most 360 and ps3 games have the same graphics

I went to eb games the other day to buy a new system and the guy who worked there told

me that the games like NBA 2K7 and MLB 2K7 have the same graphics on both the ps3

and the xbox 360 because they make the game for the weaker system, which is the xbox

360 and port it over to the PS3. They do this to save time and money for the company

and also to get the games out in time for release, whicxh is the reason why the xbox 360

versions always come out before the PS3 ones do. All game companies do this so unless

you buy a game made by sony or only for the ps3 then the graphics will look the same on

both. A game made by sony or only for the PS3 gives the developers time to make the

game look as good as they can before release. This is also why Halo looked better than

any other game out. If they made it for the PS2 also then it would not have as good

graphics. this is alos why the 2k sports games are not being made for the wii.

How long did it take you to figure this out?

And in all actuality the 360 is not really far behind the PS3 in terms of gaming power. They both have their plus and minus'.

I knew it for a while but just wasnt sure if it was true until someone else said it also.

i finally bought a ps3 and it's very nice, my only problem is the lack of games hopfully soon more and more games will come out.

well it a sense that is right but the main reason for this is because 360 came out first not because they make it for the "weaker" system first. by next year games that come out for both 360 and ps3 will come out the same day unless developers are still having trouble with developing games for the ps3.

the reason the graphics are the same (besides to save time and money) is probably not to dissapoint fans(atleast i always felt this way). say all-pro for ps3 had better graphics and more modes just because "the ps3 a so powerful"(quotations because thats what people have said about it but it hasnt been proven yet), as a 360 fan a would be ****ed at 2K because i payed the same money as a ps3 owner but got the short end of the deal. in time games that are on both systems might be a little graphically better on ps3(like xbox to ps2) but its unlikely that there would be a huge difference.
