Hello all,
My name is Coach Sanders I am the current coach of Wisconsin.Prior to comming here i started out at Westeren ILLionis( 2 NC,3 conf champ,3conf touney champs). From there i moved on to Santa Clara(3 NC,4 conf champs,4 conf touney champs) and then i signed here.I am in my third year as head coach and look forward to many more happy seasons.I have been playing legecay mode now for about 9 years going into my tenth. At Wisconsin so far i have won one NC(second year) 2 conf touney champs and have yet to win the regular season crown. There are some tough teams in the big ten.I have been reading the different post here and like how you guys share info to help each others game.I to have place some comments on people threads.I just wanted to start mine to keep you guys and girls aware of my team workings.I will use the different styles i have seen to write things up.this was just a brief summary more to follow.I hope people are interested in mine.

Ok,i just finished a great second season at Wisconsin cap off with a conf touney win and i won the NC.I basically walked right thru the first 4 rounds getting bad teams. The one twist to this years title run?I faced my old school Santa Clara in the final game. They were leading the
whole first half. Then in the second half my team woke up.I won by 16 which was really disappointing and thrilling at the same time. Why because the players for Santa clara was the last group of recruits that i had brought into that program.I felt bad that they wouldn't get a chip on there way out because of me,but i was happy for my new team. That is because in my first year we lost to DUKE in the final four by 12.i wanted them to get a ring to show my style of play will bring alot of NC to Wisconsin. Now to bring you up to current
my AD has already made my new schule and boy is it a tough road.I have Vill,UNC and Az all in the first week of play.all of those teams are in the top ten.I am currently rank 7.I will post my players and schule tommorrow morning.Hope you guys follow mine.Plus i lost my top three underclassmen to the NBA this year.

Hello all My name is Ken Smith and i am here today with Wisconsin's third year Coach Albert Sanders. This is Coach sanders first interview with anyone since taking over for BO Ryan. Just a little history on this great coach if you haven't heard of him:He is from Newark.Nj where he played his prep basketball at Essex Catholic high school in East orange. From there he went to Shaw Unversity to run the PG spot for the next two seasons. He ended his third season there with a torn ACL which ended his college career.at that point he finished school and became an *** coach to keith walker..Who help mold him into a proven winner at the college ranks. So,far he has proved his worth at Western Illnios(07 - 09) in which he won the National championship twice and made it to the elite 8 before moving on.then he made his home at Santa Clara (09-12) posting his first 40-0 season. At Santa Clara he won the national championship three times!!! Do you hear me people three times! The lst time that happened was in 67-73 by that great UCLA team. Now he is here taking BO ryans old home and making it a place where all the top players in the nation want to come. Now in his first two years he has made it to the final four and won the National title once with a great cast of players.this year is more of a re-building year as we call it,but he doesn't see it like that.now with no more to say i give you the man with the quote:Defense wins championships and offense wins games.coach Sanders welcome to the show!
Coach:Hello Ken.
reporter:hey, coach what do you plan on doing here and for how long?
Coach:I plan on bring the same type of talent into this program as i did at my other two programs.I love to win and want to bring a winning team to Wisconsin.i plan on being here as long as the wisconsin fans want me here.I know with bigger programs the fan expect alot more out of you and i plan on giving it to them.
reporter:That all sounds good, but do you think that it will be hard to recruit here?
coach:No,i feel that the majority of players want to go somewhere they will get good coaching.I feel my staff and myself can provided that right here.so,far we haven't had any problems with bring the players in.Look just last year the number one recruit in the country came to Wisconsin(D.Mance) and a great 5* recruit in H.Moss as well. That gave us size and shooting. Now this year we got a 5* world player,2 high school all-american
and a 4* PG.All of which are playing big minutes for us already.Next year team will have another great recruiting class(with 3 all-americans and two 5* players, and 1 4* player).
what more can you ask for. This is a big time program and i am happy to be here.
Reporter:do you think with bring in all this talent there will be a problem? You know with not alot of playing time?
Coach: No,with how i recruit i let them know the style of play we do here.If they like it they come if not they go somewhere esle.I play the best ten players and i press the whole game so everyone gets the amount of time they should. As a starter you can get about 12 minutes per game.2nd unit gets about 8 minutes a game.Up to this point i have never had any unhappy players so i guess they love this style of play.No one on the team avgs over 8 points.Meaning we have well balance scoring.i have sent 24 players to the NBA,i have coached 2 all-americans and 25 all-conf players. So,what can someone conplain about.
Reporter:Finally, coach because we are running out of time. What do you expect out of this team this year?
Coach:Well that is a good question.I saw in the paper this morning where alot of you feel this is re-building year for us,but we don't see it like that.We go out every game and play hard for 20 minutes.expecting to win that game and the game after that.We are 9-1 and have play the best teams in the country.all who wee ranked when we played them.i know it's not easy to rebound after losing three NBA draftees, but we are moving on.The recruit that have come are playing good basketball right now and will hopefully keep it up.We do have acouple of seniors on the team to help bring them along.I see us making it deep into the NCAAs to reward our seniors for all their hard work.If not we will retool and be back at it next year.
So you will be back next year?
Coach:I am not going anywhere for the next 10 to 15 years.i plan on turning Wisconsin into the UNC of the Mid-west.
This is Ken smith I would like to thank Coach Sanders for stopping by today and talking with us.i look forward to next week show when he will let the cat out the bag about the early commitments he has already recieved.Wisconsin from what i hear has alot of young talent comming in again next year.making this a program to watch out for come touney time.Wisconsin's next game is agaisnt a Nicely put together 17 rank Texas A&M team. Which has stolen some of the players headed to Badger Country so you know this game is to show them they picked the wrong school.Ken smith signing off: Remmeber if the badger
didn't win it who really did!!!LOL!

40-0 is a crazy season. Maybe you should play it the other way around. Sim ranked games, and play the ones that aren't. Or at least move it up a level so that you lose some games.

I only play 10 minute halfs. and i play hard defense, but this team is missing alot of my three point shooters from last year.they all went to the NBA after, their jr year.I don't care about scoring as long as we get the win.

today the Wisconsin badgers start their Big ten Tourney and have grabbed up the number one seed.they go into this as the overall favorite to win it all for the third year in a row.the Badgers have posted a 26-3 record overall and a 14-2 mark in the Big ten.Losing to Michigan State(32-36) and 6 Illinois (29-37) in back to back games.this was the first back to back loses for Coach sanders since he was at WIU.Many thought he was in touble after those games.if you remmeber that is when sophmore D.Mance went down with an injury for 5 days. The team responded and righted that ship quickly before thing got out of head.they are the conf champs this year and this is the first for Coach sanders here at Wisconsin.stay tuned because this will be a wild weekend here in Wisconsin.Illinois players are very upset about losing to the badgers this year and hopes to derail the defending Big ten touney champs from last year.

WOW!This is something many thought couldn't happen in a power conference. All claimed that when Coach Sanders left the WCC he could not go to a power conference and win the Tournamnet year in and year out,but look at what has happened.Coach Sanders and his team have made history right here in their own gym becomming the first team in Big ten history to win three back to back conference tournaments. They beat Ohio State(39-35) in the first round and then knocked off Michigan State(37-25) in the second.Basically, getting revenge on a earleir season lose to Michigan State. That set up a battle between Purdue and number 1 rank Wisconsin. In which the Badgers won by only 4 points(29-25) giving them their third title in three years. The MVP of the tournament was M.Kole.Mr.Kole scored 11pts,4 rebounds,5 blocks to lead Wisconsin by Purdue. The freshmen All-American D.Bradford even lead the team to a win in the tournament with 9 points,6 rebounds, 1 block. As the team prepares for it's third straight NCAA bid, and second straight title hopes are high.

The team has felt all year they haven't been getting the respect the deserved. One they have been ranked number 1 for the last twelve weeks.Second, they have won their conference tournment for the last three years without fail.Plus, they did all of this without a big time SG as they normal have.Well wisconsin you have been marked as the number 1 overall seed in the NCAA tournment ganishing you the respect you cried about from the media. What are you going to do about it?That question was presented to Freahman PF D.Bradford.He responded by stating,"With them giving us that honor we have to go out and show we deserve this."Coach sanders stated,"With that behind us now we can just focus on playing great basketball and see where this ride leads us.Looking at the backets there are some tough teams we may have to face, but we are ready.'All eyes are fixed on Wisconsin what will they do?

well we are here again with Coach Sanders and he will outline who will be this years starters.
Coach: Well after, meeting with acouple of players on this years team it has been set up that we are one of the deepest teams in the country. Some of the players who weren't starters last year will step into a starting role.
Ken:coach which players are you talking about? With such great players comming in and no underclassmen leaving what spots are open?
Coach:see with our PG,SG,Center leaving we have three spots to fill. So,my assts., and i felt why not start 5 all-Americans.
Ken:what?5 all-americans on one college team?
Coach:Yes,if you have been following us you see we have five all-americans on our rosters.4 that i have brought in myself and one that had singed when i first got here .That was a player Coach Bo Ryan had already signed.
Starting Five:
PG Ime Feiton 80 freshman, 6'4 SG F.Gale 78,sophmore,6'9
SF D.Mance 86 junior, 7'1 PF D.Bradford 83,sophmore,7'2
C T.Troester 83 SR, 7'1
2nd Unit
PG D.Flowers 71 freshman,6'4
SG J.Boyden 75 freshman,6'5
SF R.Hines 73 sophmore,6'11
PF H.Moss 78 Junior,6'10
C D.faulk 73 freshman, 6'11
reserves:
Pg J.Heinen 69,sohpmore,6'3
Sf P.Olamo, 58, sophmore walk-on,6'7
Red-shirted
Wallace Lyons,freshman,70, 6'10
Do you see how deep we are. With only one senior everyone could come back after this season.I know some may not,but this is going to be a great ride this year.
Ken:Well coach sanders i would like to thank you for that preview of your team.I wish you luck on the up comming season.

Hello all, this is Ken smith with your update of what your badgers are doing. They have been on the recruiting trail hard as of late with the early signing period approaching.they are trying to close the deal on another great recruiting class. With three all-Americans on their list.the only problem is there is only 2 scholarships to give.they need a PG and Center, but Coach Sanders has another idea in mind.so, with no delay here is the list of 4 propests:

What a blow to the back to back National champions this weekend. They were riding a 18 game winning steak dating back to last years lost to Michigan State in the regular season. The team traveled up to Iowa to battle a very tough Iowa State team lead by Senior small forward O.Pressly.Who has been nothing but outstanding for the Cyclones so far this year posting big numbers on some of the most elite programs thing year.Well,as of last night you can put the Badgers on the list of teams who have lost this year to this up and comming program. This Badgers teams which alot of coaches around the country feel has a great chance of repeating for the third straight year looked very bad.Turning the ball over 27 times and shooting a season low of 24% from the field. We are not even going to release how bad they did from behind the 3 pointline.Final score of this game was very low due to great defense being played. It's just that with all the talent on this team no one could get it going.F.Gale tried to help his team out by scoring 10 of his game high 14 in the first half, but when Iowa State came out in the second it was lock down time.Iowa state came at Gale with a box and one and even a double team when he was in the post.holding him to 0-8 shooting in the final period.he scored his final four points on the foul line. The final score was Iowa State 43 and Wisconsin 34.Giving the Badgers the first lose of the year.D.Mance was asked about his subpar perferomance.Putting up 6points and grabbing only one rebound in 14 minutes of play.He responed by saying,"I don't know what happened we were feeling good in shootaround, but could not get open shoots."Coach Sanders added,"It's ok that we lost last night. It showed our young players that the win isn't just going to be given to us.We have to come ready to play at all times.Every team in the nation is gunning for us.So,we have to be ready for their challenge."
Final score:34 to 43
Team leaders:
F.gale 14 pts,3 stls
D.mance 6 pts,1 rebound,3-10 FG
Iowa state:
O.Pressly 11 pts,4 ast,3-3 from 3's
G.Rice 4 pts, 7 rebounds

After, comming off the first lost of the season with a young team you never know how they are going to responed. With this Badger team you do know they are going to come out ready and willing to give their all.Coach sanders has drilled his team all week about it's play agaisnt Iowa State. He went as far as to tape the score everywhere in the Badgers home locker room as a reminder.Making the players upset that the score read what it did.Up next the team faced 17 ranked Texas Tech. This game was played at home meaning that the fans were on the badgers side. This game was over before it started!!!The Badgers jumped out to a ten point lead and never looked back.
FInal score: 9 Wisconsin 58 and 17 Texas Tech 43
Team leaders:
D.Mance 12 pts,4 stls
Ime Feiton 16 pts, 8 stls
Texas Tech:
T.Kelley 9 pts, 3 rebounds
J.Whitted 4 pts,10 rebounds

WOW! After, losing the team turns on the after burners and just blows the compatition out of the gyms.First they started with Texas Tech giving them their first lost.Up next was the Windy City Invitational where the other teams had no chance at all.Coach Sanders stated that his team was focused on this tournament all week and looked to make a statement with it's play.
First round they got Alabama A&M beating them handly 48 to 32 with the bench playing more than half the game.D.Mance lead all scores with 9 pts and 4 rebounds. At PG Ime Feiton had 8 pts and 6 rebounds in 8 minutes of play.In the final the team contunied to show that it was more focued than ever playing Hampton.Final score Wisconsin 53 to Hamptons 38.This game was won by the inside play of D.Bradford who score 10 pts and grabbed 8 rebounds.Along with D.bradford fellow starter Ime Feiton had 10 pts,2 rebounds, and 3 ast.Giving Wisconsin it's 5th straight pre-season tounrament chamionship.Coach Sanders stated that he was under the impression that it would be better teams involed with this tounrament and stated that his team would never play in it again, but he thanked the host for inviting his team.

Today, i am jointed by the Head coach of the Wisconsin Badgers.Excuse me the now ranked number #1 Wisconsin Baders. Hello, Coach Sanders how are you?
Coach:I am fine and thanks for having me.
reporter:You know we save a weekly spot for you coach.Hey,you team is playing great ball this year. Are you surpised?
Coach:I would be lying if i stated i was,but i am not.I expected us to do good things this year with the talent we have here. The one thing i am impressed with is how easy Ime feiton has made the change from a SG to a PG.Usually,it takes a player acouple of seasons to really understand his new role, but he has stepped up to the plate and handled his business.Which has shown us his effort and willeness to win. That along with the play of D.Mance has help to carry us to where we are right now.
Reporter:Where are you guys going?
Coach:At this point i cann't say because there are alot of good teams out there.I can say that we will be around at the end of this season.Hopefully, doing what we did last year if not back to practice to start all over again.
Reporter:Unh,that sounds good.any news about your recruits?
Coach:Yeah,at this point we have just passed the early signing period and no one has signed with us.Both players we offered the scholarships to signed somewhere else.I was so hurt i didn't care where, but don't worry because where ever they went will play us next year.Believe that we will blow them out of the gym for that.
Reporter:so,what are you saying coach? Is there any All-Americans or Mr.basketball comming next year?
Coach:I am sorry to say no.We have our eye on to great players right now. Both are at about 95% interested in the program and offers have been made to them. So,with that said we are just going to wait and see what happens.we are not hurting for players with only one senior on the team.we can take a break from bring players in.we have two great 5* talents on red-shirt this year.so,any spot that needs to be filled will be filled. We have done it before and it's nothing new to us.
Reporter:Finally, coach i know you have to go.Has that early season lost hurt the team any?
Coach:No,we know their is someone that can beat anyone on any given night. It's what you do after the lost.Does that lost hurt our chances of getting into the NCAA.No!! All it does is show us what we need to improve upon.My boys are focued more now than ever and i thank IOwa State for that.If i was Iowa State i wouldn't want to met the Badgers in the NCAA's.
Reporter:Why?
Coach:I don't want to say,but it's a entirely differerent team from that early lost.they are more focued and treating each game like it's the NCAAs.Meaning no games are being played for fun.they are being played like it is war.so,for any team left out there for us to play get ready for WAR!!! LOL
Reporter:Well you heard it here first the Badgers are mad and on the map.Get ready America it's going to be a rough season ahead. This is Ken Smith saying good health and reading to all.

when you play a tough schedule against mostly ranked teams, you should expect to take a few on the chin, but those games prepare for the bigger challenges ahead (like the Lady Vols this year, you should be primed come tourney time).
GOOD luck in your conference schedule

April 24th, 2007, 07:29 AM
Hello, Big ten fans out there we have some great action lined up for you this year. The Badgers who look to repeat as the Big Ten Champions for the 6 year in a row is up again. The Badgers who in the last six year have become what we like to call the Duke of the Mid-west.They get alot of the nations best players to sign and are well in the mix of things when the NCAA touranment rolls around. This year like last year the Badgers go into the Big Ten touranment as the number 1 seed. With Michigan State close on there heels at 10-6.Both played good games this year with Wisconsin winning the only game they played each other.Michigan State would love to met the badgers in the title game to ensure them a spot in the NCAA's this year with them on the bubble,But before we can just place these two teams in the final they both have alot of work to do.First,up for the Badgers is a very dangerous team in Iowa who alot of people thought would be a surpise team in the Big ten this year, but they never lived up to the Hype they recieved early in the year.
#1 Wisconsin 34 vs Iowa 32
The game was tough, but with great play from D.Mance and D.Bradford in the second half the Badgers got out of the first round.Next,up was Purdue who featured the Third top scorer in the conference in C.Dowdell.
#1 Wisconsin 33 vs Purdue 23
As you see even with the scoring machine in C.Dowdell the Badgers where to much for Purdue. In this game it was a total team effort.Defense was applied from the beginning and
it was never let up on.Which lead to a easy victory and put the Badgers in the title game for the 6 time in 6 years.WOW!!!
This lead to a match up no one saw comming. The team that stopped the 1 and 2 matchup from happening.Minnesota who defeated Michigan State 40-32 will play the Badgers.Minnesota who got into the tounranment as the number 8 seed and has a overall recond of 17-13 looked very good.they played team ball and showed that they could play with anyone. As Minnesota looks to try and derail the Badgers it doesn't look to good for them.Losing both games this year to Wisconsin by a combined point total of 25.Well we will have to see what happens.

Pre-game show
Hello, out there this is Ken Smith here with Coach Sanders of Wisconsin.Who tonite looks to make history here in Wisconsin. This team is trying to break a recond set by Michigan State in the early 90s with 6 Big Ten touranment championships. There have been acouple of teams to come close in the past, but none have step up and finished what they started. With this team thought it's hard to believe they cann't do it.Coach Sanders what is the team thinking right now? Are they focused on the record or getting the win?
Coach:Well Ken we are focused on the game and what we need to do to beat this very talented team in front of us.They have made their way here by playing together and look very good doing it.This is a team playing with nothing to lose in Iowa and that in it's self is a very dangerous thing. The record if we get it we get it.If not we had a great run at reaching for it.My team is just enjoying the ride right now.
Ken:that's all good coach! Are we going to see alot of pressing out here tonite?
Coach: i don't know ken i guess you will have to want and see.
Ken:Well with that said it's time for the game.Who will be the victor? Will history be made tonite or will Minnesota punch it's ticket to the NCAAs.
#1 Wisconsin 66 vs #8 Minnesota 43
Team leaders
D.Mance 18 pts,8 reb,4 stls
A.Sanders 16 pts,1 ast,8stls
Minnesota
T.Powell 13 pts,1 stl,1blk
E.Brady 9 pts,2 reb,4 ast
WOW! History has be made here tonite and i got to see it first hand.We are witnessing a powerhouse taking success to another level.I have never seen a team come out so focused on the task at hand. The Badgers a great defense team forced 38 turnovers and didn't allow any offense rebounds. You talk about being prepared for a game lets just look at the stat line:
Fg% Wis (46%) 28-60 Minn(58%) 17-29
3pt% Wis (50%) 3-6 Minn(16%) 1-6
ft% Wis (46%)7-15 Minn(88%)8-9
*** Wis (7) Minn(10)
Total rebounds Wis (22) Minn (20)
Points in paint Wis(36) Minn(24)
Bench points Wis (20) Minn(9)
Second chance points Wis(14) Minn(0)
Fast Break points Wis (16) Minn(14)
As you see from ths stat-line the Badgers almost made as many shots as Minnesota took for the game.I blame that on the poor ball control by the Gofers(38 TO).they played themselves right out of the gym.I tryed to get a word in with Coach sanders, but he was tied up at the time so i spoke with D.Mance(SF).
Ken D.Mance what is going on with this team?
D.Mance: We are playing great basketball right now.Tommorrow isn't a given anymore.Every game is a most win or go home. So,the team is ready for who ever we
have to match up with.We wanted to come out and send a message that it is touney time
and if you get us you are going to get a game.
Ken:send a message? What do you mean? Are you saying you guys are also going to win the NCAA?
D.Mance:well i don't have to say much.If you look at the record we have posted since i have been here you know what's in store for us.I have yet to see how it feels to go home early in the NCAA.Coach has always had us ready to play anyone.we watch hours of game
film to learn about our match-ups.that's how we know what to do and who they are going to go to in the clutch. You need more than one star to beat us.we are a very well round
team with alot of weapons.when you play us you don't know who will step up.So,if you get us be ready for anything.Just a little advice for you our teams out there.
Ken:before i let you go D.mance.any predictions for the NCAAs?
D.Mance:Yeah,go ahead and put our names on it we are comming to get our award!!!
Ken:Unh,is he right or will he find out how it feels to watch the rest of the touney from home?

Hello, again this is Ken comming to you live from Badger hall in which a press conference has been called by the Maxi macklo the Ad here at Wisconsin.
Maxi: first i would like to thank all the local media for comming out today for our press conference.I know in the last couple of days alot of news about who will be leaving to go pro
and who will be coaching next year has been leaked out.I would like to take this time to let Coach sanders address these issue.
Coach:hello, Yeah i have been hearing many different rumors about me leaving this program that has grown into a real powerhouse. My staff and i have worked extra hard to bring in the best talent in the country since we have been here. And now that we have gotten the program to where it should be may feel that we are going to leave. That is not the case i plan on being here for a very long time as i stated before.i have signed a new deal with Maxi to keep me here for at least two more seasons. So,Wisconsin we have alot more games to win and players to bring in.Go,Badgers!!!
Ken Smith: Coach, what about the rumors of four stars leaving to enter the draft? And one of those players is said to be freshman stand out A.Sanders?
Coach:Ken i don't know how you do it,but you seem to be a fly on the wall.Yes,that is true.
This year we will be re-building on a great class of talent we had here.Four players have thrown their names into the NBA draft. All had come to me after the season and stated they were interested in going to the next level.Freshman SG A.Sanders is one of them comming in doing what he has done will make hima for sure lottery pick and he doesn't want that to past him by.The other players are Jr SF D.Mance,Soph PF D.Bradford and SR
C T.Troester who has had a great 4 year career here.all of these players have proven themselves already on this level and look to do great things on the next level.I don't have the rules like a Bob Knight in which my players have to graduate. If they want to leave to go to the pro's all i can do is offer advice, and if i don't think they are ready i tell them that.
With the four of these players three have proven that their isn't anything left on this level for them.so,it's time to go and embrace the NBA.
Ken:coach that's great,but what about the program?
Coach:We are in great shape with the return of starter F.Gale who is an all-american and Flowers(Sg) that provided a great punch off the bench.Plus we have two great recruits comming in.So,i don't think we are going to miss a step.
Ken:who are these recruits?
Coach: at this point we have only signed two recruits and they are as followed:
Tommy Gadson,SF,6'9,252,4*,chicago,Ill,,b-,b-,b,a,b+,b-,b+,pot avg.
L.Bona,C,6'10,220,4*,detroit,MI,a-,a,a-,a-,c+,a,b+,pot avg.
Mix those two players with what we have comming back and you have a great team.
Ken:Do you think your team will be able to do what they did the this year?
Coach: I am confidient that we will have a great year.that's all the time we have today. We will see you at our mid-night madness game thank you all for comming out.
This is Ken smith saying we will see what will happen next season.

I'm gonna wait and see how it all plays out. I've got a nice recruiting class coming in, but there are a couple of jobs that I'm waiting for. It's just going to come down to what I have at Morehead and what I have offered to me. Obviously, I'd go to a "dream job" no matter how terrible they were because I like the challenge of rebuilding.

COACH SANDERS TO LEAVE THE BADGERS!
Hello all, this is Maxi Macklo the AD of this fine School.I am here today to break some bad news to our student body, staff, and fan base out there.Today,i have sat down with Coach Sanders and talked with him about his future here at Wisconsin. It has been brought to my attention that he will be moving on.After, taking our program to new heights Coach Sanders is on the move again. He has been here with us for 6 seasons and has done a great job in educating his players and teaching them about life. Coach Sanders will truly be missed by all here at the Unversity and most of all his players. The Coach wasn't able to be here for this press conference, but will be holding his own tonite from his home.I would like to thank the press for comming out today and the new coach will be named by early next week.we have several coaches in our sites, but how do you replace a Coach like Albert Sanders. We wish him good luck with his future.I have time to answer one question.
hello Maxi?
Hello sir:
Ken smith:Where is Coach Sanders going? What school?
Maxi:At this time i cann't commit on that and will tell you to wait until tonite to find out.
Again, thank you all for comming out.Have a great day.

Press conference from 721 hunter ave, bloomington,Indiana.
Hello this is Carla Pender of the Bloomington times here at 721 Hunter ave in Bloomington,Indiana where an improtant press conference has been called by
Tama Simms of the Unversity.Tama the new AD of the school has made an great addition
to the schools staff.Plus, has made her first in many new hires for the Unversity and it may be the biggest.Today,we have recieved word that after the retirement of R.Sampson a new coach will be brought in from the outside.Instead of the moving up of Coach Smtih who has been a long time assistant of Coach Sampson. At first if was a shock to the school communtiy, but then rumors started to arise about who could be on the way.One name has stayed inside the circle for the last month of school, but no offer could be made because he was still in season.Plus,it was unsure if this coach will leave his school after what he has done there. Here is the coaches resume to show he is well perpared to take on this job:
2006-07 WIU National champions (32-05)
2007-08 WIU National Champions (39-01)
2008-09 WIU Elite eight (35-02)
2009-10 Santa Clara National champions (40-0)
2010-11 Santa Clara National Champions (34-5)
2011-12 Santa Clara National Champions (32-7)
2012-13 Santa Clara Final four (27-11)
2013-14 Wisconsin Final four (30-9)
2014-15 Wisconsin National Champions (33-7)
2015-16 Wisconsin National Champions (35-3)
2016-17 Wisconsin National Champions (33-5)
2017-18 Wisconsin National Champions (25-13)
2018-19 Wisconsin National Champions (33-5)
Overall A, offense A, defense A, Teaching A, Scouting A+, Cha A+, DIS A-
Overall record: 428 wins, 73 loses
This is the resume of Coach Sanders of Wisconsin. He has been a proven winner since taken over the Head coaching job at Western Illinois. In which he was only there for three years. At that school he has won two National titles and numerous other awards. So,he is able to come in and restore this school to it's previous greatness.Plus,he is comming off of a National title again at Wisconsin. It is getting to the point that if he isn't in the title game something is wrong with college basketball.Ok,i am getting word right now that the press conference is getting ready to start. We go live to the livingroom of Coach sanders and his family.
Hello and welcome to Bloomington,My name is Tama simms the new Ad of Indiana Unversity.I am here to introduce one of the best college coaches of our era.He jumped onto the college stage and just blow it out of the water. No one ever thought that he would
do what he has done and that what makes him special. Now we are a school with that gift here and hope that he can bring us acouple of national titles. With no more to bragg about i give you the new HEAD Coach Of Indiana Albert Sanders!
Hello all,Thank you for your warm welcome to Indiana. It has been a long time dream of mine to coach at this fine unversity.I am sorry that you guys have lost a great coach like Raph Sampson.I look forward to the challenge of restoring this unversity to greatness.Again,i wanted to be here because i myself have a little history here.My frat was started here in 1911(Kappa Alpha Psi Inc.,)and i just looked forward to being here.I wanted my name to go do in history as part of this unversity as well. So,here i am.
I would like to tank Tama Simms and the unversity for making me the top choice for this job.I hope that i will be the perfect fit here at this school. My family and i are honored to be here and look forward to being here for a number of years. At this time i would like to open the floor up for acouple of questions.
Carla Pender:hello,Coach Sanders Welcome to our great city and unversity!
Coach:thank you Ms.Pender.
Carla:Coach with all that you had at Wisconsin,do you feel it was time for you to leave?
Coach:Well carla when is the perfect time to leave a place where you have had so much success. Is it after you win your 5th national title or after a losing season.i felt that it was the right time to go.I had sat down with my players right after winning our last title to see how they felt about me leaving. They all felt that if it was a job i really wanted then i should go.Plus, players like F.Gale,R.Hines,and A.Sanders were all graduating or going to the NBA.So,players i have been around for three and four years were now departing from the program. So, i just felt it was time. This will give the school some time to bring in a coach to work with this young team and put in his style of play.Making him have early success due to the fact that these players are young and gifted and will pick up on what he is trying to teach.
Carla:i thought you had just signed a new contract with Wisconsin
Coach: i did and that also was a reason i sat down with Maxi before i made my plan for leaving. If Maxi would have told me that he wanted me to stay i would have. One because he gave me my first job in a power conference.Maxi, told me to go and follow my dream and that i always had a home at wisconsin.with that i choice to move on.
Carla:what can we expect from you here?
Coach:At this point i don't know. From looking at the roster it has been stated that coach sampson played alot of small ball here.It will probably take me acouple of recruiting class to get in the type of players i normal have on my team.
Carla:So, are you saying you will have acouple of losing seasons?
Coach: No,what i am saying is that it will take so time to turn this program into what i want it to be.Of course we will play hard and let the chips fall where they may.I have time for one more question before i put the kids to bed.
Carla:any predictions for the year?
Coach: This will be a great year here at Indiana and everyone should pay attention to what we are going to build.
This is Carla Pender with the Bloomington times saying we are in for a good season here in Indiana. The player roster will be posted next week.

to tell your the truth i think your lecacy won't be that entertaining anymore. Its not in a bad way, but like you said before that recruiting loves Indiana and Kentucky. I remember finally getting the Duke job in last years game. I remember being extremely happy taking over a power house team. I was really looking for like Maryland, Texas Tech, Florida, or Kentucky.
When i finally got there i think i lost like six games the first year and then maybe four the next two years and won the national championship the last two years. I lost all the joy of playing this game (recruiting was wayyy to easy at Duke for me) and i didn't feel like playing legacy for me. Luckly for me I left Duke after the third year and went to Drake which have some ties to so i got my happiness back for this game. Quite honestly i had more fun playing with Drake and losing 15 games the first year since they were God awful.
I am just afraid you will be like me and when you finally got your dream job its too much of a dream. I surely hope you still love to play with Indiana 4, 5 or many years down the road. I just hope for the best.
Lasty the only reason why i said your legacy won't be entertaining anymore is because it will become to easy for you. I know how everyone has their favorite teams and power schools they want to teach at, but honestly i think the progression is too fast in this game. Ironically people are ****ed cause you can't get to Duke after 4 years and winning the N.C. game at a mid major school 2 or 3 years in a row. Granted i love some big schools, but quite honestly i love a challange. I rather build a team up, or better yet use a team like Xavier (which is actually my dream job in this game) and make them win a national championship.
One teeny last thing. I really do like your legacy like a lot of people and i think that it might hurt it that you are going to Indiana. I just hope you find some way to keep it frest and fun. Best of luck and hopefully that explains my reasoning.

I fully understand what you are talking about.what i have done is moved the sliders around a bit to give me more of a challenge. If it starts to get boring i will just move down to a nice mid-major and just retire from there. My overall plan is to go back to Santa Clara in about 8 years and finish my career there. Now i plan on playing all my games compare to before when i just played the ranked teams. One thing i can say is the only reason i got those players to commit to Indiana is because i followed them thru out high school.they were all going to go to Wisconsin where i was at before going to Indiana. Now i am in great need of SG for my third year and none of the ALL-americans i wanted signed with me.I only signed a four star SG during early signing period. That post will be up on monday along with the top 25 and schule and current games played already. So,i just want you coaches to keep following my legacy and let me know what you think.

Thank you for that my friend.I got alot of bad press in Indiana for cutting some of Raph Sampson's players he recruited.I thought that after winning a National Championship and bring in those players all will be forgotten. No,it hasn't!I think that with how well the freshmen i brought in are playing the fans will forget about those other players.if not then the will just have to kiss my *&%.Or i will just pack up and head back to Santa Clara(I don't think i can go back to Wisconsin.I sweep them three times last season.2x in conference games and 1x in the Big ten touney)So,i may not be welcome.LOL.More stats to come on 5-16-07 that is my office day at work.

Hello,
Out there in sports land this is Carla Pender dropping this years season schedule on you for the Indiana Hoosier. The have a very tough road in front of them this year.Coach Sanders had gone to AD Tama Simms and told her he was unimpressed with the schedule she had put together the year before.So,Ms.Simms allowed Coach Sanders to make the schedule as he did when he was coaching at Wisconsin and Santa Clara. As i look over this schedule if they have a melt down in the non-conference games you can pretty much count them out of the NCAAs.Well as we all know this is how Coach sanders does thing and Indiana fans just has to get use to it.The schedule is as followed:
11/9/20 vs #17 Virginia Tech
11/10/20 at #24 St.John's
11/12/20 vs #7 Notre Dame
11/17/20 at # 8 Kansas State
11/21/20 vs #1 Texas A&M
11/24/20 at # 5 Oregon State
Deodorant Classic: 11/26/20 vs Iona
12/7/20 vs #13 Alabama
12/10/20 vs #4 UCLA
12/15/20 at #23 USC
12/22/20 at #18 Villanova
1/5/20 vs #6 Michigan
1/9/20 at #19 Ohio State
1/12/20 at Illinois
1/16/20 vs LSU
1/20/20 vs Penn State
1/23/20 vs #11 Michigan State
1/27/20 at Penn State
1/30/20 vs minnesota
2/3/20 at Purdue
2/6/20 at Minnesota
2/9/20 vs Iowa
2/13/20 vs Purdue
2/17/20 at #3 Wisconsin
2/21/20 at Northwestern
2/24/20 vs #3 Wisconsin
2/28/20 vs Illinois
3/6/20 at Iowa
All I can say is WOW! Do you see this schedule and where this team has to go and play. They are taking on the best teams in the country.Plus, they have some of the best teams in the country comming to Bloomington for some great games.I don't know about you but i am happy i have season passes.Which by the way go on sell today. So,tune in this year it's sure to be a great season.

chestnut it is a tool i do to get ranked early. This is my second year at Indiana and they were not rank when i first got there. So,i made tough schedules to get the name of the school out.Now that i have brought in great players i don't have to make a schedule like that again. One thing about a schedule like that your players use alot more energy.Which hurt me.Keep checking my post you will see what hap-pened.

PF Sheray Merchant,71 overall,Atlanta,Ga,7'1,239, So
Coachs notes:One B.A beckwith name has been changed to Bj sanders.I do that with every team i am with.this shows the first recruiting class i brought into the program. When he graduates are leave early i will change the name of another incomming freshman.two S.Merchant was red shirted because when Norwood graduates or go pro i will not have a true PF so i red shirted him to take that spot.If you notice i play alot of big players that is a true reflection of what i saw Syracue do for years, and how it made the 2-3 or 3-2 work so well.Plus,i use two squads so i can press the whole game and not get tired( Rick P. at UK in the past).then a 6'9 to 7'0 foot Sf is a reminder of the Cory brewer of Florida role.he can check small players or tall players(Billy D. of fla) either way he will be a great defender.

B.Sanders 12 pts, 4 rebs, 5 stls, 6-13 fgs
V.T leaders

C K.Benjamin 8 pts, 8 rebs, 5 T.O, 4-4 fgs
Team stats:
V.T
17-27 fgs, 25 rebs, 8 stls, 15 asts
Indiana
27-61,19 rebs, 42 stls, 10 asts
Coach notes:
This was a very tough game in the beginning due to the fact our younger guys struggled early.F.whitney carried the team until B.sanders and A.goode woke up and played to their ability.A.Goode add 8 pts,6 rebs,3 stls,3 blocks. This was just a pre-view of what the two stand out freshmen could due.In the second half the team relaxed and played the way we knew they could. One thing we didn't struggle with was defense gathering 42 steals(the press is real).Plus, the bench stepped up and played big like we need them to do.
Next Game:
at # 24 St.john's
This will be a bigger test than our last game.

yea really looks like it was a tough game early. What really happened u were only playing a two-man game early on with only actually playing with two people instead of five?
as for the 360 it is fine now at least if you don't get an original launch system. odds of that are remote if any since it was hard to get. all the problems with the 360 are pretty much over. I really do love my 360 and it is well worth it. that post wasn't there to try to turn away people it was just to lighten the mood, especially for me since i am kind of depressed.
Ironically Crackdown still works (its on right now for the Halo 3 Beta, and i am afraid to turn it off since i don't know if my 360 will work after turning off). i did try College Hoops before looking for the Beta and still won't work, althought now my disc is all chewed up from the system, so it looks as if i will go to a store today to get a new copy of it for free.
as for all my posts, yes i was kidding about all that stuff. i find laugher a very good thing in the world as i am always a happy go-go kind of person. But if you know any of this type of people u also have to wonder why we are consently always happy, cause deep down we are just very depressed. Reason why i am a theatre person is cause i am such screw up in the head. Again, another topic for another time. but in the end it was all just a joke though and i really like everyone on here (except for lawcutta cause he doesn't know how to run any set plays in this game)

No cinyfan i play with all five of my guys.I never make one person the lone star on my teams. It just took acouple of my players time to find their shoot.I haven't had a problem like that since.

Hello,
This is Isisah Thomas here filling in for Carla Pender today in Bloomington,Indiana.Today,Coach Sanders is here to enlighten us with the list of
potential Hoosiers comming in next year.so,i say welcome to the new big guy on campus now:
Thomas:Hello Coach sanders and welcome!
Coach:Hello, Mr.thomas and thanks for having me.first, let me say it is a honor to be sitting here with you today.I would like to thank you for comming in to interview me.
Thomas:well coach i have to thank you for sitting down with me.Plus, for bring back the respect to my great school.
Coach:the plesure is all mine.i love the school, staff, fan, and more so my players.Everyone has been so helpful to me since i arrived last year.
Thomas:Well i know after that title run last year they loved you even more now.For two main reasons. One because they don't have to face you anymore at Wisconsin and because you are bring in great hardware so far.Already you have won the Conference title, big ten touney, and the National title. That makes you the first coach in big ten history to win all three of those titles at two different schools.
Coach:I don't look at it that way.I look at it as my team has accepted what i am trying to teach and has taken to it.they are the ones out there running up and down the court. They get all the credit in my eyes.
Thomas:Unh,spoken like a true leader. When i played under B.Knight he was the same way.never wanting any of the credit, but you have to take some of it.Raph sampson had the same players here as you had and he didn't win any of those titles. Why is that?
Coach:simple put?
Thomas:Yeah!
Coach:Because i was over at Wisconsin being selfish and wanted to win it every year.I didn't want anyother team walking around with our awards. Now that is the way i look at things now here.I only see Wisconsin as being a threat to me here. Why?because that team is like a mirror to my new team.both have been put together the same way.Big,fast, shooter, and more so great defenders.so,i know when it is all said and done it may come do to us and them.
Thomas:How does that make you feel?
Coach:It hurts alittle because i recruited all of those players into that program, and for them not to win makes me alittle sad.I promised them a winning college career and now i am the one stopping them from winning the conference and touney's.
Thomas:I can understand that.Well we don't have that much time left so can you share with us your list of recruits?
Coach:Sure that is what i am here for.this year we only had three scholarships to offer and we are in need of some good SG's.So,i have invested my time in looking for the best fit for our style of play. Here i have found three SG that can fill that void that will be let by Sr SG F.Whitney.No one can fill his shoes, but i hope one of these guys can come in and make a quick name for themselves.:
Chaz Christian,SG,6'5,214lbs,5*,Terre Haute,Indiana,#7 SG and #33 overall,B+ off,B shoot,A reb,A hus,B+ leap,B+ quick, B- Intellence,Good pot,offered.
Donald PettyJohn,SG,6'6,221lbs,5*,Mr.Pa,Pittsburgh,Pa,B off,A- shoot,C reb,C+ hus,B+ leap,B quick,A int, good pot,offered,#9 SG and #36 overall.
B.A Sonn,SG,6'6,188lbs,4*,detroit,MI,#37 SG and #130 overall,A- off,B- shoot,A+ reb,B- leap,B quick,a- int,Avg pot,offered.
So,that is what we hope to have comming in next year.I hope to get them signed early to focus on the season a little more.
Thomas:Well that sounds great coach.i look forward to sitting down with you again at a later date coach.Good luck with the rest of the season and come back and let us know it they sign. This is I.Thomas signing off for Indiana Hoosier TV.

I made the season tough for alot of reasons.I need to bring at least two of my standout freshmen along very quickly. This is because my main scorer are leaving after this year.Plus,i want them to be ready for the NCAAs.
I can see that. Playing your frosh early against tough competition makes them much better down the stretch.

I need for them to be strong in touney play>Plus i have three Sr leaving and i need my freshmen to be ready to take over this team.

Well not exactly!I have just been thinking lately about how far ahead of everyone i am in my legacy.Plus,i did some looking into my legacy at home and saw that i have not been posting everything as quick as i should have been. So,what i have decided to do was start a new legacy.I have acouple of days off this week and figuared i would get started on that. That way i will start posting as i play games instead of waiting.Plus, since reading alot of you guys legacy have insirped me to stay at a smaller school a little longer. It's more for better games.I am tryed of running the table once i get to the NCAA.So,Thursday of this week a new legacy will be posted for my new team.I hope all will follow that legacy. This is Coach sanders of Indiana saying thank all of you for following and hope you follow the one i will start posting on thursday.

cincyfan, what's up.Congrads on grabbing up a number 1 seed in the NCAAs.I look forward to seeing what your boys will do in the touney.Plus,i will be starting a new legacy tonite because i feel my curent one was to easy.I put some sliders in to help the computer out. So,i will start posting that legacy on thursday.I have yet to select a new team.that will be done tonite.I hope you will follow my friend.Coach sanders out.
Quite honestly i want to say i am quite dissointed. Wow two quite's in one sentence i am quite proud lol. Anyways i told you before to be weary to taking a top tier program. I was afraid it would become to easy as it has for me in the past. Now although u are quiting this i am not too sad since you will be starting a new one.
P.S. You know me i am always down for following a good legacy. One thing though why start over? why don't u just leave Inidiana for a smaller school?

Well everyone after reading Cinyfan quote on just leaving Indiana and just picking a new school instead of starting over.I have thought about it and it sounds good. Then i went home and simmed the rest of the second year at Indiana and the team won the Conf, conf touney, and NCAA without me playing. Then on top of having the number three recruiting class the year before.Indiana with my new recruits hosted the number 2 recruiting class. So, i felt i couldn't leave. So,new post from Indiana is comming.I would like alot of you to give me so hard sliders to make the game harder.I am tired of just running thru the AI.Thanks for the advice CInyfan.I did start another legacy.I went back to WIU.I am currently 12-2 getting ready to enter into Conf play.If you want those highlights let me know i saved them and wrote them down to put online.

You could change the sliders yourself. Raise the def. awareness if you must. Turn you shooting down. Maybe turn your teams offense awareness down and whatnot. But anyways GL.

Ok,just a little back around since i last posted i basically was going to start another legacy, but i realize with the help of some friends (cinyfan) that it would be best to just finish this one out and accept another job somewhere esle. So,the post i am putting up will start with 2022.If you have been following my post already you will see i am missing 2021.That is because i simmed that year.My number one freshman from that great class i had(B.Sanders) left after two seasons. He had grabbed up 2 back to back 2K sports,NCAA + Big ten player of the year awards before leaving.so,don't get him confused with the new player i recruited that is a freshman on this years team. They have the same last name because as one leave i change the name of the next player that comes in.So,enjoy.now i am up to date on my post. So,daily i will be posting game stats and results.

Albert Sanders (A+) 534 wins, 86 loses
***.
E.Diggs (B+) with team 4 years
B.Armstrong (B+) with team 4 year
Coaches Comment:This years team is very different from my last couple of teams. All of my teams have been lead by strong SF play with great ball handling from the PG.Now with alot of my leading scorer gone i am forced to make a star out of either a freshmen or my lone SR(Mcleod). My leading returning scorer is D.Mcfarlin(PG) and he avg., 4.3 points per game last year. So,Mcfarlin and Sanders will have to carry a major load of the scoring. We will see what happens.

# 4 Indiana (H) 53 VS Duke 37
(IND) D.Mcfarlin, 15 pts, 1 reb, 2 ast, 7 stl

Duke L.Grace, 6 pts,2 reb, 2 ast, 4 stl, 8 T.O
Duke W.Nagata, 6 pts,1 reb, 2 ast
Coaches Comment:Duke came out ready to play some tough basketball in the first half and early in the second half.At the 5 minute mark the hoosiers woke up and put on a shooting display like no other. The team showed that no matter what they are going to play ball. In the last 4 minutes we out scored them 20-4 to end the game."Mcfarlin was being quoted as saying that we are going to play hard every game, and hopefully we will win another chip."
Louisville (H) 38 VS #4 Indiana 75
(LOU) J.Nutter, 9 pts,3 reb, 2 ast, 4 TO
(Lou) M.Lenzly, 6 pts, 3 reb, 1 ast, 2 TO

IND A.Sanders , 18 pts,2 reb, 4 stl, 8-14 fg
IND D.Jefferson, 8 pts, 1 reb, 2 stl
Coaches Comment: This game showed me what my boyz could do when they get hot.D.Mcfarlin came thru like a true champ and showed me he could be a leader for my team.He handle my team with great care and pressured the ball the whole game.Causing S.Kuhle to turn the ball over 13 times.Mcfarlin showed our young guys how to get out after it on the defensive end.

look at that height on your team. Thats just sick. Other than that you do have an impressive team.
whats the whole thing about not spelling my name or my city right by everyone on the boards. Its CincyFan and its Cincinnati. Not Cinyfan and not Cincinatti like everyone spells its. I thought it was easy to spell, but apparently everyone just want to make fun of me. i am not really mad or upset. Funny side note i have this name for poker when i play for money and everyone thinks my name is CindyFan not CincyFan. WTF????

Cinyfan or sorry CINCYFAN!LOL i am not trying to make fun of your name sometimes i am in a rush and just forget to put the C in it.I know we are a tall team for alot of reasons. One because i recruit like S-que(Big EAST).I love the zone defense 2-3,3-2,2-1-2,1-3-1, and triangle and 2.With the height i have it makes it very hard for teams to out rebound us or pass the ball around in the paint. That is why i avg about 20 something steals per game. You need to try it sometimes.Plus, once i got to the Big Ten i noticed alot of the power schools were really big.

Today marks the day that Coach Sanders has made his mind up on who he will try and bring in next year. With the early signing period in just over 8 days Coach Sanders and his staff have decided to go with 1 PG and 2 PF.The reason Coach Sanders decided to go with the two PF is because Goode and Roy(both Starters) are rated at 85 and 84 early in the season.Which means they will only get better as the season progess.Which means they may leave school for the NBA after this season forgoing their last year of school. That would mean the freshmen would come in and play right away with the 2nd unit.As always Coach Sanders believes in signing his players early so he can focus only on his teams up comming games. In the past this has always work out in his favor and with the interest these players are showing in his program. This year shouldn't be any different.Following are the three players Coach Sanders has offered a scholarship to:
(5*) All-American, Filip Steele,PG, 6'0, 175, West Palm Beach,FL, #2 pg and # 6 overall,A+ off, Shooting A-, Rebound A, Hustle A+, leap A, Quick A, INT A-, Pot. Good, offered
(5*) Mr.Basketball, Gerald Szatho, PF, 6'10, 232, Brookings,SD, #3 PF and #30 overall, B off, A+ shooting, A+ rebound, b hustle, A- leap, B+ quick, INT B, Pot. GOOD, offered
(5*) Malik Sheiton, PF, 6'10, 240, Piano,Tx, #5 PF and #34 overall, B+ off, A- shooting, A- rebound, B hustle, B+ leaping, B quick, Int A+, pot ??, offered
Coaches Comments: These are some great recruits that we have narrowed our search down to.The rest is on them if they will accept out scholarship offer or not.I have explained to the PF's that if Goode and Roy don't leave early they most likely will be red-shirted for one year. Both of them stated that they could live with that. The PG is an All-American and will play right away.It is unsure if he will start his freshman year or not,but he will be in a major role for our program. All players interest is at 100% right now with no one really leaning towards another school. So,i am hoping that by early signing end all will have commited to our program.

Depaul 32 (H) VS #4 Indiana 49
Coach: Brad Barwell
Key Players(Depaul):
SF J.Ballard 8 pts,3 reb, 4 blks,1 stl
SF S.Fray 6 pts,1 reb,1 ast,1 blk
PG B.Bird 4 pts,2 reb, 3 ast, 2 stl
Key Players(Indiana):
D.Mcfarlin 15 pts, 6 stls, 1 TO
A.Sanders 14 pts,1 ast, 7 stls
M.Mcleod 4 pts,3 reb, 1 ast, 6 stl
Team Stats:
Depaul, 16-35 FG, 45%, 0-4 3pt, 0-0 FT, 36 TO, Ast 11, Rebounds 29, Fastbreak points 12
Inidiana, 19-53, 35%, 2-18 3pts, 11%, 9-12 FT, 75%, 6 ***, 12 TO, Fastbreak points 14
Rebounds 12
Coaches Comments:This game was a real good game in the first half. Both teams played great defense to get things going. At half the score was 20- 16 with depaul on top after running off 8 point in a row.Mcfarlin was on the bench with 3 personal fouls and A.sanders couldn't buy a basket. In the second half their was no dening that this was D.Mcfarlins team and he didn't waste anytime showing it.Mcfarlin by himself went on a 10-2 run hitting two quick threes from the top of the key. Then he was fouled on a fastbreak and sank two foul shoots.the other two points came on a double down on Roy who found Mcfarlin at the right elbow for the short jumper.Sanders then showed signs of life as well scoring 8 of his 14 in the last 5 minutes of the game.As each game comes both Mcfarlin and sanders show me that they are ready to lead this young talented team to something great.I just hope they can keep it up.
Preseason NIT:
First round: (H) #4 Indiana 72 VS Navy 43
Key Players (Indiana):
D.Mcfarlin 14 pts, 1 reb, 1 ast, 3 stl
M.Mcleod, 13 pts, 2 reb, 2 ast, 4 stl
A.Sanders 10pts, 1 reb, 2 stl
key Players ( Navy):
S.Hackckstoodt 13 pts, 5 reb, 1 ast
B.jaknhe 11 pts, 2 reb, 2 blks
M.Willingham 3 pts, 2reb, 2 ast ( this was their star player)
Team stats:
Navy 14-27 fg, 51%, 0-1 3pts
Indiana 29-53 FG, 56%, 10-16 3pts, 62%
Coaches Comments: At this time i don't have to much to say about this game.We knew that this was a geme game and we went into it thinking just that. One bright spot we found in this game was the break out shooting of back-up PG J.Humphrey.Humphrey shoot 5-7 from behind the three point line( 15 pts,1 reb,1 ast,2stl) which made it very hard for Navy to double down on any of our bigs.Once the ball went up Navy had no chance at anything they wanted to do in this game.After,3 minutes into the game they were already down by 17 points. We pressed them for a total of ten minutes the entire game and the starters only played about 8 minutes.I didn't want to risk anyone getting hurt in this blow out.Plus, look at the great balance in the scoring department.WOW! Four players in Double digits.
Next game 2nd round of NIT.

Key Players:

(CEN) E.Damercant 7 pts, 1 reb, 1 ast
(CEN) B.Evenston 5 pts, 3 stl
Coaches Comments: This game i really don't know what took place.I simmed it because their team overall rating was poor.As you see i had two other players break into the top scoring spots.
#4 Indiana (H) 59 VS #9 Texas A&M 39
Key Players:
(IND) D.Mcfarlin 11 pts, 1 reb, 2 ast, 4 stl
(IND) S.Merchant 10 pts, 7 reb, 1 stl
(IND) A.Goode 7 pts, 3 reb, 4 stl
(IND) E.Sullivan 6 pts, 8 reb, 2 stl
Key Players:
(A&M) N.Schafer 10 pts, 5 reb, 1 ast
(A&M) K.Famutimi 7 pts, 3 reb, 1 ast
Coaches Comment: This was a real easy game the starters played only 9 minutes in this one.We expected more from Texas A&M,but the defense was so tough for them.they had to work to get every shot at the basket. They shot 51%(18-35),but they didn't get alot of shots.we were a poor 37%(25-67 and 3-15 from outside, but we played get defense.I am a strong beleiver in Defense wins championships and offense wins games.Check my history 13 Championships."Mcfarlin was quoted for saying that he enjoyed watching the bench play it gave him time to rest his sore ankle."Plus, he got to watch the direction the team is going in.
Now after acouple of wins the team has moved up 1 spot in the polls.we are now the number 3 ranked team in the Country.we feel we should be ranked higher, but it is ok.we love not being the number 1 team.As long as at the end of the season we are where we want to be.That is in the NCAA wearing our white jersey's.Team motto" WE wear white in all NCAA touneys".For some of you that don't understand that We are always aimming to be a number one seed.
#3 Indiana 43 VS #24 Cali 35
key players:
A.Sanders 8 pts,1 reb, 1 ast, 5 stl
D.Mcfarlin 6 pts, 2 ast 5 stl
M.mcleod 6 pts, 3 reb, 1 ast, 5 stl
Key players:
S.Nendriks 8 pts, 6 reb, 3ast
D.Henderson 8 pts, 6 reb, 1 ast
H.Nash 5 pts, 3 reb, 1ast
Coaches comments: This was a tough game all the way to the end.the score may look like we had a nice lead, but that 8 points were FT.both teams struggled from the field and from outside.neither could get anything going.Mr.Gumble stated at half-time which ever team gets hot first will win this game.let's just say no one got hot.Poor performace, but great win.

Third round of Preason NIT
Kansas 54 (H) VS #3 Indiana 41
Key Players (KAN)
D.Smith 17pts,8 reb, 5 stl
M.King 14 pts,3 reb,1 ast
B.Davis 10 pts,2 reb, 4 Blk
Key Players (IND)
A.sanders 14 pts, 3 reb, 1 ast
D.Mcfarlin 7 pts, 2 ast, 5 TO
M.Mcleod 7 pts, 3 ast, 4 TO
Coaches Comments:This game was a very hard game to watch my boys play.We were out played from the beginning to the end.I take most of the blame for this lost.Kansas made several adjustments during the game to throw us off track.when we played man to man they beat us with the pick and role. Then when we went to zone they beat us from outside shooting 50% from behind the line. This was one of those games that when you look at the film you just cann't beleive it.So, that ends two things for Coach sanders here at Indiana, one we have been put out of the NIT.Two,our steak of winning preason touney's is now over at 6(dating back to Wisconsin).
#3 Indiana 40 VS (H) Pepperdine 50
key Players (Pep)
l.Guy 16 pts,10 reb,5 blk
P.Perry 10 pts,3 reb,7 ast

Key Players (IND)
A.sanders 12 pts, 3 reb, 4 stl
M.Mcleod 10 pts, 1 reb, 5 stl
D.Mcfarlin 5pts, 4 reb, 7 TO
Coaches Comments:look at the hole we have dig for ourselves. We have never lost two games back to back since i have been at Indiana.Plus,i haven't lost two games back to back since leaving WIU.This has been a very tough week for us.It's seem as thou Pepperdines coaches took a page out of Kansas's playbook.they came out hungryer for this game than we did.D.Mcfarlin played the game as thought he thought they were going to role over for us.As of late D.Mcfarlin has not played like himself and has made Coach sanders question if he should remain a starter with his poor play. With FR PG Humprhey's getting better ever game it is in D.Mcfarlin's best interest to improve on his game play.
#5 Indiana (H) 41 VS #2 Alabama 36
Key Players(IND)
A.sanders 12 pts, 1 reb, 4 stl
M.Mcleod 10 pts,5 reb, 3 stl
Humphrey 9 pts,1 reb, 4 ast
Key Players (ALA)
W.Broadwell 8 pts, 2 reb,6TO
P.Jones 6 pts,0 reb,1 stl
J.Johnson 5 pts, 1 reb, 4 stl
Coaches Comments:After, having a good week off the team played great basketball early in the game.We only praciticed twice this past week giving the guys time to reflect on their play in recent games. Also, in this game in the final 4 minutes Humphrey got to play with the starters and Mcfarlin watched from the bench. He hasn't been the same in any of our last 5 games shooting wises. He still playe great defense, but it is his offense we need more. Now we are back on track i hope to our winning ways.
Side notes:We have just past our early signing period and all three players Coach Sanders was after have signed with Indiana. Now Coach sanders has turned his attention solely on his teams play for the rest of the season. He is however recruiting some Jr's for his next class of recruits.Reporters had a chance to talk with Mcfarlin about his game play as of late.
reporter:hello Mcfarlin!
Mcfarlin:Hello, you can call me Dee.
Reporter:Well, hello dee! What's going on with your game play?
DEE:I don't know lately i have just been out of it.I haven't had my game face on in acouple of weeks. My family has been going thru alot as of late with my younger brother. So, i guess my mind has been there at home with them.
Reporter:How do you feel about being bench in the final 4 minutes of the game agaisnt Alabama?
Dee:It hurt to see my unit out there with a different leader at the PG spot, but i know Coach knows best.
reporter:Do you hold any anger for you coach for putting the freshman in at that time?Don't you think he should have let you play thru you funk?
Dee:no, i don't hold any anger for coach.i have been here for three years playing under Coach sanders and he has all was been fair in how he treats all players here.It is up to you to perform you best and if you don't the next guy will.well i feel i could have played thru the funk, but we are trying to build a special program here at Indiana.if it takes me to sit for us to get the win! So,be it put me on the bench and i will become the best cheerleader we have on campus.
Reporter:Ok,that sounds good but you don't beleive that a freshman is better than you do you?
Dee;I am going to end this interview like this.I feel i am one of the best players in the country. As proven last year in the NCAA's,but lately i have been that player. So,if a freshman is ready to step up and be the man.Let him do it i will be a great back-up.i don't see him taking my job Coach has already stated that it will not happen, but i need to start playing better. It's been nice talking with you but i have to go.
Cureent record: overall 8-2, (0-0)
Next game: VS U of CIN

Knox33, have you seen my roster? When i leave this team is going to be crazy for the next coach.I find out tonite if i will land those players.i one more game before early signing. At this point i may not leave. It depends on who leaves to go to the NBA.If Roy,Goode, and Mcfarlin leave i am out.If two fo them stay i may return.
Yeah, I know you're roster is pretty elite right now. What I was getting at was if you did leave, you set the Hoosiers up with talent for the long run. One thing I'd like to see in next year's game would be if a coach left for another school, some of their recruits would be asked out of their letter-of-intent like in real life. That would add so much more drama to the game. Anyway, it looks like a you have a tough decision to make depending on what the future holds for your players. Good luck.

Thanks for the comment.i to think they should add that into next years game.Plus, they should make it that you can talk a player into staying instead of going pro.

wow apparently i did miss the monday edition of IU. Well all i can say is bummer for the two losses. I hate Kansas so that was painful (man i hate a lot of schools for that matter) and then the shocking lost to Pepperdine.
I lost to UC in the crosstown shootout this year, so hopefully you can do better than me.

June 18th, 2007, 07:59 AM
Sidenote:It was fathers day and i was bored so i simmed the rest of the season and played the NCAA touney.I din't even play the big ten touney and won that hands down. So, Coach sanders is about to inform you of what took place(I wanted to catch-up with Coach ryan and start my new season when he started his).Enjoy the following.
The season was filled with alot of great moments that were missed by many TV station, because of the many games on the road this year.Ms.simms(Indiana's AD) thought that with a veteren lead team that it would be good to be on the road more this year than next year. So,we got to run around the country this year blowing teams out.Ok, you saw how we started the year out we kept on getting the big wins, but our play didn't look the same when we played teams we had the upperhand on.Our non-conference record was 12-2 and our conference record was 13-3.We had a great year all in all!!!I think it was the early loses to Kansas and Pepperdine that motived the players to play their best basketball when it came touney time.they understood from those loses that teams were not impressed with who they were or how many NC they had won.Teams wanted to play them and more so beat them.so, after losing the Preseason NIT in the semi-final round the team look to be hurt. One for not at least advancing to the championship game or winning the whole thing.Mcfarlin was quoted for saying in his two previous years he didn't ever worry about playing in big games, because he always knew the team would make it to whatever touney they were playing in championship game.He went onto say that it hurts to be the first team under Coach sanders at Indiana not to win a preseason touney championship. That is something the team has to live with for the rest of their careers.
So,we entered into conference play and just set our minds on blowing this conference open.Looking back on this conference their were only acouple of teams that Coach Sanders really wanted to beat bad.Of cousre Ohio state was on that list(at 1-4 agaisnt them) and this year would be different from years pasted.this year we traveled to Ohio state in our only meeting this year and pulled off a one point win.Mcfarlin hit a three at the buzzer to give us the victory.Snapping a 3 game losing streak to the Buckeyes.current Ohio State coach gave our players all the respect in the whole after that come back win.We were down 14 with 4:30 to play when Goode and Roy woke up on the boards and Mcfarlin and sanders started to heat up from outside.I think that win showed our team that we were going to have a great conference run this year. So,again we wrapped up the regular season going 13-3 in conference play and now stood at 25-5.More so we were the number #2 team in the country behind guest who? Vanderbilt who went 27-1!!WOW! They had a better year than we had(I saw their schule they didn't play any great this year)playing only schools the matched up well with.
So, in the Big Ten touney we knocked off Wisconsin,Iowa, and final Purdue winning all games very easily. Then our future of where we would be was left up to the selection commitee.Again,we were picked as a #1 seed, but not the overall number one(Vand) was awarded that great position(They were knocked out by Memphis in sweet 16).In the final it
was #1 Indiana vs #8 Texas A&M.The game was great up until the second half when Coach Sanders had seen enough at this point it was tied at 51-51.A time-out was called and Coach Sanders had put in a play he had saw Coach Davis of Xavier run against the Unver of Cinn,.then he switch up his defense to play like the Morehead State eagles(Coach Bailey).that right there was an adjustment that threw Texas A&M off.Indiana then went on a run that put the game out of reach for good(16-4).Making Indiana the three team in a row to win four National championships in a row(Santa Clara,Wisconsin,Indiana). What does all these programs have in common?Coach sanders was the Coach when those Championships were won.

Went Pro:
A.Goode,92 rating: was a great shot blocker and rebounder for the three year he played for me.At times when a bucket was needed in the paint Gooded was the man on the block, but understood he wasn't the first option.
Roy,88 rating:He made the move from Center to Power forward look easy.Shot blocker, rebounder, and and 2 chance getter for our team since arriving as a freshman.will be truely missed by all.
M.Mcleod,87 rating:What can i say about this guy.He was the best recruit that sampson brought in before leaving. He played the SG position solid for me for four years. He could have lead the team in scoring each year, but provided leadership for us on the floor. His great work habit will be missed.

With the season behind us and a new year approaching things have gotten a little strange around the campus of Indiana.A story was leak out to the press today that Coach Sanders maybe head for the NBA.Our source didn't have alot of information about this matter, but we are looking into it.Why would a guy who has it all right now be flitting with leaving?this guy has put the swagger back in Hoosier basketball and now he is thing about leaving.Today,we have arranged for an interview with this 15 time NCAA Champion, and sure to be a hall of Fame coach to talk about what we have heard.Check out our interview on Hoosier TV tonite at 7:00pm.
June 10,2023 Press conference at Indiana Hoosier Gym.
Tama Simms(Indiana AD):Hello and welcome all to our special press conference today.we are here for two reasons this evening. One is to give our great basketball team the honor and respect they deserve for there great play over the last 4 years. They have brought back the swagger our program has lost over the year and showed the world that basketball lives right here in Bloomington,Indiana.Plus, they proved to other schools around the country that if you want a NC you have to beat us to get it. So,i would like everyone to stand and give these players a hand. Now with no further comments to be made i give you the coach that made this possible Albert Sanders.
Coach:Thank you all for the round of applause.everyone have a seat.First, i would like to open the floor to questions from the media and Hoosier fans.
Fan:Coach sanders we love you here!!!!
Coach: thank you!I love all of you here to!
media:Coach i am not going to beat around the bush. There have been rumors of you leaving for the NBA.Is there any truth to that?If so why leave now?
Coach:I didn't want to get into that now,but i guess there is no better time.Yes, this was my last year here at Indiana.I have signed a contact worth 5.8 million dollars a year to take over the Portland trailblazers.I will be the teams coach and front office GM.The reason i choose to leave now is because of my legacy i will leave on college basketball.Plus, the recruiting class that has inspired me have all left for the NBA(One returning D.Mcfarlin) which makes this a little easier for me to leave now.Giving the new coach time to adjust to what he has inherted for me.the team is very solid from top to bottom with great players comming in.So,i feel i will be leaving the program in good standing.
Media:Wow!I guess i would leave to if i was offered that much money. Is it about the money or are you bored with winning?
Coach:No it's not the money or being bored. It's about my coaching legacy and what i want to leave behind when i retire from coaching.I don't want to be a guy who people refer to as a great college coach, but a great coach period.I want to see if my coaching style will be a winner on the next level.Just like players do!When they win alot of games and awards in college they move on to test there skills on the highest level. That is what i want to do and with Portland going 11-71 last year i get to re-build a great NBA team.Plus,i waited until after the draft lottery to see where i could start.
Media:What do you mean waited to after the lottery? Why does that mean so much to you? What are you re-building plans?
Coach:Well i wanted to know where they would land in the draft to see who or what position i would fix first. With them earning the number 2 pick in the draft and trading to get the number 8 pick (VIA from Bobcats) i get to bring in some impact players early. It mean alot to me to bring in the type of players i can work with and mold into winners.at this time i will not be sharing those plans.
Media:Well with three of your former players in this years draft will you be selecting any?
Coach:At this time i cann't asnwer that question.I can tell you that it looks like Goode will be maybe the number #1 overall pick and i am very happy for him.The other two players are projected to go in the top 15.Meaning if i do want to select my former players i will only be able to get two of them.Plus,i have to sit with my staff and go over the teams roster. At this point there are alot of players who will be traded and released before the season. This is to make room for what i am trying to do.
Media:who will be you replacement?many have it that a young coach by the name of Adam davis of Xaxier will try and fill your shoes or is it Coach Bailey of the Morehead eagles?
Coach:Well i have sat down with my staff and Tama to discuss this issue.we all feel that it is in the best interest of the school to stay with-in.So,even with the great resumes that Coach Davis and Coach bailey have put together at their wonderful programs my replacement is Coach Elder Watson Diggs.Coach diggs and i have been together since Santa Clara and he understands what it takes to win.Plus,he and Coach Bryon K. Armstrong know these kids and why they came to Indiana.so,i feel that they will honor thses kids and their life time goals. The final coach will be R.faulk a former player that graduated this year.
media:Is there anything the fans, players, or the school could do to keep you here?Or are you planning on comming back after you forfill your dream of coaching in the NBA?
Coach:at this point no.i have signed my contract already because i have done all i can on this level. All the the championship team i have coached have been special to me.now i want to see if i can win one on the that level. No i don't think i will come back to college to coach, but i will have alot to do with this program. In my spare time i will help out with recruiting and help come up with game prep film.I plan on using this school as my base for drafting talent on the next level.
Media:One more question Caoch sanders!
Coach:Sure this is the last question.
Media:Are you going to miss the college game?
Coach:Very much so.I sat up in bed last night and just thought about how the fans at the four schools i coach at embraced me and wondered if the NBA would embrace me like that.I thought about the great Coaches i have met along the way.The Coach Ryans and Baileys of the world.i wondered if they to had plans on moving up.Just overall the love of bring in young talent and turning them into great players and better people.I have never had a job that i loved like coaching college basketball, and that will live in my heart forever.so,with a heavy heart i say fair well to Indiana and my fans out there in college basketball land.
Coach:I would like to thank everyone for comming out.Plus, for the years of support you guys and girls have shown me in my career. Career record 583 wins-91 loses.

i am not going to lie, but after reading that u signed a 5.8 million deal i was excepting to see you at the end put up "i called Portland and told them i had a change of heart." I was sooo expecting that.
One thing about your last season. Did you play against Ohio State or was that a sim game?
Other than that I am say to see you go, but I don't mind posting NBA and College on here ( i was actually going to do writeups on NBA on mine too since I finally had someone good in it), but i really can't wait to see how you do in NBA actually. I am glad you keep the coaching staff in house and didn't go after Coach Ryan or especially Coach Bailey since I want him to stay at Morehead.
Lastly good luck in the upcoming seasons of College and NBA

With the uprise of Coach Dean, Bailey, Ryan, and now un-retired Dean Smith he realized he couldn't keep up the winning traditions at Indiana against these schools so he had to bolt to the NBA to stay in the spot light.

wait i am confused now. i was really just kidding around about the whole leaving thing cause of the other coaches. And don't pick on my X-Men. Now if you wanted to play my team i have in my legacy well by all means go for it, but i bet they are horrible in your game.
one thing i am confused about is that your players who just left Indiana last year are now 2 years pro? or you imported 3 draft classes and put all your players on the Portland team? i know its early and all, and plus i am stupid, but i am just confused.

I think its the same across the board. ANYONE could pick on just about any of our teams (especially those who are not coaching a power team) and be able to beat them up. Whether its Xavier, Morehead State, or TCU. I posted the records of the teams we all coach in my legacy and hardly anyone had a .500 record. And I've seen how poor TCU fares in other legacies. I guess the coach in that "universe" wasn't able to sign guys like Hubbard, Desilos, and BOBBY JOE BRIDGEWATER.
even the power teams struggle sometimes too. Indiana came in as the #1 overall seed in my legacy this year....and well let's just say they get a rude awakening early on (not to spoil the surprise, just a little teaser - I played a few games ahead over the weekend so I'd have something to post from the road this week).

Cincyfan,i told you i am 16 years into my legacy.Plus,i have always recruited good players. One thing i see with alot of the coaches on here is that they recruit 8 to 9 players at a time.that's no good. When i was at smaller schools i would recruit onkly five players at a time that way they knew when they came to the school they would play right away.Plus, you had more time to spend with each recruit.Bring at least two or three at a time for recruiting trips. The when you get alot of #1 overall players they usually leave after there sohp year(with my teams at least).

It seems when I bring a player in for a recruiting trip, it used all my recruiting points. Maybe sometimes able to send a couple emails to a few others but not much more.
No NBA players for me yet either. Hubbard would be a long shot with an 84 rating - but gee, he came in around 69 as a 3 star recruit. I'd expect Desilos and Bridgewater to make the transition when their time comes (possibly Turiaf if he continues to improve as he has this year). And the 4 superstars I just signed should be all but locks to be drafted (maybe even lose a couple early). But before I get ahead of myself, let's at least let them get enrolled and play a couple games first. loli

The way to get more recruiting points is to set your games up to where you have either one game a week early on or no games. Then you will have enough free time to bring in more than one player.I have had three recruits up on the same weekend. One came on friday and the other two came on saturday.Go to the coaches meeting to set that up.

Well I am ten years in mine and I only have three. Which I only really count two cause one guy I didn’t recruit, and when I took over Xavier he was a senior. So I really don’t count him as a “my guy”. I guess that will all change cause in the next two years I should have at least five people go Pro.
Anyways in NBA what round and pick did your players go? Good luck in the upcoming seasons, and I am glad you are back doing College

Yeah, you are right in the next few years as you keep getting better.Better players will be comming to play for you.I drafted D.Mance in the first round(Pick 7) Then i got D.Kann in the
first round at pick 17 and the rest were either late first round or second round.Ones that didn't get drafted i signed as free agents. Now remmeber i had to simm acoulpe of seasons to get them all together.D.Kann was one of the first recruits i brought into Santa clara(B.Dudley,L.milton,) all were in that first class i recruited there.all of which made it to the NBA.And thanks for welcoming me back.LOL

Coaches Comments:
This team has great potential for the future.I am unsure how they will fair in conference play.As you see we are very young and some what under developed in different areas.we have 2 Sr's,1 Jr, 4 so, and 3 fr making for a very on edge year.My teams normally have about three to four Sr's or at least more Jr's to help out with on the floor coaching. With this team i need alot out of A.Sanders to help pull us thru.Mcfarlin needs to shake off the bad performance from the previous year and come in ready to lead.He either needs to do it by scoring or by doing the little things to help us get the win.

J.Mcfadden 8 pts,3 reb
M.salow 7 pts, 2 reb, 2stl
Comments:This was a classic game and will be shown for many years to come. This game came down to two players showing there will to win.J.humphrey scored his 9 points in the final 1:30 of the game on three 3 point shots.Humphrey and Guiong of GT had their own little game of horse going on.the game was tied at 42 - 42 with 1:30 to play when Guiong hit a three from the corner.Seeing that the game might slip away humphrey pulled up from the top of the key all net.The press(1-2-2) was put on as soon as the ball came out of the net.Sanders at this point all over the ball grabbed one of his six steals and kicked it to Humphrey in the right corner and with ICE WATER running thru his veins Bang another three. Now we are up 48-45 and looking to grab another steal, but it didn't happen Guiong broke free down the sideline.looking for the quick shot Salow set a pick on D.Mcfarlin which put him on his back leaving Guiong open from 3 point land.BANG!!! 48-48!! Now we have the ball back with 38 seconds left on the clock we can try and run the time down or get a quick shot off and play great defense.Which do we do?Quick shot right? Mcfarlin breaks Guiong down with the crossover and gets into the paint as the defense helps out they leave Humphrey open at the top of the key again.Mcfarlin who has played PG for the last three years sees Humphrey and kicks it out.Bang!!! 51-48! at this point i feel the game is over.so,i call the press off with 15 seconds remaining.Instead of Guiong comming down and getting a shot Mcfaddens number was called, but he missed wide to the right.the ball went out of bounds.GT was force to foul, but all we would need is one foul shot and Mcfarlin hit that and missed the second and time ran out.I was impressed at how the team played together at the end of the game. This was a major win for us today.

Coaches Comments:
This game wasn't as close as the score says.We were up by 12 at half, but then the bench played majority of the second half.they couldn't put points on the board.which forced me to put the starters back in the game with 3:00 left to ensure the victory.Sanders again played like a beast when in the game.Showing he could score on the post or on the wing.Sanders which was the player of the game is becomming a real talent with the overall improvement of his inside game.I look forward to the rest of the year to see how he keeps growing.

Coaches comments:
This game right here was a complete blow out from the beginning.Syracuse jumped out to a ten point lead and never looked back.Their overall phyiscal play was to much for my young team to handle.Syracuse's big men came into this game with the mindset of stopping A.sanders from doing any damage inside.Everytime Sanders touched the ball on the block he was doubled down on.when we made the adjustment to kick the ball back out to the shooters.they made an adjustment foul sanders on the block.Which proved to be a good move.Again we came up with a style that would help us score some points, but the syracuse bigmen weren't having any of that.Everything that came into the paint got returned to the sender.Syracuse total a team high 15 blocks in this game.Sanders the teams leading scorer shot 2-14 from the field.that is unacceptable.so,tommorrow in pracitice the team will run and run some more.I just hope we get another shot at the Orangemen this year!!!I promise things will be way different.
Next game Preseason NIT:Bucknell (1-0)
I am currently 2-1.

tough loss after such a classic game. Looks like Coach sanders has adopted some the coach dean Puke drills after that letdown. If the team got overconfident after the Louisville game, that should get their attention

You are right. They played as if Syracuse was just going to give them the game. They walked into the gym thinking there name was going to win for them. So,i ran them to death the next two days to show them that nothing is promised. Thanks for letting me use you drills.

wait you actually have 10 players already in the NBA? Wow thats impressive (i only have 3, but one guy was on Xavier's team for one year when i first took it over)
Wow skar, 16 NBA draftees? I've been at Morehead going on 7 years and I have yet to put a player into the NBA. Of course, my new guys will definitely be going, but none of my former players have made the jump.

Knoxx33,don't get me wrong alot of my players went Pro from my Wisconsin and Indiana teams.I only had one player go pro from WIU in my last year there.I had three go Pro from Sanata Clara. The other 13 were a mix of both of my Big ten programs.Once you start getting the better players more go pro than others.Plus, alot of them leave after their so or jr year.i am 16 years into my legacy. If you catch up with me you to will have that many players go pro.Look at how good the players you are getting now are doing.remmeber i told you a long time ago getting all-americans changes your team alot.I have had alot of all-americans and still have alot of them comming to indiana.

Coaches comment:This was a game that i was worried about.Seton Hall came into this game 2-1,but have only lost to 1 ranked team.they have played two in which they put a blow out on Maryland earlier in the week. So,i was kind of afriad of what they could do.Plus,we lose last year in the second round and i thought that this could be the team to bring us down.Well as you see i was wrong.I think the team learned their lesson from the puke drills. Now we are riding a two game winning streak.the team rebounded great from that earlier lose to Syracuse.

Hello, all i am here with Coach Sanders of Indiana.Hello, Coach!
Coach:Hello, Carla.
reporter(carla):Hello, coach thanks for comming, but i want to get right into it.Are you Ok with that?
Coach:Sure,and thanks for having me.
Reporter:Coach i think the whole college basketball nation was taken back by that blow-out game Syracuse put on you guys.how do you feel about taking one of the loses of you career from your mentor?
Coach:All i can say is that Syrcaue played a great game and i give them all the credit in the world.losing to a friend and a mentor is hard, but it helps to keep you grounded. If i had run over the orangemen like i do alot of other teams.i may have lose respect for my mentor. He showed me in that game that he taught me some of his tricks not all.which made it impossible for my guys to get anything going.do i care about the lose yes. Will i use it to motivate my team.YES!
Reporter:Have thing gotten back to normal around the lockerroom now since the lose?
Coach:Yes,things have gone back to normal.the players understand that they have a bulls eye on their backs.Plus, teams are starting to catch up to our level of play.We aren't as big as we were a year ago,and we have a young team. So,they have re-focused themselves to playing the best basketball they can.Which has been shown with the two big wins we have gotten in the Preseason NIT.
Reporter:Well coach i see you guys are trying to get back to the big dance?Do you see any team stopping you?
Coach:I see what you are trying to do.i will answer this question and then the interview is over.Yes,we are trying to get back to the Big dance. No,i don't see any team stopping us.Why?because we are the only team that can stop us.by not playing Indiana basketball.there are several great programs out here and all have the same goal.WIN IT ALL!so,my teams focus is on the prize and whoever plays us when we get to the dance has to just be ready to play a great game.Lastly,D.Mcfarlin wanted me to tell you and the world that for the last 4 years we have won the title.so,the new name of the NCAA championship game in Indiana Midnight madness.
Reporter:Why?
Coach:Because the only thing that has changed about this game the last four years is the place where it is played and who we play.we are like american express we are all ways there.good-bye.

rumors are spreading thru college basketball about one of the greatest college coaches ever.there have been several sports agents that have called into the NCAA recruiting office about the tack of Coach sanders recuriting methods.A review commitee has been formed and will be on Iniana campus for the next couple of weeks looking into the rumors.Coach sanders was contact and this is what he had to say,"I don't know where these rumors have come from, but i do know they are not true.i have gone thru my whole coaching career with out cheating so why wholed i start now.In this review the whole world will see that i have done nothing wrong .the school and Ad Tama simms are on my side and we all hope this will be handled before the NCAA starts up.That way we can focus on the games and not this bulls%%T.that's all i have to say right now."For the rest of the sports world we are also waiting to see what happens.

i for one know you didn't cheat. It was sorta like how everyone said we were ***. Just that one time when we were drinking and you went down on me. All i am saying is that doesn't make me ***. lol just kidding bro.
I can't believe they are saying that. Just cause you signed a deal to coach in the NBA and then back out...that doesn't mean you are cheating in college. Only means you have had second thoughts.

Hey Skarface2k1, you asked me in one of the other threads what my sim rules were? Well here goes: -
My sim rules. The following rules count for my sim games, plus all the other games in my conference tournament and also all the NCAA tournament games: -
Firstly I check the overall ratings of the teams in the sim game.
If the difference between overall ratings is 0 to 3 (Eg one team is 76 and the other is 77) then the game is simmed once and the result stands.
If the difference between overall ratings is 4 to 6 (Eg one team is 76 and the other is 81) then the sim becomes a best of three series (Eg I sim it, load the game and sim it again until one team has won 2 games)
If the Difference between overall ratings is 7 to 10 (Eg one team is 76 and the other is 85)
then the sim becomes a best of five series (Eg I sim it, load the game and sim it again until one team has won 3 games)
If the Difference between overall ratings is 11 or over (Eg one team is 76 and the other is 90) then the sim becomes a best of seven series (Eg I sim it, load the game and sim it again until one team has won 4 games)
This gives the better team more chance of winning, although upsets still happen. An example of this was my last NCAA tournament I simmed. Two of the number 1 seeds and 1 of the number two seeds lost their first sim game to the 16 and 15 seeds which never happens. Under my new rules, all three teams won the next four in a row and advanced. It made the tournament realistic, i had high seeds left at the end, By the time I got to the elite 8 they were all 1 off sims or best of 3 games anyway.
