job offers from power conference schools

Does anyone know if it is possible to get a job offer from a power conference school while at a small conference school? do you need to go to a mid major first?

you can get offered right outta the small conferences, but you'll have to wait until you get enough prestige to get it. Usually you would go to a mid-major first because they will get you up the ladder quicker, but it is possible to get offered while still in a small conference.

I fully expect to get offered a power conference job after this season and my rating is a B.

In my three seasons at WIU i got offered one power conf job.that was because someone was retiring,but i would go to a mid major first.That is because once you get to the power conf recruiting is alot harder.One because at a small school if you are running thing you can get at least one 5* player if you go at him hard,but at a power school if you are not at least a b+ or better you still will only get acouple of 4 star players.In power conf you need 5* players to win games.
