It doesn't really matter how many innings you've pitched, but how many pitches you've thrown. You can get out of an inning on 5 pitches, or you can get hit hard and be wild and have it take 25 pitches. Also, if you're throwing at full intensity every time, that will drain your stamina too. I'd like to know how many pitches you've thrown and how hard you're throwing before suggesting that you need to touch a slider.

i dont throw too many pitches during a inning hardly ever and i never throw at full intensity only usually to stike them out!!

I need to work on this too. I had a game online and the oposing pitcher was still at 50% in the 9th inning. I am usually spent by the 6th or 7th inning. I injured Schilling the other night trying to go the distance (in the 9th inning)

the whole game is messed up. im using Johan Santana, a Cy Young winner, and i bought whatever its called to tell where to pitch to certain players. every time i get rocked for 6 runs on 9 hits or so in the first 2 innings, most strike outs i get with him in a game is 3. but i put some A ball player in and strike out 9 in 7 innings and win. MESSED UP!!!

so dont use Santana then, trade him away and free up some money if you can get the job done with a lesser player.

My pitcher stamina seems to be fairly normal; I am usually at 30-40 percent(%) by the 7th inning.

Alot of it has to do with your pitching coach. What is his intangibles rating? How much time do you have him spend on that rating. the more time you have him dedicate to that the longer your pitchers will last. I notcied the same problem so i got a new pitching coach with a A rating for intangibles. Now i can pitch complete games. Only now it takes 5 times longer for my pitchers to learn new pitches cause his rating is D- for for that rating.

My pitcher always has energy I mean he has 60% of energy at the end of all games and I still take him out for a closer

You look under GM options and then staff and look under available staff and see who you can sign. I think this option is only available in GM and Franchise mode not Season mode.

i see this too. THe whole game seems like its backwards. it looks like they just had some computer nerds throw the game together with no concept about the sport of baseball. Ill bring in Mariano Rivera in the ninth inning with on guy on base and hes composure would be outta control, then he would just blow the game. What is he so scared of i thought he was supposed to be the best closer of all time????

I have also found that if you throw too many of the same pitch in a row the stamina drops faster. I like the Inside Edge for the most part, but the other night I was playing a franchise series between the Sox and Yankees with Papelbon as a Dice-K and the only thing Inside Edge had me throw to Matsui was change-ups. Through the first at-bat Dice-K's stamina had dropped 12 points on 5 change-ups with the 5th being drilled into the bleachers.
