Hey, i've just purchased this game and have been playing online... im currently 40-11-4-2 send a friend request to xX FoRTuNe if u want to play.
Anyways, i've decided to start a coaches diary while I start my legacy with NC A&T hopefully working my way up to a huge powerhouse school.
Week 1: (Cuts)
This is one of the hardest days of the year for a coach. Kids that come to tryouts just looking for a chance to catch a break... make the team and hopefully grab a few minutes this year. I had to cut 4 of my walk on players. They just couldn't prove to me that they really wanted to win and they didnt have the fire in their eyes that I need to see to keep them around. It looks like this year could be a building year more than anything considering this is the roster:
# Name Pos. Class Ovr.
#23 S.Vargas SG JR 69
#1 B.Tran PG JR 67
#20 J.Berrelleca PF JR 66
#0 S.Bellairs SF JR 60
#2 V. Van Weerdhuizen SG JR
#3 U. Stapley FR PG 57
#15 G. Morban SR SG 57
#33 G.Worthy SO SF 57
#31 D.Stukes SR SF 56
#21 M.McGrath SR SG 55
Hopefully i can get aquainted with my players and we can start to get down to work... it should be a good developmental year!
Week 2: (Hard Work)
I figured that since we are just getting up and going this week would be a good one to get my players legs back under them. haha, they definately will be able to run the court this year if ne thing else. We went with 2 1 and a half hour sessions all week and I gave them friday off. We have a good chemistry, but an inexperienced lineup which i hope doesn't become to much of a factor. Anyways, we are looking at recruiting world players simply because they are gems hidden in dirt. Nobody knows about them so hopefully we can pick up some high caliber recruits relatively easy.

Week 2: (Off and Running)
Game 1: NC A&T @ Missouri W/OT 55-39
Difficulty: All-Conf.
Time: 7 Min Half
It was a win... not a pretty one but a win. We are lucky that our 3 pt shooting could pick us up at the end of the 2nd half or else we would have lost the opener! The one thing i noticed is how tired my players were getting, i think we are still going to need to condition a little more. Also, defensive player of the game goes to Steve Bellairs who chimed in with 2 blocks and 2 steals, off to a great start at NC AT!
Aggie of the Game: Senque Vargas 17 pts 1 rebound 2 assists 5-11 3pt FG's
Game 2: NC A&T @ Stetson W 35-34
We pulled out another close 1 on the road. It was a total team effort. 5 players scored buckets and it was a good game for our team to come together... we need to work on rebounding as we got outrebounded 25-11 including 8 offensive... We have to work on boxing out this week and we still need to condition more. Well we have another big game tomoro to close out the 3 game week
Aggie of the Game: Bernard Tran 12 pts 1 Reb 2 Assists 1 Steal
Game 3: NC A&T Vs Army W 58-29
Finally our hardwork is starting to show. Army, a school i was also offered a job at could not handle our pressure, we forced 8 turnovers. Also we had our first double-double of the year, Stukes is the devensive player of the game. With 2 blocks and 2 steals 1 of which to start an 11-2 run. Hopefully we can keep this intensity up throughout the rest of the season.
Aggie of the Game: Berrelleca 10 pts 12 rebounds 2 assists

Game 1: NC A&T @ Dayton L 41/52
"There is no way we should have lost this game." sputed red hot coach Gerald Neal, "we clearly were outworked and outplayed tonight." Coach is mad, he has good reason too as his team turned the ball over 15 times! " Stukes needs to get his head in the game, he can't play like this his senior year! We have freshman that are playing better than him right now. Hes gonna really have to show me something next week or ill contemplate sitting his cocky *** on the bench!" Coach clearly upset with this loss, hopefully his team can pull it together in their off week next week. He said that now he is going to concentrate on recruiting and getting his players minds into the game... by the best way he knows, running.
Aggie of the Game: Bernard Tran 9 pts 2 rebs 3 steals 1 block
Week 4: (Off) Record: 3-1

Game 1: NC A&T Vs Longwood W 54-47
Recruiting has not destracted us from coming through with the W. We are hot on the recruiting trail with 3 of our top 5 recruits currently looking at other colleges.
Aggie of the Game: Jeffrey Berrelleca 12 Pts 5 Reb 4 Assists 1 Steal 1 Block
INTERVIEW
Reporter: "Coach how do u feel after that victory?
Neal: "Well it was a good one, those teams that don't have many wins are always hungry for a victory. They are the most dangerous teams out there."
Reporter: "How are things between you and Stukes?"
Neal: "Well Stukes and I had a long, good talk about things, and we've settled all this. All we are concerned about is developing him and after the way he played tonight I can tell he is going to have a huge impact on this team." "He had 5 pts 3 rebounds and went 2-2 from the field, but most importantly he gave us an intensity uplift." "it is always great to have a player like him on your team."
Reporter:"Thank you for your time coach."
Neal:" No problem. GO AGGIES!"
Game 2: NC A&T @ S. Carolina State W 48-34
What a strong vicotry! Against a equally matched opponent. Our press took another victum, we forced 17 turnovers 10 of which in the first 4 minutes. It sure is great to have things going so great so far in my first year as head coach. This is just an example of the extraordinary things to come! Leading all scorers was Brenard Tran with 18, he went an amazing 5-7 from 3 pt land. Our unselfishness is really starting to shine as we are in double digits in assists again with 13. I wouldn't say we have 1 superstar on our team, we have 10 stars!
Aggie of the Game: Bernard Tran 16 Pts 1 Reb 1 Assist 1 Steal

Game 1: NC A&T At New Mexico
Today my players really showed me something. We were phenomenal from 3 point land as usual, but our bench finally stepped it up. 5 of our bench players scored at least 2 points. We are starting to show our true ability on the floor, and many of the players confidence is running high. Hopefully we can pull in some recruits/transfers and next week we can build on the success we are having right now. Next week will be a big test for us as we start a non-conference tournament. This could really help my resmue with a big win

Game 1: NC A&T @ Arizona St. W 41-33
Today was a great day for our program. We got a gigantic win against Arizona St. We worked as a team to beat this golaith of a team. We were undermaned and underskilled but we showed that teamwork can defeat the biggest of giants. Jeffrey Berrelleca may not have the stats people are looking for but he played one hell of a game. He held their star player to a measly 6 points. It was incredible to see the hustle, he really left it all on the floor. Leading scorer again was Brenard Tran with 18 points, 11 of which in the 2nd half. So, one game down in this tournament hopefully we can get the next one too.
