it is really rediculous that players miss soooo many layups. There's no way that they can think that that is realistic. Also, what is with the rediculousness regarding passing. You cant even make a cross court skip pass without it being stolen. You cant make bounce passes, even with great point guards. Thats annoying!
One last thing, there is no way, not that I have been able to even find, to alley oop! Its not in the books at least.

umm ur dumb you can easly alley oop and corss court passes are really hard in real life u obviously never played basketball befor

I find the amount of missed and made layups to be pretty realistic. If you just learned how to do an alleyoop you dont know how to play so cant say anything about the layups. Making contested layups takes some skill and experiance with the shot stick. It also pays to know who is contesting your shot. One you get that stuff down and know when to drive the lane you will make a good 50-75% of contested layups and draw more fouls unless you are facing a tough shot blocking team.

to alley oop you need to be on a fastbreak with a player on the opposite side of the court where you are driving to the basket.. then you hold L1 and press X....if this doesn't work then just keep trying by holding L1 and pressing X. Its worked for me before
