I bought this game about a week ago and I love it  but im having problems pitching, specifically striking batters out. I started out on Pro but found it too easy so I moved up to All-star and I can pitch decently in terms of runs allowed but I rarely strike the computer out, that is unless its El Duque's turn in the rotation with the eeeephus pitch, any suggestions on how to strike more guys out?

Try 45 for the AI contact.

try to get the first pitch in for a strike down and away
second pitch, try to make him chase up and away, and go away again so the count is 2-1 now go inside with a curve or something offspeed so now its 2-2 go away again.... K

I find that if I aim just off the catchers mitt towards the center of the strike zone that I get more strikes. There are too many times that you hit the mitt and it is a ball. Changing speeds is definitely the key. Last night I got 17k's against the computer. It seems just randomly changing location and speeds keeps the computer from picking up on your tendencies.

I have just the opposite problem in that I struck out 24 batters in my first game ever using all difficulty settings in successive order and it didn't matter. I would like to know how I can make the AI hit lol I mean even a foul ball here and there in my game would've been nice.

I'm also having a lot of trouble striking batters out.
I'm playing with RRBoSox's sliders with a little bit of adjustments. AI Contact is at 10 and AI Skill is at 10.
No matter who I'm facing, whether I'm pitching with Clemens, Igawa, Myers or Villone I can't seem to strike batters out. I'll get the first two strikes easy but I'll try and get the batter to chase the 3rd strike and they seemingly ALWAYS hit it.
Help! :(
