Saving a game in franchise mode

I have 2k7 for the PSP. I can only play for about 20 minutes at a time. This isn't enough time for a complete game. When I am in franchise mode, there doesn't seem to be a way to save a game mid-way through? Am I missing something?

I am able to save the franchise (i.e., season to date and such). Also, when just doing exhibition games, I was able to save the game mid-way through no problem.

I appreciate any help! And sorry if this is a repeat question - I tried searching but couldn't find anything.

i take the lack of responses to be a resounding "sorry dude - you're screwed." ?

sucks that i threw $30 away on this crappy game where all i can do is play HR derby and exhibition games.

you can save a franchise in progress. If you go to operation sports there is a thread that tells you how to do it.
