I played a game last night against a guy named Bidzilla who was ranked around #30 or so. Well I play all games with Virginia Tech, he played as UNC. We had a great game going, had been a back and forth tight battle throughout the course of the game. Well with about two minutes remaining, I was up by 3 and he started intentionally fouling me, this is where it gets interesting. He proceeds to rapidly press the pause button as I try to take my free throw shots, I'm talking about pressing the button probably 30 times for one free throw. Well with the PS3 six axis controller, there is no way to get a proper rhythm if someone does this to you. Not only that but I just sat my controller down and the shot went off anyways, which I missed of course. This is an obvious exploit of a glitch and goes beyond cheesing, this is cheating plain and simple. He did this for every one of my possessions for the rest of the game, I missed every free throw (and still only lost by 3). It took over 30 mins to play the last 2 minutes of the game. Beware of this user if you run across him in the lobby and do not accept any challenges from him for your own sake.

Do you'll count full court press as chessing? I'm just curious I break it out once someone else does it or if i'm behind in the second half....

naw its not chessing the just want to keep the pressure on and get they only points off that... it would make u mad though if he keeps stealin it but if u can break the press its not chessin

it depends how much where u done by thooo if 25 plus den its chessin

i just consider people that r mostly cheeser are people who only drive the ball... and never shot if you look at en_ferio stats all his points are in the paint.... and i hate ppl who unplug internet cord.

How does any1 play this game online?I try playing it online for ps3 and it is like watching old people **********. It lags so bad.You cant even move.I wish I knew how in the hell to make a decent post move.Every time I post my dude just does a fadeaway jumper or something stupid. The game is decent offline but absolutely brutal online. What is going on with every sportgame having bad lag.I wish ps3 owners could pay for online gaming like xbox live so that at least they make an effort on having good connections. Does xbox 360 live lag? Just curious.

^^ People can just throw over it because every inbounds passer is a QB. heh...

As for cheesing: YOU DON'T GET TO NUMBER 1 WITHOUT CHEESING. Infact, you don't get to numbe 17 without cheesing, either.

Peace

That's not true... I was up to #5 I play straight you can ask the top 10 people online. They'll agree... I play a straight game run an offense make passes play a real game. Now yes most people in the TOP 10 press full games and baseline drives but they don't do quick release 3's and junk like that. But u can get up in the ranks playing a straight game.... I'm proof.
I'll get back i've lost a few games so i'm up in the 40's but i'm usually in the top 20.

What team do you pick?

Maybe it's because you pick a powerhouse team, and just because you think you play straight up it doesn't mean that you do.

I've only played a few games online that were like real games... a few more than were decently realistic. Then the rest were just video games. To me, if you think about it... 10 minute quarters... people should be scoring like 40 points in the whole game.

I've yet to meet any player that doesn't do fullcourt press online. Is there nobody who likes a half court game? I just played a scrub named korver something (don't really remember the full name) and all he would do is fullcourt press and stand in front of the inbounder to steal all my passes. Then on offense, he would do the same thing every time- spin move through the lane and dunk with a big man. People are such friggin cowards when it comes to having a high rank. Not all of them, of course, but a lot.

It's because they don't respect basketball; they just want to win. Not to say it hasn't happened to me, but I guess I learned.

Look at it this way, though, if you play someone and they kill you by cheesing and you say... what's that all about, and they basically make it clear to you that you cant win without doing it... then most people will start cheesing, especially when they know they could potentially be better than these high rank fools who suck but just exploit.

Not everyone cheeses... most people do yes you are right. And in response of what you said no I don't use powerhouses I match up. I mostly like to use Pitt (I don't think they are considered a powerhouse). People do play straight games and don't press.... I only press when being pressed and if I do bring out the press it's because i'm down big. I would rather run a halfcourt offense and look for open shots. Most players abuse the baseline and press all the time. Try to get more run in though before you start assuming stuff.... Play me if you want i'm not scared to lose rank if you feel you are good and play straight up. I think i'm ranked 12 or 14 right now. I'm on at night usually... around 8 or 9pm EST. hit me up. I enjoy a straight game... no 30 3pt attempts, pressing all game and spin moves...
