Toronto at Pittsburgh

Pittsburgh came into the game with #1 overall D and Toronto had the worst offense in the league.Darcy Tucker ignored that stat and scored 5:18 in off a great behind the back pass from Owen Nolan. It was1-0 after 1st.Pitt only allowed 6 shots in 1st.Middle of the 2nd Nieuwendyk scores off another amazing pass from Nolan.A Few minutes later A.Tanguay doing some great forechecking steals a Belfour outlet pass and slams it into the open net. That made it 2-1,until Morozov scores with :42 left in the 2nd to tie it up.Only 12 shots allowed so far by Pitt, compared to 36 allowed by Leafs.Hal Gill started off the third by sending A.Mogilny into his own bench with a huge hit, that got the crowd really into it.However Mogilny responds with the go-ahead goal to put them up 3-2.Nolan then notches a goal on a SH breakaway.Tucker than sealed the deal with his second of the night.

Final- Pittsburgh-3 Toronto-5

W-Belfour-43 svs on 46 shots
L-Prusek-26 svs on 31 shots

MVP- O.Nolan 1goal 2assists

Pittsburgh at New Jersey

Game Summary-
After Martin Prusek's poor start against the Leafs, the rookie Owen Williams got the nod in goal. He started off shakey letting in a Victor Kozlov slapper on only the Devils second shot.Williams then seemed to be setteling down until the Devils got two more from Stevens and Madden.Pens decided to not pull Williams after the first. It proved to be the right decision as he stoped all 12 shots in the 2nd,including a great glove save on Elias on a 2 on 0 breakaway.3-0 Devs after 2.Halfway into the 3rd Elias scored on a bad turnover by P.Kariya.This seemed to take away all hopes of a comeback.Friesen adds a PP Goal to make it 5-0.Brian Holzinger was lone goal scorer for Pens as he spoiled Brodeur's shutout with 1:06 left.

Final- Pittsburgh-1 New Jersey-5

Post game report-
This is another game where the Pens goalies looked to inexperienced and inconsistent to lead them to the playoffs. This raises a question on whether the Penguins want to go after veteran goalie to bring a more consistent play from their goalies.

W-Brodeur-24 svs on 25 shots
L-Williams-26 svs on 31 shots

MVP-Brodeur- 1 goal allowed on 25 shots

Tampa Bay at Pittsburgh

Looking to end a 4 game losing streak,Pittsburgh came out strong with Hal Gill throwing Lightning players everywhere with his huge hits. After a hard hitting scoreless 1st,the 2nd started off good for the Pens with a Hal Gill shot from the point is deflected in by A.Tanguay who was camped in front of Knabibulin. So its 1-0 Pens. However 1:12 later Marty St.Louis blew past the Pittsburgh D and stuffed in his 9th of the season. Now its 1-1 and that score carried over to the 3rd where with about 5 minutes left M.Rozsival moves up from the point and shoots a hard slapper in the back of the net to make it 2-1.After a Purinton/Roy fight that seemed to energize Tampa Bay, M.St.Louis burned Pittsburgh again with his 2nd of the night and 10th of the year. This sent it to OT where the Pens only allowed 1 shot and got 10 shots of their own,to no success.

Final-Pittsburgh-2 Tampa Bay-2

T-Knabibulin 29 svs on 31 shots
T-Prusek 19 svs on 21 shots

MVP-M.St.Louis-2goals

Post game report-
Even though V.Lecaviler was out(knee injury) Tampa Bay still out skated
Pittsburgh leading to 6 breakaways and many odd man rushes. Both Tampa goals were scored on odd man rushes and goalie M.Prusek made it quite obvious that he was upset with the amount of breakaway chances
they gave up.They will hope to knuckle down on that in tommorows game against the Islanders.

Pittsburgh at NY Islanders

The Pens and Islanders matched up good, with both teams having great defenses and not so good offenses. After a Pittsburgh powerplay had just ended Mario Lemieux ended a 7 game goalless drought,by putting a nice backhander past DiPietro.Halfway through the first Mike Peca skated right past D.Tarnstrom and put home his 2nd of the year.Just a few minutes later M.Peca shoots a shot from the point a skates in on Prusek
and pokes in his own rebound for his 2nd of the 1st period.Later in the first M.Bradley skates in and shoots a blistering shot just wide, so Tanguay seeing the puck behind the net swoopes in from behind the
net and scores a beautiful wraparound goal to make it 2-2 after 1
period.Early 2nd period Prusek made some awesome saves to keep it
tied. The 2nd period was unlike the first there were alot of hits but no goals. So it was 2-2 after 2.In the early parts of the 3rd and Prusek was lookin good, shuting down 2 Islander powerplays and stoped M.Peca and T.Hunter on breakaways.DiPietro made
some key saves late but did not stop Rozsival's slapper off
the faceoff win by Patrik Stefan,so it was 3-2 with 2:21 left.
Pens shut down New York, until with :12 seconds left M.Parrish raced down the right side and..........barely missed his shot wide of the net as time ran out.

Final- Pittsburgh-3 NY Islanders-2

W-Prusek 21 svs on 23 shots
L-DiPietro 34 svs on 37 shots

MVP-M.Rozsival GWG with 2:21 left in 3rd

Post game report-
Faceoffs in this game were the key as the Penguins struggled with them
in the 1st and 2nd periods. But in the 3rd Patrik Stefan came up with 2
big faceoff wins. One he won cleanly back to Rozsival who buried the game winner with 2:21 left.He also won a key defensive draw 1:15
left in the 3rd.

hey i was very confused at some of the games you have reported your writing style is way way to compact, you should break it into parts. like the way my friend and i do ours is, after each period we do a full period report and so on. i think this is a good idea because that way you can seperate your thoughts. the way yours it is wrote at the minute looks like the whole game is one idea and is not. the franchise other than the things i just suggested seems to be great

Just read your last report, and read any of mine HERE (http://www.espnvideogames.com/community/forums/viewtopic.php?t=11522)
