The servers were down for a while and haven't been that good for a while and I keep getin knocked off. My drops aren't because I cheat. Have some guts to face me and others with alot of drops.[color=darkblue] 8)

The drops aren't a problem for me. It's the quits that steer me away.

yeah drops r bs. I have never quit a game but have 4 drops on games i was winning. Why would someone not play another person who gets screwed by the server? I mean if i saw someone with more drops than games finished i might be suspect but i would say the average person gets 1 drop for every 4 games they play.

If i see someone with a lot of drops i will not play them. I like to play a full game and i hate it when people turn of there box just so they wont get a loss.

a drop effects your rank worste than a loss so anyone who pulls is stupid and can be easily seen by the fact they have NO loses. If they have about 1/4 # of drops than games chances are that the server caused them and they are not to blame.

drops are not a problem on xbox so if someone has a drop it is either their connection going down turning of the box or a dirty disc error.

Ya, I dont care about the records as far as w/l/q/drops. But I do press the select button on the username to find out the basic information I need. For instance, if you have more than 35% 4th down attempts, dont look for me to play you. I look for other sim-ballas like myself. This game is THE best football sim out there now, and I really enjoy playing it. It's just the ones that go for it every 4th that I cant stand playing. Yes I can stop 90% of the conversions, but I play honest and expect the same in return.

i have about 20 something drops all because the sever and my old modem. Got a new 1 not as many now but the odd 1. I have been up in a few games and the damn thing drops sometime its mine other times its the other person. I have played a few very good players on here and got my *** kicked but if they play fair i keep playing and say gg after. I played greyhoundsteve he kick my *** then next time just beat me so the better guys u play the better u get. 5 minute quarters are WAAAAAY to short for tru SIM ballers... The only reason I go for it on 4th so much is to try and get the win. However, if I'm winning by a TD or more with 4th and inches... you better dam well beleive I'm punting the ball away. But if I'm losing or the game is tied, and I've got 4th and inches to go midfield, I'm going to attempt the conversion YO.

I dont play this game for ps2 so I have the luxury of knowing, more or less, that a player with high drops is a plug puller, but I dont really care because... I play for the fun of it, if some one drops that's just a win for me without spending the whole game destroying him/her.

Dayam save the console fanboyism for a different message board. The truth is the xbox is supposed to be and is superior to the ps2 because....um when did it come out? Yes, after sony released their system. So this means microsoft had to surpass the specs of the ps2 or it would've been useless for them to even make a system you NIMROD. I have both systems and have the luxury to play in ONLINE LEAGUES. Oh by the way have you even checked out any of the play by play, and single player stats that they keep in the leagues, it's stupid fresh :lol: !!

I agree. If not for online leagues i wouldnt touch this game. I played in one of those bs 2k3 leagues last yr but it was lame even with a nice attempt to track stats. The REAL ps2 online leagues are so tight its amazing. They are one of the few things sega really did right. You can talk yur xbox trash all you want but the TRUTH is that online leagues are more than enough reason to buy the ps2 version. Check out the stats in one of the leagues. Its great!

DoomShroom, I want disagree with you being sim, and I do have to say there are certain times when you should go for it on 4th. I just have never had to attempt a conversion on half of my 4th downs. My ratio for attempts is about 18%. That IMO, is closer to sim than 49%. Maybe there has been a team or two that goes for 4th every other time, I just have never seen it.
If 5 min qtrs are too short for you, just find someone who will agree to more time. I too, would much rather play 7,8, or even 10 minute qtrs with someone I knew to be sim. Dont worry yourself with winning every game because if you're a simballa, then you are bound to lose a few.

DROPS! i hate them! i have 12 drops in pro and all was from the net droping not me im not a quiter and if i lose its cause that guy was better then me are was better at that time.im 55-6 now in 5th place i was in 1st for weeks tell every 2-3 games i was getting droped and after you get a drop you have to win like 5-6 games to move up 1 slot in the rank.if you dont beat someone ranked higher then you are.the fact is sega has to fix this.the cpu should know if it was you that droped the game are the net that did. crashn28 "GO BUCS!"

Well, since I posted that, my percentage on 4th down attempts has dropped down to 42%.
I'm telling you tho... if I really wanted to I can run out an entire 5 minute quarter on offence (sometimes I do depending on who I'm playing against). So I figure if I can do it, there are alot more peeps that can do this as well. So, if I'm down by 2 or more touchdowns and I'm past midfield with 4th and short... I'm going for it man. Because people know, when they are up by a couple of TDs... they can basiclly sit on the ball for a win.

And trust me... I know that its not all about winning in this game. hell, I havent had a winning record since day one (when I was 1-0, lol)
Right now my pathetic record is at 31-35-1-5. Last night I got dropped 3 times in a row and went from a ranking of 58th down to 71st because of servers failing. I will never drop/dive or will I ever quit... my 1 quit came because of a guy doing a wack onside kick play that worked in his favor EVERYtime.
