I think every one enjoys playing in the Pontiac Virtual 4 Tourny. I believe its only going to get better as each year goes by. I also think it can go as far as "EA MADDEN CHALLENGE"
This yr. I thought I heard that over 5,000 people sign up for Tourny. Thats good but I think if 2k would have had commercials on major networks ( ESPN, CBS) leading up to the start of this tourny. I think there would have been up to 10 to 15, 000 people registering for Pontiac. (Why were there really no advertisment for Tourny?) With 2x or 3x as many people means extra 10 to 15,000 copies being sold of College Hoops 2k7.
To be honest as everyone knows " Madden Challenge" has a lot of commercials leading up to there tourny. If Pontiac Virtual 4 do not advertise next year I think you will be missing out on alot of money$. The sky is the limit because Men like competition, and I like how 2k gives everyone about a Month to qualify as high as possible. THen in a couple of years with the right advertisment on tv, I think there will be close to 50,000 even more registering for tourny..
Its a win win for everyone. College Hoops will become more popular and the gamers will have even more competition
PS.... I hope you take this seriously about what I wrote.. Just think EA has its "Madden Challenge" and now something they doing for "NBA Live" that be on ESPN
You know what gm will be next....... March Maddness will in introduce some kind of tournament in the near future to compete with the Pontiac Virtual 4 Tourny.
I know to 2k is happy with the turnout this yr, but dont sit back and be satisfied. Take the next step to making this a big event that all gamers will look foward to come Feb-March..
