I am confused on how to dunk. I know that it says R2 + right analog, but it does not really work for me.

it's R1 + right analog stick when you are close to goal.

I agree with this, you cannot dunk with r2 and R analog stick. it just doesn't work. I have tried it in practices as well in every different way and angle possible.cannot do it.
i was able to do an allyoop (spelling?) somehow. think it was L1 and shoot button

the best way to dunk is the following..
1. Make sure you have a player that has a high dunk rating to get more fancy looking dunks..
2. I switch my controller to config C, I lose the button for crossover but I gain the lead pass button which helps tremendously getting you out on breaks and wide open for dunks.
3. Don't use the shot stick it is too touchy, just hold down turbo aim the left stick toward the basket and right when you get in the paint tap shoot,, your player will go in for a jam.
4. I have no problems with this since I use Carolina, but there are settings you can change to make your players dunk more, a dunking tendency setting in settings, and also a setting that makes your players dunk more if players are in the paint.
5. Alley oops are accomplished by holding down L1 and tapping the pass button when your player has a clear path to the goal, takes practice but I hade my pf leaping from the block with one hand on the oop a couple times..
6. Go into the practice mde and practice timing on dunking and alley oops..
