Is there anyway to see how the infield/outfield is playing my batter. would be nice to know if there is a shift on so i can try to go the opposite way. Any ideas??

If you really feel you must. You can always take a pitch then watch a replay and survey the defensive fielders and alignments for that specific batter atbat.

P.S. I don't feel the thread needed a angry smiley though.. (lol)

I have also wondered the same thing. I guess like darkspace said, try that.

If you look at there center fielder he usually tells you which way the shift is.

By your post you cannot judge the infielders set just by looking at the outfielders set.

Example:
I can set my OF deep and to the right while my infield plays a bunt formation.
