off the hook crazy good????? first off, you sound like my 58 year old dad trying to sound cool. and second, how do you figure madden will be good, its been awfull the past 2 years. they have yet to show us anything good and fun to play for the next generation consoles.

A game can not go leaps and bounds good in one year (unless your 2k making MLB baseball). With that said, madden will still be horrible...unless they fix their player models, animations, gameplay, features....lets just say the whole ******in game

Madden hasn't been that good since 95' and the year after that was crushed by the gameday series..........madden only lives off of name recognition alone, not the gameplay, presentation or stupid feature gimmicks that EA tries to pass off as something "new"each year.

Because of EA's lazyness, they'll continue to put out the same game every year because they know people who really don't now football will buy it regardless.

Thank god we have a choice now......

i will be getting 2K8, but i also think that when 2009 comes around that Madden will finally get good because there will be competition and they will have to work hard to be the best. i still think that 2k9 will be better though

yea madden was bad on xbox and ps2, the grapchics got better on the next gen, but it was still a poor game. in game. and gameplay. ALL PRO FOOTBALL 2K8 HERE WE COME. i got xbox 360 and cant wait for it.

And if this game doesn't have the glitches or isn't lacking in updated features Madden is in trouble.

That to me will be the key.
Features and Quality.

Don't do what Sierra did with its All Pro 99 version of its football game.

While we are buying 2k8 the poll would be better served after both have been reviewed at the very least. Just my opinion.

I wouldn't say madden would be 'crazy good' because the last two Madden installments have been garbage so saying it would be 'crazy good' is just pure speculation.....

In reference to APF2K8, I don't really see how one can say this game will be good as well because nothing really has been confirm? I was hopeful for this game when I heard something about playing with the old timers...Playing with guys like Payton, B. Sanders, or Marino would've been great; but I've since heard that may not be true...So playing with a bunch of no-names would undermine its authenticity...so with nothing confirm, would also be pure speculation...


Note: 2ksports have done a great job with their next gen sports games, like MLB and NBA, so I wouldn't bet against them..On the other hand, EA sports has went complete south with their next gen titles...

Ill be getting both if madden 08 is on the regular xbox.. the 360 version was just TRASH... I perfer the xbox version... i hope they still making it for xbox

I think madden 07 was a fair game on the xbox.Though I coud'nt get with those stiff ***** controls.2ks runnin game is phenominol so I expect the "highlight moves" to stretch the imagination . I cant buy next gen madden bcuzz I need the ability to edit player attributes

games, and I know this because my brother went there to buy College Hoops 2K7 and

couldnt find it so he asked the guy for it and he asked 5 times do u mean march madness

and he said no 2K7 so the guy gets out his key opens a drawer under the counter and

gives him the game. What kind of BS is that?

I agree, but it is called sales
EB offers the preorder ability and they know Madden sells and pretty much is exclusive.
Madden getting that license deal also made it more consistent, so they are use to this hype this time of year.

I went into one to ask about Elite and I mentioned how I'm only buying one because of 2k8. THEN he told me about the preorder.
Madden has the license so it is going to appeal to the younger crowd that comes in there and that is where they get their sales.

That might change as soon as 2k8 gets a preview published. Especially if it gets a really good rating.

Dude This is a no brainer , we all know the answer. and if people think other wise they shouldnt be on this forum, they should be on forums about madden. im so pumped up about this game. i remember being at EB games in 2005 purchasing a copy of espn 2k5, and being told they werent going to make anymore. then found out the NFL rights had been locked up cos of madden, so i had no choice but to sit in denial playing that sh**. then found out theis game is back from the dead. madden is going to be dreading the day this comes out. MADDEN ITS OVER BABY, ITS OUR TURN NOW, ALL PRO FOOTBALL 2K8 HERE WE COME.
