Coach of the Year glitch

Just finished season one as coach of UC-Riverside in legacy mode. I thought my 27 wins and conference championship might have gotten me coach of the year. But I was shocked to see the coach of 10-16 Pacific was coach of the year. They finished 8th out of 8 in the league, and the previous year had won 20 games! I think the sorting mechanism must have been upside down.
The other post-season awards seemed to make sense. (By the way, the selection show was very impressive!)

I'm playing on the 360 and that same thing happened to me. I thought only losing 4 games all year would get it, but i checked all the teams, and i think it was the same as the person who won COY the first year
