I completely forgot what sports title it was (it may have even been madden) but there were some cases where some injuries were career ending. I remember in one of my franchises seeing t hat Ahman Green was out for his career because of a neck injury. I also like it when i get my top wide out or running back injured (i dont hope for it, but i like the challenge).
With the exception of football, but in many 2k titles, nba, college hoops, no one ever gets injured. And if they do get injured, they still play the games....kinda unrealistic.
And this is kinda off topic from this thread, but what do you guys think about running back by committee? I think it would be cool to be able to set a % on how many carries a RB gets, or RBs automattically switch on different offensive possessions....

2K5 did have a thing where you could place players where you wanted based on sets and formations, but the percentage idea might be cool too.

I have no problem with injuries. It is part of the game.
I remember playing a person a series where we started the backups.
The only way you could use a star player was after an injury. More people should spend time with their backup players and maybe we wouldn't see the drops as soon as a Peyton Manning or Mike Vick is hurt.
I like the idea of setting a percentage as long as you can override it in case you hit that percentage at a time you don't want to substitute.

i remember i had one of them maddens on sega and greg whinstrom got injured for his career. it was like his 2nd season. that blew me away. i also remember thurman thomas damn near scoring and he fell an fumbled, i picked the ball up and ran. when the play was over injury report said he tore his acl. that was crazy too. but somethin i think they should mos def have is when players come back from injury or play injured, u should see it. if they hurt they knee, they should have a knee brace on. arm, bandage, whatever the case.

yeah i remember exactly what your talking about. thats what made espn nfl 2k5 so cool. i remember once Cornelius Griffin Formerly of the New York Giants (Now Washington Redskins) had a career ending injury. and the other thing that was great was when a player was considering retirement you could lure them out. Madden series sucks because it lacked so many features that the old 2k nfl games already had. like the current madden still doesnt have all the stuff that espn 2k5 has. Thats why i cant wait to see whats in ALL PRO FOOTBALL 2K8. even thought there isnt real teams.
