what is a realistic interest level % to start working on 4* or (dream) 5* recruits for Small conf teams?

ie: in closed-carreer.. sometimes you'll find a Freshman 4* whose interest is obviously low, but what is a realistic % to target for those types of players to get a real chance of getting them when they turn SR's?

ie: Freshman PG 4* = 20% interest

will he at least be 100% by the time he becomes a SR for a small-time school? anyone whose been legacies know?

I think the HS freshmen and Soph's interest only increases as your team wins and gains prestige. When they get to be a JR, you can start to work on them with calls and e-mails.

50% seems to be a magic #, though I tend to start with those around 70%. A lot depends on need and location.

With freshmen and soph i start when they are at about 70-75%.This is because for the fr and soph years all you can do is request game tape one time each year.By the time they are jr i want them to be about 82 0r 85% interested in my program.Plus, if you start with them at 20% once a big program sees their proteniel is good they will jump on them.I was at WIU for 3 years and i signed three 4* and and one 5* while there.I jumped on all my recruits early. My first year i didn't even recruit for the first year i started with under classmen on the recruiting trail and it work out because my second year all the jr i pick on my target list were
great players. So,my advice go with player that are at least at 70-75% interested in your program.
