. Changing covers based on the stars at that particular time, a couple page long articles and cover stories. It'd be real cool.

Post -Game:
Something I saw in past versions that I didn't see this year:
Post-Game wrap-up story. In College Hoops 2k5, I got this after every game, a little
blurb with a short video of something that may or may not have happened in my game (LOL) but, it was fun just the same.
Now, there is no post-game write-up or show at all. (I'm playing PS2, current gen, so other
gens may differ on this)
Recruiting:
E-mails: I would like to be able to send all five e-mails to a player at one time. (I dislike
having to click on the player over and over again to send them those e-mails.) This
feature alone just about triples the time required to sim a season (if you want to control
recruiting yourself). Not saying to make it mandatory, but give me a choice, if I select
this coach to e-mail, let me be able to increment the number of e-mails to give, please?
Scouting: I want to be able to REALLY scout a recruit's high school game, by playing the
game if I so choose. (Just don't allow me to peek at his ratings.)
Too many exceptional recruits: I don't want to say there are too many five-star recruits.
I do want to say that even if a team did pull in all five-star recruits, they would not
automatically have five starters if they did, as the recruits are too good.
Shooting Range: How come I can not see a recruit's shooting range? I want to know if
this guy can pop three's or not.
World Recruit Scouting: Like other people, I want to be able to scout these guys better.
Maybe if I was psychic like the CPU and could see that the 5-star world recruit has a
D- for potential, I'd pass on him too .... or at least be not as disappointed about him.
Recruit Heights: Why are there so many small-forwards at like 6'10" - 7'0" tall? I am
sorry, but they don't usually put people with those specs at small forward at the collegiate
level. I do understand the gripe that people have with shooting guard heights, but ...I think that it might be representative of the college game, as most teams don't have
6'6" shooting guards. Too many 7'0" power forwards. There are too many decent
7 footers out there. There should be fewer of them. And as far as good 7 footers? Those
should follow real life, and come out once every 2 or 3 years.
Practice:
Want in-dynasty practice, like others have stated. Let me practice plays with/without
a defense on the court, Let me be able to practice with one player, or one-on-one, or
two-on-two, or three-on-three, for example. I'd like to be better with my mid-range
jump shooting, but if I can only practice it with my five attempts per game, that's not
going to cut it for me.
Lay-ups:
Lay-Ups seem to miss too often. This is probably due to something I am not doing right,
as many people claim to lay-up just fine. I do know that I prefer to have a dunker on
a fast break, as it has a significantly higher chance of success for me.
Retention:
There is nothing you can do to tell players that you want them to come back. I would not
mind wasting points to at least see if I could get a player to come back. I mean, it
was pretty rare to see, but the Florida Gators had all of their players to come back for
their second championship run.

There are a lot of good suggestions out there! Hope 2k will definately read all the posts..
For a more realistic game..
Try to emulate the CBS or ESPN presentation in game. Show different stats when the home team take control of the ball for the first time (if in tournemant, the last time they appeared, etc...) Show foul trouble in the course of the game...etc..I pretty sure you get my point...
Just a cheesy comment but..the physic of the net must be like what we saw on 2k6 on first gen console...god..it was a full pleasure to throw a swoosh 3 pointer...
That's all!
The game is going better year after year!! good job guys!

1st - Can the higher seed in a tourney please be the home team?
I am being Army. In the final of the Patriot League Tourney, I was the 2 seed and the 8 seed Navy made it to the final as well. Yet, I was in the away jerseys and listed as the away team.
Again, I am in the second round after knocking off the 5 seed (as a 12) and MTSU was a 13 that also won. Yet, they are home and I am away. This needs to be fixed.
2nd - NCAA tourney pairings. In this tournament there are at least three instances of teams from the same conference playing against each other in the 1st round. This is not allowed in real life and should be made not to happen on the game.
3rd - Maybe there is a way and I'm just not seeing it, but there should be a way to permanantly set subs, timeouts, and late game fouling to manual. This is annoying to have to remember to change it EVERY SINGLE game.
That is all. Other than those couple of things the game is pretty sweet. I'm addicted.

I've played both PS2 and PS3 version... own them both, even.
I think that one thing they haven't gotten right is the whole ballhandler speed thing. Especially on one man fast breaks. It's really hard to catch someone... they need to make it similar to their actual speed not having a center break away for the dunk.
Same with shot blocking. On NBA 2k7 you had to be so careful not to foul someone, but in choops you can practically mug someone and most of the time you don't get the foul. It makes it so that you can jump under the hoop all of the time and you will rarely get a foul.
I like the idea of cutting someone off and the defender poking the ball away, and while it was based purely on position, I think it should require a button press, too, as in you have to be in great position then as soon as you make contact then you hit steal. Otherwise it'd be a foul. Or something like that.
I like the bumping defense, but it is a tad bit unrealistic. It should be easier to flop and take a charge and also be harder to bump without getting called for a foul. If someone is moving forward and you bump them from an angle it should be a block almsot every time.
As always, there are too many dunks. I don't know how they'd fix that, though.
I like a lot of the ideas with recruiting, but I am always a fan of creating players sometimes when I Get bored. I'd like to be able to create a player and make him... say... a high school soph and have him develop over the years then be able to have a shot at recruiting him. Also, I think they should have verbal committs, like dude said. Cept sometimes people should opt out like they always do to go to a better team.
I think they need to make it so that you can be specific when you are recruiting. Like what you talk about on the phone and stuff. I'm always calling up my high ranked recruits after I knock off a great team... like right before signing day. And I want to be able to be like you see that? That's what you'd be getting into.
Lastly, they need to make some sort of a jumping scale so that people who are 7 feet aren't so effective. I've had some 1 star 7 footers and made them play like all stars cuz they get every board and block a lot of shots. Also, it'd be cool to have some 'length' feature where it determines how long a players arms are... because that makes a huge difference in basketball, too.
But it's not all that important. I like the game as it is and if they improve it a little bit next year... fix some of the graphics and lag glitches... then I'll for sure be buying it.
Peace

in college hoops 2k8 it would be tight to have a campus legend mode like in ncaa football 07
gostate0093
May 3rd, 2007, 08:24 AM
First, I would like to say that I love the game. I'm awful at it, but still love playing. A couple things that could make the game near perfect for 2K8.
- Crowd noise/atmosphere- Currently it's pretty good. However, there is a lack of enthusiasm from the crowd when the home team scores. In a real game, there is a distinct roar from the crowd when the home team scores, and it's even louder if it's an important bucket. Often, it seems that there is little reaction from the crowd when the home team scores. Also at the end of the game, if the home team wins, the crowd should cheer loudly- especially in a close game. In one case, I won a home game 59-58 when the other team missed a shot at the buzzer. there was almost no reaction from the crowd. They should have gone nuts because their team just won.
- Also another idea, why not have a ticker occasionally at the bottom of the screen telling the scores of other games? Also in the tournament, they should show the scores of other games being played in the top right corner of the screen, as they do in the real tourney.
These are my suggestions- and overall I think this is a great game.
Thanks.

I want to add more but I just want to chime in. I don’t see that there are too many 7 footers. In real life there are always about 20 all conference level 7 footers. Whats rare are All-Americans 7 footers and there are usually only one a year in the game.

First let me say, Brought this game two weeks ago and can't put it down, agree with many of the other post on this thread, but I got two ideas
1 - Celebrations, yes it's been said before, but college basketball fans can't express enough how important that is to the game. NFL 2K5 did a great job. MLB 2K5 did an even better job, by having celebrations after you win the pennant. College Hoops should follow this model and have very detailed celebrations for the final four and upsets.
2- The Weekly Shows are great, but what would really be fun is for you guys to throw in like a fake MESSAGE BOARD for Legacy teams, and depending on how well your team is doing, you could have fans of a particular college wanting to fire the coach or praise him. Sort of like the newspaper articles from previous College Hoops games, but this time it would be in the form of a message board.
Just some thoughts, keep up the good work, this is by far the best sports game for 2K since NFL 2K5

Scouting: I want to be able to REALLY scout a recruit's high school game, by playing the
game if I so choose. (Just don't allow me to peek at his ratings.)
^ What about actually being able to check out a game tape or watch the game? I dunno about playing it. That seems like it wouldn't really work...
It'd be cool to work guys out a little when they visited campus, though. Be like... hey the guys are shooting around wanna jump in on some 3 on 3 for fun?
You know?
__________________________
The only major improvement I want to see in this game is AI. They have to make the defense smarter. Versus a full court press you can always get an easy shot by just running down the side of the court then going in for the dunk. If the computer has stud defensive players they might cut you off, but then you just hit someone who is wide open for a 3. Swish.
Also, breaking the trap is pretty easy. Easier than it should be in a way, but also harder. They have the whole tractor beam trap thing still going where they catch you even when you're moving by. That's lame. But if you hold in protect ball, and zag in and out staying near the middle of the court, you can break the trap without passing 95% of the time. Of course, you might have to press turbo once in awhile.
There also needs to be a better collision detection system. When people bump, the bigger player should lose their balance instead of just the offensive player. More blocking fouls when you cut someone off. Make it so you can get a block/charge when people aren't shooting/crossing over.
There should be some sort of a shed move, so if you drive hard you can push off like they do... something that requires perfect timing. IF you do it right you won't get called for a foul often, but if you don't then you will get the offensive foul. Same with defense, they need to have back down and position fouls.
Lastly, make it easier to steal but easier to get the foul, too, when you reach you should almost always get the ball, but also almost always get the foul.
ADD PUMP FAKING UNDER THE BASKET! I know this gives way to cheese online, but that's a move that people do a lot. At least some sort of a gather that lets you go up strong that is more realistic than a 360 hop step... which shouldn't be in the game at all. The amount of times people do that move is just... miniscule.
Peace

1) I agree with the need to make inside shooting more consistent & based on players' ratings.
2) Add the Kennesaw State Convocation Center - I can send pix if needed. :D
3) Give schools (not just coaches) the possibility of getting "promoted" to a bigger conference. It happens all the time in college b-ball from low-level to mid-level conferences. So, if you're dominating the -- um -- Atlantic Sun conference for several years, maybe you're offered a chance to join Conference USA (like Central Florida) or Sun Belt (like Troy). If you dominate a mid-major for a long time, maybe you can even get an invite to the big leagues, particularly if you consistently go deep into the tourney.
4) More fouls - I have the sliders cranked all the way up, but rarely does a player even get close to fouling out of the game. Or tie the frequency of foul calls to the time of the game (fouls are called a bit less if you choose 20 min halves, but way more if you choose 12 min halves).
Can't wait for Oh-8!!

A few things;
As a few folks have mentioned, the crowds are a bit sub-par. They get excited and then immediately die down; I felt like March Madness had a much more reactive and responsive crowd.
A weekly update on the team that might include info like a player starting to think about leaving school early would be nice; we should have SOME warning so we can recruit!
In a dynasty you NEED to win banners for National Titles. I really want to be able to look around my gym and see them hanging there!:) Also, keeping year by year stats would be nice. I love the trophy room!

I love Lord Ash's ideas. I would really love to see the banners brought to CH2k8.
Upgrades:
I been asking for this for years.
They need to come up with some type of points or money system and let us use it for upgrades.
Say I start out as a small conference school and have some good success. Good enough to were I would need to invest in a bigger gym. I should be able to 1.) Add more seats to the current gym or 2.) Build a totally new gym from scratch.
Same thing with uniforms and shoes. If I want to change the style of uniform and shoes, I should.

This is what I would include in 2k8. Last season we all watched some of these real life coaches get their dream jobs...so why not include that in next years game!?
Here are some of my ideas... I made it like you are reading the back of the box.
BASKETBALL SEASON NEVER ENDS!
---CAREER PATH MODE --- Getting your dream job has never been easier...Play as a highschool standout all the way up to an AD of your school...Will you be loyal? Or be a romancer?... Have you ever wanted "your own" court? Retire "your own" jersey? Get the megabucks? Now you can!!!
AS A
HIGHSCHOOLER and COLLEGE PLAYER--- You are the "hot" recruit in town. Play your "A" game and recieve multiple scholarships... but if you are "cold" you'll be slipping all the way. Earn a top spot as the best player to come out of your school or just a great team leader.
ASSISTANT COACH--- You don't have the skills to be a head coach? Take a year or two and learn the trenches of recruiting, creating playbooks, building relationships, and anything else your coach asks!!!
HEAD COACH --- Become the best coach your school has ever purchased. You are making the noise now, but watch out! If you are too hot, schools will be offering you a deal you can't refuse. What if "your school"can't offer? Are you loyal? Or will you go to your "dream school"? With multiple relationships of coaches and AD's, you might just get it!
ATHLETIC DIRECTOR--- Retired as a head coach? Gameover? No way! Get picked up at your own school or another. You are in charge of the contracts. Control the media coverage, signing coaches, schedule conflicts, jersey styles, and even arena renovations!!! Perfect for the sim gamer!
---PIPELINE RECRUITING--- Build a recruiting pipeline...not by state but by word of mouth.
Use whatever you have to get your program out there. Make sure your players progress and feel happy and they will help you...even some recruits... AAU Teamates, brothers, cousins, and even their twin! Also, if you can't get that perfect center... no prob! You'll be able to know if they can play multiple positions!
---AAU BALL--- Season over? Not at all! Play some AAU ball to get the feel of your primary targets! Get an early feel if a junior will "commit" or not.
---MEDIA COVERAGE--- Make your school get noticed in the press. Preseason rankings, tournament and conference projections, make the media wrong! Will you just play on the local channel or risk a loss on the national screen? Players are either nervous or immediate "stars." Conference breakdowns during conference play...and will have the chance of Hoops Tonight coming to your school!
---CREATE A PLAY--- Thirteen seconds left. Call a timeout and use your very own play. No more same play over again. Even inbound plays! Use your brain and be creative!
---MONEY and CONTRACTS--- As a coach, you will be given "prize" money. You'll be able to buy houses, cars, and anything else you want. Don't be too greedy...you might have to donate to companies you had "promised!" As a AD, you'll have to control the schools budget. The bigger the school, the more megabucks and vise versa. But watch out! You might have to buy out some contracts!
I might have more ideas...but I can't think of them right now.

Ok so maybe I'm biased but I feel that the 2004 SJU Hawks should be up for consideration as a classic team. The national attention SJU garnered from their perfect regular season along with their Elite 8 run, being 6.9 seconds away from the Final Four should be reason enough to honor the team's accomplishments. The 04 Hawks have a special place in college basketball along with all the other teams recognized. Also in a recent espn.com poll they were recognized as one of the top 10 teams in the last 10 years

Not the only thing, but the EASIEST thing to change:
In practice mode, just have home colored and away colored jerseys with the players' number on it for a practice jersey. It's not that picky; it just looks stupid when you're practicing in your uniform.

I think these need to be put in College Hoops 2K8.
Have the Coaches have a temper rating, Espiecally these Coaches.
Bob Knight,John Calipari, and Bo Ryan. Like there should be a scale from 1-10 and you should be able to ajust the temper rating. Like Bob Knight will be a 10, John Calipari will be like a 7 or 8.5, and Bo Ryan probley like a 6.5 or 7.5. Also,
I remeber in 2K6 that the Pre-Season thing with Clark Kellogg and Greg Gumble. They need to expand that and show some highlights of First-Team All Americans and Second-Team. Also,
If the Ref looks like he made a bad call, like the ball might hit the rim, or the ball might have went out of bounds, or a player got fouled. You should be able to press X or A and make your coach run out on the floor and agrue at the ref, and let your Coach get thrown out! This needs to be done because it will make it more realistic! [Listen 2K Sports!!]
Have all the school's fights songs! This needs to be done because im tired of hearing generic fight songs! I remember in 2K6 that they didn't even have Duke,Memphis,Florida,or even UNC! This is begining to be a major pain...
Make mutiple cheerleaders! They all look the same! Please make some more! Plus at half time, Make the cheerleaders go to the center of the court and dance!!! Please, This would be major cool and really will give the player a real feel of the game!!! [Listen 2K Sports!!]
Instead of still photos, make sure at half time that you make the players have highlights! Like it should be like this, [EX: Like if Greg Oden made a facial. Make sure his name is shown big in the middle of the screen [Instead of College Hoops 2K8!!] Make sure it says his name and make sure there is a highlight!!! Not just a photo!!! [Listen 2K Sports!!]
I'll try to think of some more later but all I have to say is this.
[PLEASE 2K SPORTS!!! IM A FAN OF YALL AND IT WOULD BE GREAT TO AT LEAST PUT ONE OF MY IDEAS!!!]

IM A FAN OF YALL AND IT WOULD BE GREAT TO AT LEAST PUT ONE OF MY IDEAS!!!]
those are all great ideas, and should be added to the game

2K8 Ideas!
~~Invited to Preseason Tournament~~ -- Have your school invited to a preseason Tournament! Like your Midnight Madness or something. Have it so that you can play some exhibition game like on October 25th against some Division II or III. This will be super awesome but it will take 2K Sports forever to put this in but still it would be cool!
~~Players on Bench~~ -- Make the players wear jackets and warmups while they are on the bench. This will give it more feel to the game and will super awesome if 2K Sports but this in. Also while there are players on the bench, let some little kid give them a cup and let it be Water or Gatorade or something and make it look like there drinking it!
~~Players get Checked In~~When you wont to sub a player in, let that player go to the middle of the court and sit there! Im tire of subing in players and all of a suden they just come in and there not in the middle of the court! This will also give the player a better feel of the game!!!
[P.S. Thats all I got!]

[QUOTE=Dougie_Style]This is what I would include in 2k8.
I might have more ideas...but I can't think of them right now.[/QUOTE
That would be good if the had a different game mode called carrer path mode where you could choose what you had want to be. You could be a high school student and get scholarships from different schools depending on how good you are and if you could lead your highschool team to a state championship game. And you were MR bigshot. And they also choose you by your personality. Most people been waiting on a game like this for there entire life. You could be a coach and try to become one of the best ever. And you could by cars and houses but you have to remember to look out for the people that got you there.

I love those ideas.
I posted about the exhibition games against the DII and III schools last year.

First of all I think that the association needs sportcenter. I want to see highlights from other games at the end of the night. On sportcenter at the end of the weeek have the top ten plays of the week.
Second of all, its big but I think instead of 24/7 mode, let's have a Career mode. I know its like NCAA football but its basketball. He can start off by coming through a college career from college hoops 2k8. He can do a high school training camp to find out what schools are interested in him. Pick a school and attend there. If he's good enough he could come out his first year or continue until he is ready to come out. In the game when you are playing with him the camera can be close up on him. When he out the game the computer takes over until he comes back in. Depending on how he plays in the game is how he is seen by the critics. If he shoots to much then in newspaper writers would probably call him a ball hog and says he needs pass the ball more. He has to attend team practice and play in practice. Depending on how he plays in practice is determining his playing time or whether he starts.Basically what i am trying to say is the career is all about your player. I feel this could be a big improvement to NBA 2k bascketball.

In clutch time make the cpu really try to win the game. CPU would be down by 1 in just hold the ball. I want a challenge. I want the CPU to try in hit game winners.

Try to include CBS and CSTV; CBS for big games during the weekend and CSTV for Mid-Majors. Also include the CBS theme music come tournament time and have Gumbel comment on the upsets. It would be fun to see team reactions during the selection show like bubble teams that did/didn't make it.
I'd also like to see more fan interaction, particularly when the crowd erupts during big plays(like sinking a buzzer beater to win the game and 18,000 pairs of fists fly into the air and the whole arena yells "YEAH!!!"). Conversely, if the home team is getting destroyed, have the fans shuffle out with 5-10 minutes left to play.

one thing I wish they had in every sports game, along with this one. Historical stats. I.e. if this kid I recruited becomes the all time leading scorer in Alcorn State History, or my Center at UNC has set a single season record for blocks per game in ACC play, then that would be pretty freaking sweet to get some kind of acknowledgement for it. That would probably take a lot of work on the developers part to make that happen, but at least this player would be eternally grateful.

thats probably the best thing i think they could add in the game. Especially for all the people who do legacies and the people who follow it. Instead of fighting the computer for recruits you have to fight friends now for them. Still have the chance to sim games to actually make it to by faster, but cap it out with 4 people. If you want to get created and for hard core sim fans just let users take over a conference and duke it out. But still have from where you have to climb up the ranks. Then add a college hoop legacy website instead of a NBA league website for all the stats and stuff.
I don't know if this has been said for not before (didn't read all the posts) but i only thing i need them to change pretty much is the shooting animation downlow and the fouling. I think it would be cool as with MLB if you have different sets of ref's in the game. Where some are really picking and stick on calling fouls, while others just let everyone play. For the fouling on shooting down low I would love to see it to be actually a 50/50 call sometimes. I know in the game you can be bumped a little and it runs into a set animation, but if you could use "true motion" or whatever it is called for college hoops and have different sets of animation for when you get hit or bump driving the lane would be sweet. Better if the ref didn't call the foul 100 percent of the time.
Think about being in a game with a minute left and your up by 1. You drive the lane (looking for contact) and find it only to take an akward shot. Only having it clank off the side of the rim since they didn't call the foul. Or you come in and get a body bump in the air to change your shot and again no foul. You watch your player fall to the ground as the action continues the opposite way down the court. Thats the only thing i really want to see added in (other than the crisper passes, the other normal stuff).

True, they need a few off brand guys to work the small and mid-major games.

I like Coach Mode, and think there needs to be more interaction and involvement with what you can do when "coaching."
-->Motivational talks
-->Designate a "go-to guy."
-->Barking directions to your guys on the floor
-->Giving directions to specific players
-->Arguing a call
-->etc...
I also think they need to add a practice mode where you can just run the offense so you can familiarize yourself with the various plays and where your "control guy" is supposed to be within the play.

you can call timeout before the other team inbounds the ball. You have to go to coaching and call it like that rather than just pressing select. And they wont allow you to call it until the player thats inbounding the ball gets out of bounds. but even that needs to be fixed to where you can call it as soon as the ball goes through the net.

Suggestion for 2k8! player career mode
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I believe that college hoops 2k8 should allow you to be a high school player and go to camp and make yourself into a college prospect. Similar to how college football has legacy mode. You should be allowed to play with your player only and make him a big time recruit. You should get scholarship offers according to how good he is. You should get a chance to play in the all american game if you are good enough. You should be able to decide whether to leave early or stay to finish up your college career. then like college football does with madden. you should be able to continue your players legacy or career in NBA 2k8, and go through the draft process with teams inviting you to pre draft work outs. They already have that on the game so they could use it for the player career mode also. I just think that would be a nice addition to the game. The coaching legacy is great but i think they need to add another demension to the game.

A couple of other things that really bug me about 2k7: (I don't know if these things are improved in 2k8, but if they aren't... they need to be for 2k9)
first of all... STEALS are ridiculous. The passing mentality of player is out of control... underhand passes in transition straight into 4 defenders. I turned STEALS and STUFF completely off because if I didn't... the steals and TOs would be COMPLETELY out of control.
When my player get a rebound on defense... I instantly start hitting set a screen until he passes half court... just so he doesn't throw some crazy pass into traffic.
My teams consistently average 30-35 STEALS a game. The next highest maybe 10 or 12. Consequently... TURNOVERS are equally bad... but I've found ways to control it... like the above.
BUT MY BIGGEST THING... IN BOUND PLAYS!!! The other team hits a shot with 5 seconds on the clock and you call timeout... down by 1... you need a good shot. You have to go the length of the court... well... you're guy is standing right underneath the opposite goal... you pass it in... and by the time 4 seconds runs down... he's throwing up a half court shot.
Love to see some alternatives on in-bound plays. Would make so many close games... that more interesting.
Also... would love to see... as a coach... that you could single out guys to foul. You have two guards... 1 is a 80% free throw shooter... the other is a 52%. Obviously you want to foul the 52% guy... so I wish you could tell your guys to foul specific guys.

Oh... 1 more... How about... player personality issues...?? You'd have to watch their mentality and intelligence when you recruit them if they got into ACADEMIC trouble. You'd have to watch them closely and keep them in check... and what about if they have a low rating they could get into trouble with the law or other outside sources.
I know it's silly... but its real and it's real stuff that coaches have to deal with. Could be interesting and could make recruiting even that more interesting. Would make the coaching experience even more challenging.
