ratings change during game?

Am I imaging, or do the players ratings change during the game?

seems like my guard's player card shows his overall rating at 68. In the game it shows 70 at the start, and may even rise to 72 at times. would this represent who has the "hot hand" at the time and thus be worth checking?

I noticed it because my team is mostly 60-69 rated. But when I went to the substitute screen, I saw a lot of 70+ ratings.

you did see that....its great your guys go up like 6-7 points in a lot of stuff. like when using oregon #25's dunk and 3pt rating will both go up to 99 if you are having a good game.
